Stuck on TWRP's "teamwin" loading screen after years of working normally and no changes - Samsung Galaxy S7 Questions and Answers

Hello, I've been using this phone for more than a few years now. Reflashed the system a few times over the years and was currently on Ivan_Meler's amazing LineageOS 18.
I saw that a bug on his 19.1 version I was experiencing was potentially fixed, so I started preparing to switch to that.
First order of business was going to recovery and doing a full backup, I had gone into recovery not too long ago.
Except I got boot looped instantly.
The current situation is:
- Model is SM-G930F
- The device is rooted
- Device will not stay turned off, if I force turn off with volume down + power it reboots instead
- Device is able to get into download mode and it seems to work normally
- Device will always boot to recovery, except when I ask to boot to download mode by volume down + power + home (not sure if there is a button combination for specifically booting to system, lmk If there is)
Things I already tried:
- Letting the battery run out completely to hopefully clear some cache -> Device tries to boot to recovery as soon as I plug the charger in
- Using ADB during the stuck splash screen -> Device eventually gets recognized by windows but it throws the generic "Your USB device malfunctioned" error, ADB doesn`t recognize it.
- Rebooting by launching a harmless command in Heimdell -> Device reboots but nothing else changes, still stuck.
- Letting battery run out at different stages, like in the stuck teamwin splashscreen, in the warning message before download mode and in download mode -> nothing changes
Additional information from the moment I tried to get to recovery and got stuck:
- I fat fingered "reboot" instead of turning off the phone, so I just held down volume up + home to get into recovery (I had already done this successfully before).
- My phone has USB debugging turned on
- My phone was plugged to my PC in USB Tethering mode when I tried to get to recovery
- My phone was set to use USB Tethering mode by default when plugged via USB, because I use that function a lot.
- My PC had the ADB server running, but was not actively running anything on device at the time.
I remember having been stuck in this same situation before and being able to recover it without losing data. But I have no recollection of how I did it.
If there was a way to make my phone stop trying to reboot and just turn off, im sure that
I would be able to boot into system, because i dont see how anything could've gotten messed up there since the phone rebooted normally and wasn`t reflashed or anythng
I really didn't want to have to wipe it, since my last full backup was a few months ago.
Do you guys have any suggestions? I was thinking of trying to flash back the exact same TWRP version through Odin, without flashing anything else. And seeing if that fixes it since the version is shown in the teamwin loading screen, would that be safe?

Hi, any progress ? I'm in the very similar situation, but flashing the same TWRP with Odin didn't help and I'm still stuck on TWRP logo. And adb doesn't see the device (neither when I'm in download mode nor when I'm on TWRP logo)

Is the device softbricked?

[Q] Hanging at startup with no download mode access

Hi,
I have a Galaxy S (I900) which I attempted to root yesterday. Stupidly, I used the wrong root kit and when I rebooted I was left hanging on the startup screen with the network logo (orange) flashing.
My boot menu was disabled for some reason but I could however access download mode - which I did. Whilst trying to rectify this I downloaded a couple of kernels that were recommended to fix the problem but to no avail.
Finally, running out of options I downloaded Odin3Execution v1.00 One-Click downloader, connected the phone and clicked start (which was also recommended to me). This completed successfully but when the phone tried to re-boot I was left with a flashing AT&T logo (which is not my carrier) and download mode no longer executes when pressing the buttons. Also, when I plug the charger in the screen just goes black.
I realise that this is my own stupid fault but i'd really appreciate some help on the matter.
(would a USB jig get me back into download mode?)

My Galaxy Tab 7.0 plus (GT-6200) suddenly died, help please!

The unit has been used for about 2 months and remains quite new. It was quite stable before. Yesterday night, about half an hour after plugged in for charging and with WiFi Hotspot turned on for sharing 3G data to another netbook, the unit suddenly rebooted itself. It then stopped at the start-up screen and remained there for several minutes. I kept holding the power button for a few seconds to turn it off but it then automatically reboot itself afterwards, and stopped at the start-up screen again. It means that even complete turning off is not possible.
Trying to enter into recovery mode showed the following few lines:
# MANUAL MODE #
-- Updating application...
Copying Common Apks.
Click to collapse
and then it automatically rebooted again. It means that it can't enter into recovery mode normally.
It was possible to enter into download mode. And it was the first time this machine went into download mode. I run Odin Downloader and flashed the official stock ROM. After showing "Pass", the device rebooted itself. Unfortunately, it still stopped at the start-up screen, just showing "Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 plus". It is really troubesome. I have experience playing several Android devices before and it is the first time I face such troublesome problem.
The device is an official product. The biggest problem is that the original purchase invoice was lost and most likely that I couldn't get official support, repair service or replacement.
May I ask if anyone would kindly provide me some help or advice. Thanks!
Instead of going into download mode go into recovery mode and see if there are any errors. Your scenario is sounding very similar to the one I had in the past.
I just ran into a nasty snag at boot logo as well. nandroid, stock kernel and factory reset were no help. Try Odin back to Stock, it still may not get past boot logo, hold vol up and power to get into recovery and factory reset. Hope it works for you.
Unfortunately I was unable to get into recovery mode even after odin flashing stock ROM.
It rebooted itself a few seconds after displaying some lines of text. I can't see the normal recovery menu.

[Q] Stuck at Google logo when powering on, can't enter recovery mode

Hey guys,
Few days ago, I woke up and saw my Nexus 5 was out of battery, charged it and when I turned it on it started to update and it was going through with optimising apps ## of ### and when I checked it again, it was stuck on the four circles animation. It got stuck on this screen for quite a while so I powered off, powered on again and now it just stays stuck on the Google logo, what should I do?
I've tried entering Fastboot Mode and selecting Recovery Mode but then nothing happens; screen stays on but stays black. I tried connecting it to my computer so I could backup my files but I can't get it to appear as a Nexus 5 drive and access the folders. Also LOCK STATE - locked [preetty sure I unlocked it back when I first got the phone in 2013 but then I haven't really done anything custom with it]
So I've tried following the steps here: androidforums.com/threads/nexus-5-stuck-in-the-start-up-screen.887612/page-3#post-6817816, but I can't get my device to appear as an adb device, even though i ran the 'fastboot oem unlock' command and it unlocked the Nexus? i.imgur.com/VHHjaVe.png (Android device is showing but 'adb list devices' command doesn't detect anything?)
Ideally I would like to access the Nexus 5 internal storage and just copy paste the folder to my computer to serve as a backup and save files, then flash a new image/factory reset it. I went over to my cousin's place last night to see if he could help as he is more technical than I am but he couldn't flash a new image onto it. I've also unlocked the phone a few times with the 'fastboot oem unlock' command, which changes to LOCK STATE - unlocked, but then if I power off the phone and enter Fastboot Mode again it will show as LOCK STATE - locked.
Also, I'm not sure at this point if the unlocking has wiped whatever data might have been on the phone anyway? [does the internal sdcard get wiped if you run oem unlock? e.g. I had about 6/32GB left on my phone but now it'll just be 31/32 GB because it wiped?]
Thanks, I hope my description of the problem is clear. I have tried googling extensively to see if anyone has experienced similar problems but they're not quite the same (eg. stuck on Google screen bootloop is a power button issue but my phone doesn't constantly reboot and the power button seems fine) [clearing cache or running Recovery mode, but my phone can't run Recovery mode] {Flashing new image but that didn't seem to work either}
Sorry my links don't work, I'm a new user so don't have enough posts here!

LG Logo Bootloop - Can't access TWRP - No DL Mode

Hi guys,
New to flashing custom ROMS. Good news - flashed CM12, then LiquidSmooth and I'm learning a lot after having soft bricked my phone a few times. Bad news - After trying to get back to Stock I'm not able to get out of this LG Logo bootloop. The LG logo will flash, screen will go black and the whole process starts again. It doesn’t progress past that. I'm unable to get to TWRP recovery or download mode.
My idiotic move:
Iffy stability with camera and mobile data with CM and LiquidSmooth. Decided to go back to Stock.
I flashed my nandroid backup, which I believe led to a bootloop (can’t remember). Was able to boot to TWRP and get back to CM12. Then I had the genius idea of using AutoREC and selecting the “Go Back to Stock” option. Yes, it’s already sounding like a bad, and nonsensical idea as I say it now. Can't remember exactly what I did next - I either flashed my nandroid backup or did a factory reset through CM settings. Threw me into this bootloop.
The details:
Model - D800 - Am sure of this.
Stock software before flashing CM12 was Lollipop 5.0.2 via OTA.
TWRP Recovery 2.8x something or other. Used AutoRec to flash.
I can interrupt the bootloop and access Factory Hard Reset through Power + Volume Down
Had to go to JB Bootloader in order to Flash ROMs. Errors returned otherwise.
Roadblocks:
No download mode. Holding Volume Up & Inserting USB cable doesn't work. Although am able to get bootloop to include a blank screen with red flashing LED through this method from time to time.
Phone boots up, and goes directly into bootloop when plugging USB cable into phone. This happens both when plugging into a wall charger or into a computer. I think this is probably the biggest pain and is holding up things from progressing. Can turn off phone by holding down power for a few seconds, BUT if the phone is plugged in it will continue to boot on its own.
Phone not recognized by computer & ADB However, was at times able to get Device Manager to recognize the phone as an "Unknown Device" after going to the Factory Hard Reset screen. This is no longer working after trying different drivers. I’ve went through LG Mobile Universal Driver as well as the Koush driver.
Going through Factory Hard Reset via hardware buttons only throws phone back into BootLoop
Can’t boot into TWRP
Any insight or help guys? Thanks in advance. I think getting into Download Mode will be a quiet victory. I’d like to try to use Supersports guide once I get there to go back to stock.

Samsung s6 on bootloop need to access my data before flashing new ROM

Device: unlocked international - Samsung s6 - > SM-G902I never rooted!
i didnt do much with my phone. left it on my table and came back to check. its gone black screen unable to switch on.
thinking the battery drained, i connected it to my charger and then the battery logo blinks on and off.
no percentage number seen. no signs of it charging. just pops on and off.
next day, i tried turning it back on again. this time is the "SAMSUNG S6" logo thats on and off (i guess on bootloop?)
and on the top left corner of the screen a tiny red text says "RECOVERY IS NOT SEANDROID ENFORCING"
Im so desperate to get all my data backed up! And the last choice would be to flash a new ROM and theres a high chance for data to be wiped out.
ive been trying ways to access my data before flashing a new ROM and i dont mind to pay for anyone who is expert at this and able to back up all my data!
This what i did:
- went to get it checked by technicians (they said motherboard is corrupted and no way of backing up the data - choice is to flash new ROM)
- Vol Up + Home + Power buttons (not working)
- Vol Down + Home + Power (works and it directs me to Download mode)
- i tried connecting it to PC via USB but PC will only detect it when its in Download mode. however not able to access any file from it.
- i tried installing DrFone data recovery and it doesnt work, my phone will start to go back to bootloop and my data recovery process gets interrupted.
- i tried using SmartSwitch but it says device not recognized/ although i have installed latest USB drivers for samsung s6
- i tried connecting it to ODIN and it is detected while on DOwnload mode. but im not gonna flash a new ROM just yet
now i have heard of this twrp or adb but im researching more on it.
please guide me on this!
if you have further suggesstions or advice id appreciate it.
i think the phone can be saved. but the data needs to be saved 1st! and no doubt, it aint easy!
