the problem is that I am looking for a solution without resorting to Magisk.

I own a edge 30 fusion. Does you magisk module work for that device. Can you tell what module is that?

I used magisk module.
First set your font to roboto in settings/font
Second you go to magisk manager, downloads and search for fonts. Low, all of theese might not work properly I don't know.. I use exo 2 font without any issues.. I have also tried 2 others without issues.
Use magisk
Use a file explorer like Root Explorer and navigate to "/system/fonts". Paste the fonts you want to use in the folder. You should get a prompt asking you if you want to overwrite the existing font. Accept and then reboot.
Just use ifont if you have root.
Thanks guys!
I tried ifont and it did not work with rooted 1+6 and H2os and Pie with Magisk
Use TypeFace
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=pixkart.typeface
Then you get previews of the fonts and have whole bunch to choose from.

Would recommend to go ahead and use Magisk. It worked well with my OP5 and now OP6. Have tried using Hifont earlier. Though I uninstalled the app could not restore it back to the normal font until factory reset ( very painstaking).
uses APK fontster ( required root), works very well with many sources.
https://fontster.uptodown.com/android
I am rooted with the pixel 2 font mod installed through magisk, in the phone settings switch to Roboto font, install Ifont and choose a font. Reboot and install chosen font again, reboot

Enjoy

Also, pretty sure you should use Substratum Lite with Android 10. I was having a few issues with the original Substratum on 10

K-Klock. I use xXx no limits magisk rom that has an option to install it. Works great for centering, adding date, changing font. Bunch of stuff you can do with it. You do need to open the app first and configure your settings, build the apk within K Manager then open substratum and install.
If you are not aware, I always get the best results by building and installing, reboot, then enable.

I've been using substratum for a while now and it always works. You must be doing something wrong to get it working.

Looks right. I just had it installed with the xXx-nolimits profile.
Xposed and gravitybox is all you need and is the most reliable, fool proof method to get what you are requesting for clock, date, clock format, and clock locations. Plus I'm sure you will find other options useful as well. I use it for the clock, lock screen shortcuts, and to remove that god awe full blur that OP implemented on Android 10's lock screen music background art.

This is the version of EdXposed I use without issues.
Just curious, but what was wrong with K-klock?

Thanks will have a look at Gravity box. Is it beta version that works?
What exactly does Ed posed do and do I flash them via Magisk.
Tried Kclock and loaded it up via substratum. Then tried simple thing like put clock in status bar in the middle and no joy. Also no option to have date on status bar. Unless I'm missing something?

EdXposed is the xposed framework for Android 10 (maybe earlier too) it is installable through magisk. Which is kinda like magisk, you can download and use different modules. Use the 4.5.5 version I linked.
GravityBox is a module for EdXposed. Install it through EdXposed Manager. Only working version for A10 is the one I link. Beta 10.0.5.
So you have to go into K-Manager first before substratum. Select all your desired options, then hit the bottom right floating button. Now you have to go to substratum and install it.

TaiChi Xposed is also an option and actually better in my opinion because you can activate and deactivate modules on the fly.

These are the files that I have
GravityBox_Q_10.0.0-beta-5.apk
magisk-EdXposed-YAHFA-v0.4.6.0_beta.4471.-release.zip
magisk-riru-core-v19.5.zip
EdXposedManager-org.meowcat.edxposed.manager-4.5.2-452-release.apk
These are the right files to install as per the below.
Zip files installed via Magisk but don't reboot after each one
Installation
This procedure assumes you have working Magisk installation.
1) Install Riru and EdXposed modules using Magisk Manager
2) Install EdXposed Manager app
3) Reboot and open EdXposed Manager app to check if EdXposed works and is active
4) Install GravityBox and enable it in EdXposed Manager
5) Reboot

Installing Xposed Framework

Hello. I understand that Xposed Framework does not exist for our Galaxy A51. Of course, all due to lack of support TWRP. Actually, the question is: is it possible to install Xposed without Recovery and if so how to do it? Magisk installed by patching boot.img file. Is it possible to do this with Xposed?
Hello, I did root with this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oZD2jkkKX_E&list=LL&index=4&ab_channel=InvisibleDiamond and then install TWRP from this thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-a51/how-to/searching-twrp-sm-a515f-t4132751/page7 and then install xposed from Magisk, I only have 3 modules but none download it from xposed, so I wouldn’t know if there is any compatible module, I hope I helped you, I’m not very good at explaining and I have to use translator haha

This tutorial is really simple. There, 90% of the video needs to be cut.
Is this TWRP working? Can he write the /system section?

The TWRP only installed it, you would have to ask whoever is doing it, honestly do not use it since there is nothing to install for this cell phone

From Magisk, installing riru core and riru EdXposed! You see the edxposed icon in the applications and when you want to enter, it tells you to install the original application or something like that, I don’t remember well

Have you tried installing any modules at all? For example, a substratum module? Does it work with the Substratum program?

If this works tell me

Fully rooted but cannot make changes to internal apps, etc.

Hi all,
Am on Android 10 and phone has the latest TWRP, Magisk and busy box. In Magisk the Ramdisk is a YES. Titanium can disable internal apps no problem and seemingly uninstall them but after restarting the phone those apps re-appear. Also, though the latest MixPlorer and Root Explorer can edit/change Mixer_Paths, the original values come back after restarting the phone.
Can anyone advise how to solve this mystery.
Thanks in advance.
A10 and later , doesn't allow changing system files you need to do this via a magisk module systemless.

Thanks for that. I googled 'magisk module systemless' but it came up with loads of different things. Not sure what I should look for.
Use the magisk module Debloater from magisk repo, you also need BusyBox module and Termux app from playstore.

Question Why can't I change my fonts anymore?

So I've had this device for a while, rooted it, have had magisk installed, lsposed, all that. I've changed my fonts system-wide using a "systemless fonts" magisk module, and using a font manager magisk module.. anyway I had to factory reset the other day, because I foolishly installed Andrax and it wreaked havoc on my phone. So now I can't seem to change the fonts other than the few baked into A12, via "Personalize" . Any idea why this is?
I use this module in A12 (https://github.com/D4rK7355608/GoogleProductSansFont). You can probably replace the fonts to your preferred ones in the install file and get it working. After flashing it in magisk, you will have more font options in Moto app.

Thanks for your reply, any idea (specifically) how I'd go about editing it, for use with another font?
