Instructions on how to record videos when the screen is off on Android phones for those who do not know:
First you download the application: Camera Background video record

Note, please remove the screen unlock mode with the face. Because when using face unlock mode will cause conflicts that cause the application to stop recording when the screen turns on again.
And finally, you can place your phone on your bike, motorbike, vehicle or any other place to get the moments you want conveniently.

Is it possible to have the camera app on video recorder mode continue recording even with the screen off? I just got a nexus one, switch from an iPhone which could do this via cycorder. Sometimes I'll record videos which are over two hours long but the screen being on it kills the battery really fast.
Is there any way I can solve this?
I am looking for an app for my tablet that I am building into the dash of my car I want an app where I press a single button basically launch the app and it will immediately begin recording video using the front facing camera on the tablet without showing that video recording on the screen the idea is if I get pulled over for example by the police I can tap this button and it will began recording the inside of the car with the of the front facing camera on the tablet without showing anything on the screen either home screen or screen off any suggestions streaming be nice but not required

Try Record Now!. It does exactly what you want it to do, works great (I tested it myself), and is free - that's always a plus, right?
EDIT - Just found Secret Video Recorder Free. I haven't tested it, but you might want to try this one, as well.

How i prevent app to auto play next video on folder?
I want it to play just the selected video but when it ends
It automatic play the next video and i cant find how to prevent that!

1. Try Settings > Player > Back to list
2. HW and HW+ decoder would recognize portrait video but only if device support video rotation.
Please describe the problem in detail.
Back button during video playback used to cause video to play in the background when background playback is turned on. Now it stops the playback. Home button still allows background playback.
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Play a video with background playback turned on.
2. Press the back button in the video playing screen.
3. In 1.8.4, video would play in the background.
4. In 1.8.7 beta 1, video stops playing.
5. Pressing home button in both versions causes video to continue playing in the background.
Hello,
I had been trying to record the Online Lectures I bought from an e-learning App.
But when I records the whole screen goes black. Is there any way to record those video lectures??
Also,
We need to turn off the developer option on settings to play the video lectures.
App uses automatic OTP detection and there is no way to manually type and verify OTP. So that we can't open it on any emulator.
Anyone please help!!!!
The black screen problem may occur because of the codec, media player, video acceleration function (overlay output) or copy-protection program.
