Made an order for a black 256gb 7 Pro. $999 minus $540 trade in for a 6 Pro in 256gb and also received a $200 Google store credit promotion.
I got my order in! 2 black 256gb. 1 for me and my girl.
Hazel, 512GB here. $275 for a Pixel 3XL trade is not too shabby, considering they are going for well under $200 on Swappa. Guess I can use the $200 credit for a tablet, or nest device.
Hazel here. Something different as the last 6 Pixels were black.

Here in Canada, they're offering a whopping $71 for 3XL. Why bother?
I did a 256gb snow from Best Buy in the USA. This is the first time I have a viable trade in option (pixel 6 128gb) so I signed up for that too but we'll see what the final offer is. My pixel 6 is pristine but I'll wait for the in person offer and decide - $480 seems high and I just don't trust anything these days. Got the $200 e-gift card for my mac mini purchase down the road. Hopefully no faulty first device like my Pixel 6 that I had to return and the 2nd one worked like it should have.
Got mine from the Google store. Traded in my P6P for $480. Here's to hoping that the radio is better on the P7P.
In the UK the trade in was £320 for P6P so not worth (when £500 on ebay) it but i assume thats because the watch comes with pre orders, which makes it a really good deal. Upgraded on the strength of the macro and zoom lenses and hoping the caonectivity/modem is better
Preorderded the 128GB in black with EE, and will get the Pixel Watch LTE chucked into that for free
Does anyone have modem information used on the P7P?

Google hasn't offered any info yet, there is just the leak/romour that the P7 Pro will use a new/unannounced Samsung Exynos 5300 modem.
According to
First details of Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro come roaring out: 2nd-gen Tensor, new Samsung modem
9to5Google has uncovered concrete details of the Pixel 7 and 7 Pro, including the devices’ codenames, Tensor chip, and Samsung modem.
9to5google.com
"GS201 chip will feature a – currently unreleased – Samsung modem with the model number “g5300b.” For comparison, the Pixel 6 lists its modem as “g5123b,” which is the Exynos Modem 5123. Given the model number, we believe Google’s second-generation Tensor chip will have the Exynos Modem 5300"

Since Google doesn't offer any info on their website about the modem, we'll probably have to wait for a teardown/review where the modem either gets read out in software, or someone takes the phone apart and can tell us what's inside.
Still in wait and watch mode.... for now.
Ordered White P7P and Matte Watch. I'll take the $480 from Google for my P6P and use the $200 for Buds Pro.
P7P 256GB Hazel (time to mix it up a bit: all my prior phones have been black) and P7 128GB Obsidian. $400 credit (=$800 total) at the Google Store for each of two Pixel 5s 128GB.
What's the consensus on the color for the 7 Pro?
I just pre-ordered snow (or white), but the hazel with bronze accent looks really good also.
P7P 128 Obsidian here.
I preordered a Pixel 7 Pro 256GB in Hazel with a free Pixel Watch LTE from the UK Google Store. That was too good an offer to pass up.

I am in the same boat as you. I grabbed a Snow P7P 256GB model and am trading in my Black P6P 256GB. The remaining price had disgruntled me at first, however, I couldn't resist doing the upgrade to what appears to be a device that has the few extra features that would cause the phone to be perfect for 2-3 years of my usage.
I am, however, still rather worried about the colors... I was so torn between the Snow and Hazel models - and I don't know if going with the white one was the wrong/right choice... I can't really see them in person first and so I'm torn by only getting to see a few quick glimpses of the backs of the phones in some of the online video overviews...

Who else ordered the phone and what are the delivery dates?
I ordered the 128GB, White, delivery showing as 02-05 November.
Ordered from Google Store
I have the note 9 512gb now, and I am passing on the Pixel 3 XL.
Delivery will be 1st November according to carphonewarehouse, and aside from the notch, the RAM and Storage aren't enough for the price, Pixels struggle with closing apps in the background, and to add to that, I actually think they battery capacities and the phone designs are just deal breakers for me. Added to the fact it has no headphone jack.
I would fill the phone in 6 months and that's unacceptable for £969. EDIT: with the added emphases on the motion shot and the no blinking thing, would probably only take 3 or 4 months to full 128gb.
Google will delete all your full resolution photos when the Pixel 2 years unlimited storage runs out as well so that's not a long term option.
As for trying the Pixel 3 normal, the price jump over the Pixel 2 is too much. IT's even worse value.
I am pretty sad google made such a hash of the Pixel 3 and 3 XL.

Wow
Pixels struggle to close apps in the background - not on mine
Delivery 1st November - that's uk launch
Headphone jack - usb c converter included
If you can fill 128 gig of storage then you should probably look at some other type of storage
I believe the high rez photos are for life, they wont delete, you just won't be able to add to them after that.
I just got quoted a VERY similar contract price for a new 3XL from EE for what I'm currently paying for my Pixel XL
looks like US will be getting them few weeks earlier than us
Vodafone currently only have prices for 64 storage option.
Been out of contract with them paying £12.50 a month sim only and deal wasn't great the offered me. Will be transferring to EE. Went for the 60GB Max option.
Breakdown cost came out at £30 up front for the device and £54.40 a month 24 month.
Despite my opinions on the gigantor notch I could not resist the temptation of stock android even though I am coming from a OnePlus 6, ordered the Pixel 3 XL 64gb Black from John Lewis.
What swung me was the fact you can hide the notch which makes it look like a Pixel 2 XL which ain't a bad thing and the Pixel 3 was just a bit too small for my liking.
EE - 64gb white 8gb data and free BT sports pre-ordered
currently on pixel OG XL 128GB and doubtful if I've EVER been over 30gig on the storage front
my average data has been about 5.5G/month so no need to have much more (wifi at work and at home)
Hey lads, i'll be gettin the xl when it's out too, waitin to see if get any freebies later, so far pre-order doesn't make sense, 3 weeks wait and we gettin nothin on top,

How are people managing to fill these phones up?
I've not filled my 32Gb Pixel XL up once thanks to Google photos.
I've ordered a 64Gb 3 XL in black - expected 1st November from Three.
Unlimited data is £54/month (not for everyone I know). Haggle with them, I got the £99 upfront wiped off
im paying a small fortune for mine on ee but itll be worth it im runnin on 1gb of space free roughly most weeks on my gen 1 xl
got my hands on the xl 3 in the metro centre ee store last night (demo only) boy she is nice !
Pulled the trigger and ordered a white 64GB from Google
Temptation is too great this time of year, as it's been every year
Coming from a 2 XL, very much looking forward to an improved screen

I think you are realistically looking around starting at £100 on eBay
There are a few that are on £140 with no bids and not much time left
Sucks tho as the pixel 1 is still a great phone

Edit: This may be a Canada only price reduction and cashback situation
SEE: OnePlus cuts cost of OnePlus 7 Pro by $100 in Canada, offers cashback to original purchases
I just received an email that due to a price adjustment OnePlus will be refunding the price difference on OnePlus 7 Pro units purchased between 10AM ET, May 17 and 12PM ET, June 28 is eligible for cashback that covers the price difference. The money is automatically deposited into the account you originally paid and not some write-in or web page, which I appreciate. It looks like all three hardware configurations of the OnePlus 7 Pro are covered.
I must say that that's a class move especially for a second time OnePlus customer like myself (previous OnePlus 5 owner).
Thanks OnePlus!
Hard to believe, is there a link to this announcement?

Wow, that's incredible. I've never seen a phone manufacturer backpedal like that on price. Good on them for admitting to the price markup compared to the US and acting on it.
That's sweet for you all! ?
This is true, I got an email from OnePlus letting me know I'll be getting some money back due to the price change. It's pretty awesome of OnePlus to do this for original purchases!

All of the 7 Pro models dropped by $100 so you should be getting back that much. The email says cashback for the price difference.
I have now received my refund ($115). I am so impressed by this. They did not have to do anything as, as an early adopter, I always expect to pay a premium. Even some sort of credit towards a future purchase would have been nice, but actual cash back is beyond any expectations.
It certainly has made me more likely to keep supporting OnePlus in the future.
I'm still waiting good to know at least 1 person got something.
Got a refund.
This type of thing helps me to decide to be a loyal customer.
Paid about $1000, the price went down $100 and they gave me a refund did not need to ask it just happened.
Got a refund as well !
Received mine ($124 Nebula Blue) on Jul 15th into my credit card account via PayPal like a few others.
I'll likely recycle the money on a Whitestone Dome tgsp screen protector, DBrand skin and an aluminum bumper protector. Sadly my $20 ebay Front&Back tempered glass protector isn't up to snuff but I suspected that going in, when there wasn't a wide selection of cases.
Got mine today too! $115.50. I may put it into another dash charger for upstairs.
Hey 3DSammy
I want help on MHL hdmi resolution for OP7T which is still on OOS 10.3.6 rooted.
I have a 4k display which limits my HDMI output to 4k 30FPS. I want to make it 2560X1440 which OP7T supports on 60FPS. If any link for this requirement please share with me. I want to forcefully send 2K resolution to my external Disply without having an edid emulator.
So backstory, I found a really good deal on Facebook Marketplace for a OnePlus 8T (US Version unlocked from Amazon) for $370. It's in excellent condition, is paid off, and seems to be the unlocked KB2005 model.
Since the phone is basically half off at that price, I'm super tempted by it. However, the other part of me almost wants to wait for the inevitable OnePlus 9/9 Pro announcements in March and maybe get that one of those on launch. I also had the idea of selling my current phone or the 8T if I'm impressed by either model. That's where I thought I'd come to XDA to ask for advice on what I should do, or if anyone has other ideas!
I currently own a 6T that I got on launch in 2018 and I absolutely love it. It still works well, but being a big tech enthusiast is making me start to get an itch to upgrade soon (especially since my dad just got a Galaxy S21 and was really impressed just helping him set it up).
Thanks all!
I also was on the fence with ditching my 6T for this one, but it's quite an upgrade in almost every way. Once you experience how fluid the screen refresh is, there is no going back. I scored mine on a trade-in promo. Wouldn't pay full retail for it, tho. Seems like a really good deal at that price point. 9 series is going to be very expensive at first, so factor that in. If anything, grab 8T and see if t-mobile is going to be running trade-in promos on them (9 series). You can always sell it on swappa for more if you don't like it.

You bring up a good point there regarding trade in deals. I'd also imagine that T-Mobile is bound to have a deal for the 9 Series. I got my 6T on their original trade in deal in 2018 where you could trade the OG OnePlus One and get $300 off the 6T. It was a no brainer, since I essentially got full value for a 4 year old phone.
Do you recommend oneplus 8t or is better wait?
Hi there, unfortunately my actual phone stoped working and I came back for my backup phone.
So I'm looking for a new phone and in this moment we can find Oneplus 8t for around $500.
Do you think that is a good deal? Or is better wait for a possible oneplus 9 lite with SD 870?
After watch and read many reviews, I did a list with the principal points. Can you tell me if the list match with your real usage?
here are the good things that I observed:
+Screen
+Battery
+Fast Charger 65w
+Dual speaker
+Oxygen Os
In other side:
- Others chargers doesn't look work well
- No SD 865 Plus
- Regular camera
last month traded my Tmo OP7T (with $90 balance, so i paid it off) with Tmo OP8T, paid $0 out of pocket, and it actually lowered my monthly by $20/mo. Tmo still valued the OP7T for $750. So, new phone, lower monthly
Curiosity got the best of me, wanna try that flip4 to see what is it about so, I traded my S22 vanilla for $650. Fair trade I think, I paid $799 for the S22 256GB and now adding $350 I'll have the flip, blue, also 256GB plus a free blue silicon cover. Novelty, but I'm hoping that the flip form has its pluses, small in the pocket and then: voila! got 6.7" screen. I'm also curious about that Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, supposedly no heating issues and a positive reviews about battery endurance.
Lesser camera setup comparing to S22 and that's ok, I enjoyed the S22 mostly as being a 'pocket' phone, I also have the 22U to carry around if I'm expecting to spot something interesting for photos/videos.
I also found out today, after placing my order with Samsung, that am gonna be able to pick-up the package personally, right from the BestBuy store - no more worries about unreliable/tricky Fedex deliveries.
You said it, the "small in the pocket" is what this phone has to offer. I have a Z Flip3 that I'm upgrading. I'll never go back to a brick in the pocket.
I lucked out on the announcement day by getting $900 for my current Flip3, for a blue Flip4 with 256GB and a blue case, for $99. I thought it was a great deal, and on Tuesday, August 23 I'll know for sure. ;-)
I pre-ordered the Flip 4 with a Flip 3 trade in for make value. Also picked up the watch 5 pro and buds pro 2. It was too much of a deal to pass up. My daily driver is the s22 plus. FedEx has my delivery possibly for tomorrow. The package is already at my local FedEx hub.
I really wanted the watch and new buds. I may just sell the Flip 4. Hopefully everything is delivered tomorrow.
Ordered mine 5 minutes into presales available. Said delivery would be today. Nope. Got a tracking number stating next Thursday and tracking number not even active after almost 2 days. Go figure...

Here in the US? That sucks. I ordered flip4 blue on 8/19 and picked it up at BestBuy today. The retail sales at Bb starting tue 8/30. And I was just complaining in the other thread here that the bestbuy doesn't handle trade-ins returns.
Yep, waiting in USA
Last year, when I traded in my Galaxy S21 Ultra to get an unlocked Galaxy S22 Ultra on Samsung.com, I got a $1,000 trade-in pre-order deal, which meant I only paid about $250 for my Galaxy Ultra S22. The S23 series was just announced, so I looked at the Samsung site to see what trade-in deals they had for an unlocked S23 Ultra. Pretty underwhelming. Only $500 for an S22 Ultra, which would bring the cost to about $700. Sure, you get 512 GB for the price of 256 GB, but I don't really care about that (256 GB is plenty for me). If I could upgrade to S23 Ultra for about $250 to $300, I'd pre-order it in a heartbeat, but not at $700.
Bummer! (I know, first-world "problem"... ).

If you're ordering from the US, there's an additional $500 instant discount, not sure if this is available in other countries or, how long the offer is in effect.
I guess it's Samsung's way of pushing people to pull the trigger, FOMO on the $500 instant discount. Yeah, I agree, those trade in offers on their own are pathetic, you're better off checking out a carrier model vs unlocked direct from Samsung.
If you want 12GB RAM, moving up to the 512GB (or 1TB) storage option is necessary, as the 256GB storage option only has 8GB RAM.
No kidding. This really pissed me off. I thought I had missed something. Now not so sure I will switch up.

It'll be applied once you select color/storage/trade-in. (on unlocked models only, you'll see the message right above where you select Yes/No for trade-in). The carrier models have a different trade-in allowance, you'll see different messaging in the same spot.
You'll see the pre-tax price at the bottom of the screen before you check out.

It's the same $500 trade in price that they're referring as "total instant credit". There's no additional $500 discount other than the trade in discount reflected in the pre tax price.
it is really amusing for me to read about people complaining about things as op does, I have always paid the full price for all my devices, looking for those trade in, or signing never ending contracts looks to me like a pain the ass, better, you pay for your phone, walk out of the store, and that's it
It's not a $500 instant discount. I'd get a $500 trade-in discount for my Galaxy S22 Ultra to get an unlocked Galaxy S23 Ultra straight from Samsung. That's way worse than last year, when I got $1,000 to trade in my Galaxy S21 Ultra to get the Galaxy S22 Ultra. I'd have to pay about $700 now to trade in my Galaxy S22 Ultra for the S23 Ultra. That's simply not worth it to me. Had it been $300 or so, like last year, I would have done it, but not $700. Ah well, would have been nice, but my S22 Ultra is still a great phone.

Yeah, we're talking about the same thing,$500 + whatever device you're trading in for an unlocked model.
I'm guessing the $500 instant credit isn't going to be around much longer, if at all, past the pre-order period that ends on 2/17/2023.
My apologies if my choice of words led anyone to believe there was any other additional $500 discount.

I'm curious what you do with your older phones if you're not trading them in. Samsung for the most part (not including this year) offered great values for trade ins in good working condition which means less headaches and hassle which is normally the case when you try to sell it yourself. Unless you're the exception and rock multiple phones as your daily driver.

What never-ending contracts? This isn't about contracts, simply the phone itself. I'm specifically talking about buying an unlocked phone straight from Samsung, not tied to any carrier. That's basically the online version of "pay for your phone, walk out the store, and that's it" like you do. Use it with any carrier. I, for one, prefer to pay as little as possible for a phone, so if I can get a great trade-in discount like last year, I'm all in.
I was simply comparing this year's S23U trade-in offer to last year's S22U, and it's way worse than last year. Last year, I got way more for my phone as a trade-in than I would ever be able to get selling it on Craig's List or OfferUp. That's definitely not the case this year. I'll hang on to my S22 Ultra longer, which is totally fine with me.
you got it wrong, I spoke in general, about you, I was referring about the cumbersome procedure of sending the phone, waiting for them to judge for what ammount they assess it, etc. I just pay for the phone at the store and presto! , I never sell the phones I have used, I use them 2 or 3 years
yeah I`m with GoogleFI and I preordered through there, 600.00 instant discount and free upgrade to 512gb storage for the same price as the 256gb just like what samsung doing on there webiste, all I have too do is keep it activate on GooglefF for 120 days, so it was $635.99 total for the 512gb green color.
Edit: also the samsung phones on google fi are the unlocked versions.

Bummer! (I know, first-world "problem"... ).

Exactly my feelings and situation right now. Pathetic game by Samsung. I was waiting all these days for the launch and willingness to upgrade. With just $500 for my s22u this doesn't make a sense at all to switch. S22u is so fast that any faster won't matter. It clicks good images too. With 700 plus taxes its not a worthy upgrade. Had it been around 350 usd i would have jumped into the wagon

What particularly irks me is that you get a higher trade-in discount for a previous-generation iPhone 13 Pro Max than their own Galaxy S22 Ultra. Awesome way to reward brand loyalty.
The S23 will be just like all other phones.. People will buy them. Then not long after haveing it, they will complain about how bad the camera is. Or O Samsung dropped the ball, this phone is no differnet than bla bla bla before it.. I prchase my S22 Ultra back in April of last year.. I paid in full $1400. It does what I need it to do, Call, Text, Surf, email.. That is all I need it for.. Unless the phone can do the following 1. Brush my teeth, 2. flush the toilet, or 3. cook me dinner.. I will not be purchasing a new phone until at least this one dies.
BTW Iphones are like Toyota's they hold their value.. Samsung is like American cars. Pay high price, then watch the value drop, one you leave the store.

totally agree with you, even my beloved galaxy note 7 performed very well after 4 years of use, when somebody stole it from my son, the things is, some people have unrealistic expectations about the latest premium devices, I try to get all the pertinent info before buying , I have had Sammsung devices since the S3, after, I moved to the note series, now I returned to the S, just because the ultra model is the new note
Watching this thread, looking for best deal??? Yeah, Samsung is not giving any good deals when I looked. Better yet, I have tmobile, when I went to see what trade in was for my s22 ultra was. unbelievable $150!!!!! Are they nuts??????
Ken
Yep not a very good deal on Samsung website. Even with my perkspot discount I will end up paying around $700 for 512 GB. But then I saw email from my carrier, Google Fi. They are giving me 512 GB version for $600 plus $300 trade-in value for Galaxy S22 Ultra. So, I guess it's pretty good deal for me through Fi. In the end I'll only end up paying $300.

That's why, if it still works, and if the S23 does not have anything breath taking comepared to the S22. Then why in the world would people want to get a new phone.
