Update a not well-known 8.1 (treble) android Chinese smartphone to 9.0

Hey there!
My name is Thomas and I'm new to this forum. I have a cheap Chinese phone: the UMIDIGI One Pro. It's a really good smartphone provided with stock Android 8.1.
It's been a few weeks since Android 9 came out and I think it's a very good version. I currently use Pear Launcher and Power Shade to have a close interface (I'm a fan of Pie one).
I like hacking and I had a little fun yesterday by rooting my phone with Magisk and installing the God's favorite language with Termux (RUBY <3). Just looking at examples of what I could do with Termux I saw that I could see if my phone supported Treble, and contrary to what I thought ... it is!

I am a newbie so correct me if I say nonsense but I think it would allow me to update to android 9, right? I watched some tutorials but they use TWRP (and I have not found a version compatible with my phone because it is really little known and recent).
I am currently able to use:
- ADB & Fastboot
- Termux
- Magisk
- SP Flash Tools (I used it in order to install Magisk)
- The ROM folder downloaded from the website of my phone: [link blocked as I'm a new user]
But I'm not able to:
- Unlock bootloader (when I restart on fastboot and perform the command "fastboot oem unlock", it asks me to press volume up to confirm because it could void the warranty and then it says "unlock failed"
- Install TWRP (as I don't found any supported version)
Do you think I can update it to android 9? If yes, how?

So I installed it with SP Flash Tools. :good:

I also found a TWRP for the ONE PRO, but I have the ONE, you think it will work ?
And from what source did you get the boot.img to install Magisk ?

I have the One Pro it's the same phone except you have a bigger battery and I have wireless charging capabilities...... keep me posted because I might want to do the same

I know it's not a theme but I have a problem with a device that doesn't have its own theme.

Hello, I did not find great things but I saw that vivo starts to publish their .tar file (so must go to linux in my opinion) open source I give you the question link ( https://opensource.vivo.com/Project ) but there is not everything the phones but it's a start I must already learn C and C ++ coding or I don't know too much. Is your bootloader unlocked? Fastboot is only present if BL is unlocked.

You can't use this tool
It is meant for use by Service Centers
Normal users do not have the username or password .
Take the phone to Service Center to get it fixed

MSM tools (EU/Global) get stuck at waiting for devices.
No ADB (unauthorised) or fastboot. In Windows device manager after holding power and both volume buttons for fastboot it's shows as this:

Drivers are fine by the way. All upto date. Only ones I couldn't find were the official OnePlus ones, but those should be automatically downloaded after plugging in right?

If this doesn't work for you (make sure you try it with Sha256 checked and lite firehose unchecked), you will have to grab the downgrade package from the pinned post and either use the local upgrade tool or TWRP to flash it.

Two ways:
* To wait for OTA update or try to get it trough VPN for other country.
* Download Lenovo Rescue and Smart Assistant and to make clean install via Rescue --> Rescue tablet.
Disclaimer: Works only for global stock firmware. If you have ROW on your tablet - you can do this; if you have ZUI now - don't make it, you tablet will broken and you will cry

Anyone know how to fix it? I got android 11 backup from lolinet but I don't know how to flash it without twrp. Do I have to use the lenovo recovery software?

Just got the update, complete with the broken taskbar Really don't like the white and not happy it can't be changed unless you disable dark mode - which I normally use all the time. Can't be good for the OLED display to have a bright white taskbar permanently on the display.

Does anyone know how to flash my P12 Pro back to android 11? I downloaded the android 11 image from here but do I have to installed TWRP and unlock my bootloader to be able to install it? I really don't want to root unless I absolutely have to...
I downloaded the Rescue and Smart Assistant but the only image it will allow me to flash is the latest android 12L image...
