Questions about Redmi K50 Pro - General Questions and Answers

I've been using my K50 for 2 months now, but there is some issue for me about the phone. If someone has encountered or solved the issue before. Please reply to my thread.Thank you
1. Can't install google chrome but google chrome beta is fine(i can click download but it's not avilable right away)
2. Microsoft Teams isnt working (everytime i clicks in the app and it just says preparing about your stuff etc)
3. I was trying to download APKs but it says Cant install system application from unofficial Channels.
Hope someone can help me to sort out these questions! Thank you

I'm using K50 (dimensity 8100) too, and I get no problem with that. Just tell u this:
Better you should unlock bootloader and root it then install whaterver you want. Remember to turn off MIUI optimization.

Hey guys, I'm looking forward to buy this phone since it is actually dirty cheap and the specs looks pretty good...I was wondering about some things:
1. I think it comes without play store installed...do i need to root the device in order to install it?
2. Do this device comes pre-rooted?
3. Will I be able to play Pokemon GO on it, considering all the "security" features implemented?
Thank you all in advance

1. I installed CM on day one, but I remember having Play Store in official ROM. The icon might be different though.
2. No. In fact, NONE of the consumer device comes pre-rooted. However, root is available. Please check in these forums.
3. Can't say.

I am confused. Do you want to debloat MIUI rom? If yes install xiaomi.eu rom which is debloated and tweaked/optimized pretty well, and it's stable.

Xiaomi.eu is not debloated MIUI. It's an unofficial ROM based on the China ROM rather than the Global. The only reason to use it really is if you have a Xiaomi phone where there isn't an official Global ROM because it includes Google stuff, runs in languages other than Chinese and English and has the China specific apps removed. It's also buggy and slower than official MIUI.
There is a MIUI debloat app linked on the official MIUI site that works surprisingly well. You don't need to be rooted or use a custom recovery and by default it only shows apps that are safe to remove.
http://en.miui.com/thread-3620390-1-1.html
i strongly recommend you to use this tool https://github.com/Saki-EU/XiaomiADBFastbootTools/releases/tag/3.1.1
ive used it for a while now and never had a single problem.

Do these ROMs have the slight but constant micro-stuttering that the stock ROM has?
I guess all these ROMs are loaded with Google's stuff?
With the exception of Play Store I'd like to be free of the Google fleet of useless apps.
It's great that you've been able to port these ROMs. I hope a lot of people use them. I just have different needs! Tx.

Yes, all of them. You can "freeze" or delete unwanted Google apps. Do it manually or try to find scripts which can do this automatically.
Hi, I was thinking to buy this tablet.
Can these ROMs fix the issue of too high brightness even at the lowest level?
If not can you recommend a free application to solve the problem?
Better this or teclast m89 pro? Thanks.

To solved this brightness issue I use the sFilter app or any other blue light filter app.
But to tell the truth, I wouldn't recommend to buy any Teclast tablet. I have a problem where he doesn't accept the installation of Instagram or Facebook app. I saw that many people have the same problem.
Anyone else with this problem or know how to solve?

I added solution, check it and let me know if it works for u
It's possible to change brightness limits manually by editing firmware files, If there's a big problem for u and other users I can change its' range sometime. Just let me know what firmware u are using.
Hello dev!
Are you still working on this device firmware? I bought it this month and not even on official site could find updates for, so I don't know if there is any firmware that I should update before using these that you made...
I'm using Pixel Experience and found it great. But I had problems with the initial setup, which always had trouble trying to recover the configuration of another device. When I checked to set up as a new device it work fine.
I could not open Magisk too, but i wanted to disable it and remove, but always shows error when trying. I'll try MIUI in sequence to see if I can.
Another question: The modified Stock has gapps included? (and can I remove root?)
Thank you so much for your work, I was happy to know that have other firmware for this tablet.
PS.: sorry for the "google translator english", my english is poor. lol

I used the modified rom too and liked a lot, but I couldn't install some apps through the playstore and had problems to remove root (Magisk). So I installed ASUS ROM and it is very stable and everything is working great. I'll leave it and see what happens!
Thanks!

Hello!
1) There is no more firmwares to port for our device. Also I don't know much about modding firmwares, so Pixel was my first successful experiment.
2) Latest official firmware for our device is TOS v2.1 which can be found in appropriative thread here. Seems no more updates will be released for our device.
3) Restoring function is bad idea esp on custom ROM. You should always make clean installation.
4) Custom ROMs can only boot with root access (e.g. Magisk). You cant uninstall it. In other case your device wont boot (Android 7.0 classical issue). P.S Magisk is not like "classic" root, so you can "hide" it for apps that don't work on rooted device.
5) Of course stock ROM includes Gapps. All made changes are listed in topic. Root can'f be removed on any custom ROM (see p.4).

I gave the tablet to my son, the Stock ROM that came on it is'nt good and so I put the ASUS ZenUI ROM. (After testing all others)
I hide Magisk and the ROM is working perfectly.
Thank you so much for the great work.

How to enable ANT+ on K30 Pro

Hi there,
I just got my K30 pro, and installed MIUI 12.1 by xiaomi.eu 20.7.9 Beta, which is Android 10.
I installed ANT Tester and it shows that Built-in ANT detected. I tried to unlock the Built-in, which normally done by Permission>Additional permission>use ANT hardware, unfortunately, there's no this "Additional permission" under ANT radio service app's permission tab.
On my previous One plus 7 pro with Oxygen OS Android 10, I can enable Permission>Additional permission>use ANT hardware.
So, I guess it's the MIUI's issue?
Any suggestions?
Regards

Have you got ANT Radio Service app from Google Play? If so, go to that apps permission and set the additional permission there. If not, download it and then do the above.

[Question] Realme 5 Pro (RMX1971) Bootloader Unlock RUI 2.0 Android 11

Hi Guys,
I wanted to unlock the bootloader of my device which is currently on Realme UI 2.0 (RMX1971_11_F.03) and Android 11. I have tried the Deep Testing apk from the realme community here and the app installed but it will not open. I also tried the apk from an XDA thread here and the apk won't install at all, just giving me an error message "App not installed".
Could you please help me with the process on how I can unlock bootloader and install custom firmware?
Thanks!

Deep Testing doesn't work in Android 11 in Realme 5 Pro. You have to downgrade to Android 10 and then use Deep Testing. It worked for me. I searched for many apks but no luck in Android 11. But it works flawlessly in Android 10.
Thanks @DevAmoureuX ! I will try this.

I tried this but doesn't work, maybe because of the version of software, He mentioned there that it should be on C. 04 but mine is on F. 06
Even mine was the same. Realme Ui 2.0. Try factory resetting and then install the rom.
