Hello,
I got this NGM phone from my customer as a dead phone. I looked for a firmware but I couldn't find one. I tried flashing MT6589 (without WT) firmware and now it is in a bootloop. I need a firmware for MT6589WT or any kind of firmware which can boot this phone.
Thanks.
Sorry if I didn't post this in the needed subforum, I couldn't find anywhere else.
I have an UNROOTED Lenovo Yoga Tablet 3, model YT3-850L. This is the SIM-sloted LTE version, w/o the VOICE/PHONE capability. My research suggests that there is NO HARDWARE DIFFERENCE between the "M" and "L" models, and that functional differences are determined solely by the different ROMs for the two models. Evidently, LENOVO didn't want to bother to get regulatory approval (i.e., FCC in US, ?? in EU) to sell this device as a PHONE in most markets. It is, however, available is several markets (i.e., South Africa) as the YT3-850M, a giant PHONE, if you will. Swapping ROMs (as has been done for the earlier Yoga Tablet 2 models) is said--supposed by those who have DONE IT--to convert the DATA-only device into a DATA/VOICE device. Like my SAMSUNG SM-T325 LTE, which CAME with native DATA/VOICE support.
I'd like to flash my UNROOTED YT3-850L with the "M" firmware, and have located that ROM. Although I've rooted most of my prior devices (including my SM-T325) and swapped ROMs w/o problems, I have a few questions before tackling this project. Would anyone care to indulge me, please, by trying to provide some guidance? I've enabled Developer Mode and also checked OEM Unlock, FWIW. Thanks.
1) Can I simply place the new ROM on my microSD card, boot into DOWNLOAD mode and flash that way?
2) Or need I do something less direct, as I suspect?
3) Should swapping ROMs (changing REGIONS, since this is a carrier-free device) have ANY impact upon delivery of OTA Updates as long as my device remains UNROOTED?
4) I'd like, for now, to keep this device UNROOTED and not monkey with the recovery, just to keep things a factory-fresh as possible. So, I'd ALSO like to locate a flashable "L" ROM in case I want to go all the way back home.
Suggestions? Many thanks.
BTW: I just came across an odd site called "TeamAndroiders" dot com. It has downloadable ROMs for the YT3-850M and YT3-850F, but none for the YT3-850L. And the site seems to have no provisions for posting questions, contacting the administrators, or much of anything but a LOT of downloads. There's a link to "BLOG" but no entries ther, and no way to post, either. It's in English, but doesn't appear to have been put together by native English speakers, though it's pretty darn decent English. Is anyone at all familiar with this site and its reputation? There are a lot of links to KingRoot, but not just to that. Lots of ROMS and odd apps.
Hi,
I have done downgrade from 6.0.1 "L" ROM to 5.1.1 "M" ROM ending with bricked device, Android boots but lost NVRAM (EFS, IMEI, WIFI Mac, BT Mac, GPSID, Sound).
I spend a week searching for "L" ROM, I couldn't find enywhere on net, someone on other forum helped me, for 3 nights we have been trying to restore "L" ROM with success.
If You want to change from "L" to "M" make sure you BACKUP ALL DATA (including .QCN file where is stored NVRAM).
For questions PM me, I've got ROM, drivers and tools for stock "L".

Make in mind that rom is not to be flashed via recovery menu (update.zip), it's mean to flash via QPST, i've flashed mine "L" version via QPST for some solution You can check out my tutorial for "L" here : https://forum.xda-developers.com/thinkpad-tablet/general/stock-lenovo-yoga-tab-3-yt3-850l-how-t3553994
Beware that "M" model could use different QPST/QFIL version and other .MBN file (could be in rom .zip file that You want to download), check out the guide for "M" model at lenovo-forums because when i've tried to flash my "L" model not every version of QPST/QFIL worked, also check my guide how to enter EDL (flashing mode) to upload rom to Your device.
Regards.
Greetings, everyone! Usually I have good knowledge regarding rooting, custom recovery and flashing a new system. But this time I tried to downgrade the Samsung Xcover 3 of my friend and flashed the Android 4.4.4 sboot.bin with Heimdall - unfortunately I forgot to tick the "no reboot" option. The moment it rebootet, I know do not have any access to the phone anymore.
When trying to bring it into download mode, it vibrates, but nothing else. Neither Linux nor Windows recognizes the phone. Is it dead? How to gain access so that I can flash the correct sboot.bin? Any tricks you recommend?

If you can find a "debrick.img" or "debrick.bin" for your specific model number, there is a method that uses your external sdcard to boot the phone then repair it while it is booted.
But, first, you need to find a debrick.img or debrick.bin for your specific model number. If you can't find a copy for your model number, you can try finding another member here that has a rooted Xcover 3 with the exact same firmware as your device had and have them pull a copy of debrick.img or debrick.bin from their device then upload it for you to download.
If you can't find that, the only other options are to send the device to a repair shop for JTAG service or replace the motherboard.

I did not even expect that someone would answer here. THANK YOU SO MUCH, @Droidriven! That gives me hope to rescue the phone instead of having o buy a new one for my friend. Here is what I actually did wrong: In my attempt to "downgrade" from 5.1.1 Lollipop to Android 4.4.4 Kitkat (downgrade needed to be able to root the phone) I flashed the sboot.bin of Android 4.4.4 Kitkat with Heimdall and forgot to tick the NO REBOOT option.
That being said, the phone now only vibrates when using my JTAG (yes, I actually have one and the phone vibrates, but does not boot into download mode and is not recognized by neither Windows nor Linux). So, how to build this unbrick image? Could you help me with that? Both firmwares are to be found here:
Code:
https://samsungfirmware.net/samsung-galaxy-xcover-3-sm-g388f-stock-firmware
Another thread with sadly no file uploaded was to be found here:
Code:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/general/help/search-g388f-xcover3-debrick-img-sdc-t3399231
As for the creation of the unbrick image, do you recommend this tool? I currently have no Windows at hand but can provide you with the original PIT file if you can run this tool to create it:
Code:

Furthermore, I actually wanted to install LineageOS on that phone. Not sure if you have a Google-foo so strong that you are able to find a working one for me?
Thanks a lot for your help. May god return your efforts in helping me!

Sorry, I'm just now seeing this. Did you ever make any progress? Yes, I think there are some reliable methods to create debrick.img/debrick.bin files, there is one such method posted here at XDA in a random post in a thread here but I can't remember exactly what thread it is.

Don't understand, what you're asking for.
Title says you want firmware files but in the post you're asking for .dll or smth.
In my different LG flash tool files I see loads of .dll files.
Which one are you looking for?
btw posting in the LG G3 forum might have been a better way to find help if my post doesn't help.

Don't understand? If you use recent versions (e.g 2.0.1.6 or 2.0.1.9) of LG Flash Tool, you need a specific .dll that is proper to your device to detect the phone in download mode
I didn't find a .dll file (required) for my LG D722, if you have one please link it right here

No, I don't have it.
Long time ago when I flashed my (now broken) G3 I used this method and needed no downloading of a specific dll.
Therefore I asked.
My G5 will stay on LOS 18.1 anyway.
I've been looking for a way to "fix" this phone for almost 1 week now. I've disassembled it and managed to note an alphanumeric sequence on its motherboard which I believe is its model.
First things first: this phone's touch screen is not working, but I've checked the motherboard and it seems just fine, which led me to believe there's a problem with the firmware, then I've checked the firmware using recovery mode and it seemed odd, it seemed like the phone isn't using its original firmware.
Here's the info that I found using recovery mode:
SW Ver.
alps-mp-m0.mp1-V2.39 _magc6580.we.c.m_P32
Custom Build Veno. :
V207IF3_QHD1200_M_V1.0_2_16_20200808_1758_V1.0.5_B125_HUAX_V50C3_WELCOME_S20_PLUS_PRO_DS
I'm attaching pictures too.
This phone was handed to me, so I have no reference at all. I've searched everywhere I could online and I couldn't find this model for sale, I couldn't even find a phone that looks exactly like this, but some were pretty close, like the Huawei P40 and the S20+ Pro clone, but after searching for that alphanumeric sequence, which I believe it's the actual model number, I've come across the WOLKI WS680, but I couldn't find its firmware for downloading.
FLASHING A FLASHY PHONE
I've downloaded and tried to flash the ROM MT6580__MFT__I7__I7__6.0__alps-mp-m0.mp1-V2.39_magc6580.we.c.m_P21, which seems to be the same that was in the phone, but the phone didn't turn on anymore after this (I believe it bricked). I didn't take backup before doing this, please don't blame me, It's been many years since I've done this kind of thing on a Chinese phone.
Any other rom that I tried just throws a DRAM error in SP Flash Tools, I'm also not able to format the phone (it also throws an error).
The error:
ERROR : S_FT_ENABLE_DRAM_FAIL (4032)
WHAT I AM LOOKING FOR:1 - I need to find the right ROM firmware for this phone, please somebody give me a download link. A custom rom would be good too.
2 - I need to know which exactly is this phone's brand and model (because I need to know its hardware specs).
Please help me find at least the firmware.

Just as it says on the sticker, this phone is a Leioa Vapio summlux h1. It looks like some kind of Chinese clone or something.
Cool, but how can I find its firmware? The phone here is bricked.

I don't know and that's the problem with exotic phones. Good luck with that.
This kind of copied / rebranded phones can also be found outside of China. So, whenever you buy a smartphone be sure to reach an authorized seller or take a closer look at the phone’s aspects.
My recommendation: Ask phone's seller for help.
"This phone was handed to me, so I have no reference at all."
There's nothing I can do about talking to a seller. I'm here just asking for a rom that might work with this mediatek, it doesn't mean that it needs to be the Stock ROM.
Can anyone tell me a workaround for this? it doesn't need to be the stock rom.
these fake phones are low end trash devices running android 6 no LTE. you bricked working ROM for no reason so what?

You really want to know why I'm still insisting in this phone? It's a pride thing. Some douche needs to see this working. That's why. After I "fix" this, I'll take some photos of it, send them to the person and then I'll just get rid of it.
