I try to find LineageOS with Android version 6.*, but I didn't find it.
Any clue ? Xprivacy was not ported to Android 7.* right now, that's why I don't want to install 14.1 / Android 7

I have several questions about custom ROMs like lineageOS etc.
I have an old and cheap Huawei Y540 and it only runs Android 4.4
So i thought maybe i can install a custom ROM instead of buying a new phone.
1. Why does a custom rom not run on all devices? I thought they are based on linux which handles the hardware <-> software requests?
2. What happens when i install LineageOS or Resurrection Remix on my device? (Note: my device is not supported)
3. I found guides like the one you can find in google when you look for "build lineageos rom for any device" which is named "How to Build Lineageos rom for any android device Easily ! {Full guide}" (Sorry i'm not allowed to post links) to build the lineageOs for my device. Do you know if any/many bugs will occure if i try that for my device?

I am trying to build a Android O based custom rom for my device (Moto X Force /Droid Turbo2 i.e Kinzie) which has very little custom rom support and development support too.. Till now it has only Unofficial LineageOS14.1

I think it's best to start from the clark phone. LineageOS 15 is already out for clark and they have a very similar device tree.
Many devices have been receiving lineageos 18.1. Even OnePlus devices as old as OnePlus 3T have had lineageOS 18.1 developed for them. The community over here is awesome and has done a lot of work. If someone could also develop lineage OS 18.1 for guacamoleb, we would have the most widely used custom ROM for our device. Thanks.

You can try your luck with GSI but it'll be a lot of trial and error and the results might not be spectacular.
I'd advise waiting for at least an unofficial compilation for the device to be available.

With the A52 A72 and A52 5G being relatively new phones on the market I would think it will be a little while before we see an official release from LineageOS for it.
