Hello
From time to time I have issues connecting my GW4 Classic LTE to my Pixel 6 Pro A13.
Today I updated my Pixel's Google play Services to the latest beta. After that, I received this notification (allow notifications for GW4):
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Then I checked the notification settings permission:
It seems that I can't activate the switch because of restricted permissions (security):
Now The Galaxy wearable app can't connect to the GW4. Also phone can't hold the Bluetooth connection alive:
I had this issue before. Only factory resetting the watch solved this problem. But I don't wanna reset my watch every few weeks. Rolling back to previous play services changed nothing. Clearing play services app data also triggers this issue.
Any ideas? Thanks.
EDIT: I allowed the restricted notification setting like the following instructions. But still no BT Connection. "No notification s possible" notification came back. GW4 only uses WiFi or LTE
Unless youre prepared to deal with the downsides of it, never update core apps like play services to a beta....
My own Watch 4 got its connection wiped just doing an update to a "stable" build from the play store overnight
There is no easy fix, i have to reset and restore from backup....
My ultimate point here is i wouldn't actively invite mayhem by using betas....

That's crazy! What did you update or use?
Chances are, you have automatic updates enabled for the Play Store. It checks to see if you have it enabled and asks if you want to enable it if it isn't. It also presents you with a warning that data charges may apply if enabled.
Just check your settings and disable them.
I've created an android app which will forward persistent notifications to the Gear S2. I's a work in progress but I believe I have it stable enough to use. I mostly created this originally to get google maps turn by turn on my watch and haven't tested much past that. If you feel up to it please download the development build and let me know what you think. After installing the app make sure you launch it, tap the three bard in the top right, tap "Notification Settings" and finally set "Gear S2 Persistant Notifications" to on. Once you've done this you should start seeing them appear on your watch. If you want to hide any notifications open the app and uncheck the box, this will cause that notification to no-longer appear on your watch. Bugs will be tracked using GitHub so if you wind any issues please post them there!

Google Maps
anybody use this? i'm thinking about pulling the trigger on a gear S2 and the google maps thing would be huge for when i'm on the motorcycle.
Super useful. But it's force closing a lot on the LG v20 stock Android 7.0
An Example: Deleting a file within FX File Explorer causes your app to force close.
Been able to reproduce the issue every time.
Hello All,
On both my wife's and my Tmobile S7s running 6.01 on the November security patch, the location services are terrible. The phone keeps thinking I am at my house when I am 20 miles away at work. My wife has the same problem. If I toggle location services off then on, it instantly updates to the correct location. Eventually if defaults back to my house. This wouldn't be such a huge deal if I didn't have a SmartThings home automation system. SmartThings keeps unlocking my front door, turning on lights, and putting the heat back on because according to the phone I am at my house and the automation kicks in. Here is what I have done to try to fix the location issue:
- Location on with method = GPS, Wi-Fi, and mobile networks.
- Improved accuracy on with Wi-Fi scanning and Bluetooth Scanning enabled.
- Under Optimize Battery usage, I have unoptimized Location Services (meaning it should always be running).
Does anyone else have this problem with their S7s? If it were jsut mine, I would chalk it up to a faulty device, but it is happening to my wifes as well. Any other tricks to make this stop happening?
Check your apps to make sure the location permission hasn't been unchecked. Exactly which app could be missing that is hard to say. A factory reset might be your friend for this kind of situation.

Getting fedup of trying to sort this by myself as Samsung Tech are nothing short of useless.
When Samsung Free updated to the latest version with the TV included I started getting the message I need to wait until "the leave process" has been completed and can take "up to 1 day". Well two weeks later (14 days!!!!!) it's still not resolved. Posted on Samsung Members and a few others have the same problem.
I have tried the following
1. Force stopped and unistalled updates. Free then works but keeps bugging for the update, once updated then same message.
2. Tried no 1 again and pressed "leave Free" which worked but once updated same issue.
3. Reset app preferences
4. Removed Samsung account from the phone and once the account was back then same message
5. Same problem on my tab s6 which I have now deactivated Samsung Free.
Any ideas apart from using Microsoft Launcher or Nova

Sammy tech support sucks worse than a Bronx hooker
Try clearing system cache.
Clearing data in all related apps.
Factory load on all Samsung junk.
Clear Google Play Services data (just for good measure)
Inversely try updating Sammy apps from the Galaxy Store only not Playtore.
Reboot, reboot, reboot...
Make sure you haven't disabled a needed parent app.
Turn off all power management... destroyer of worlds.
Replace with a 3rd party app or wait for Sammy to fix it... eventually... maybe.
Hello,
I've recently got OP8T and I was not planning to use Google account on it as I simply don't need it. But since the start I'm having issues with location GPS, the issue is when I'm inside buildings it's not finding location by network/BT etc. eventhough in settings I switched it on. Only GPS outside of buildings works. Another issue is that I do not see maps in different apps like uber or food delivery apps. So I thought the issue might be because of my lack of Google account login, but when I tried to login I get this error "Couldn't sign it - there was a problem communicating with Google servers".
So I'm a bit stuck with lack of network localization, lack of maps in apps, and can't login to Google.
Any idea how to fix any of those issues? Photos of those issues here: IMG
Thanks a lot.

from the screen shots you provided you do not have cell service.
is the radio broken or are you running without a sim?
I tried both, with sim and without. The solution was hard reset and now it works. Thanks for help anyway.
