Hello, following the latest update 13.0.20.0 (OTA), my Xiaomi 12 restarts on its own and quite regularly, without any particular reason. This never happened with the previous version of Android. Does this happen to you?
Do you have the restart setting enabled?

I installed the New update .. The smartphone restarted without magisk and I simply patched the patched magisk.. Everything works fine..
Fonctionne parfaitement.. Nice..
You can see magisk is enabled on V13.0.20.0 (SLCEUXM)
I had a notification for the OTA update, but before I could install it, it has gone again. Maybe withdrawn?

Is it strictly security, or are there any UI/UX bugfix or additions?

I got this notification for a system update and I just rooted about a week ago.
Since im rooted can I accept and install the system update. If yes how do I do this in twrp. Will I loose root?

If you accept, the phone will go into a bootloop since the stock recovery has been replaced by twrp. So don't accept the update. Reflashing the ROM would stop the bootloops if you just so happen to accept it.

To me I believe its just strictly security tbh since I haven't noticed anything else. I will see if performance has been improved or not

Actually I did accept it when I first saw the notification then when I realized I was rooted (about 4 years without root) the phone booted in to TWRP and I freaked out ... so I moved the slider to see TWRP was asking to enter some sort of password or key for it to continue. but then I saw the cancel button and I cancened and it took me back to the main TWRP screen where I just rebooted the system without issues.
The only reason I rooted was because OREO battery life was 10 % per hour weather I touched or did not touch the phone. I thought this security patch might have battery optimizations.
But thanks for your replay, I'm going to stay away from this system update since I'm rooted not. I guess I got luck and not bricking my phone.

11.0.4? If yes ,then I wonder why they stop the OTA just to start it over without changing/fixing anything...
It's like xiaomi devs are a bunch of amateurs who doesn't own this device therefore unable to test their updates and just hope for the best when they release one...

I'm on Q from the first update - 11.0.2.0 - which is running without major bugs, just a bit worse battery usage and less maximum brightness They don't offer me any update yet.

There's a process for applying the OTA or a fastboot image you can use to upgrade.
I expect you'll get a OTA offer soon anyway. I just missed it last time but got it now. OTA from 10.0.20.0

Hello everyone! Poco f2 pro global version owners, have you all received the 12.0.4 update?
I have a problem with my Poco F2 Pro, Global version (MI). Everyone I know has received the Miui 12.0.4, and I haven't got it yet. I'm starting to think the debloat procedure (wich I found here) has something to do with this problem. I used a java program to uninstall some application, and I used adb tools to disable android traceur and to optimize all the apps after the 12.0.3 update. I also disabled some apps, and everything I did was safe, as confirmed by other people. I'm writing here because I don't know anyone with the same problem, and would be happy to discuss about it and find a solution.
Just download update from Xiaomi firmware update website and then paste into your phone, then go to phone update settings then update using this file

I have the global version, and I'm still on 12.0.3. It even shows "what's new" message instead of "no update available" when I refresh. It has been like that since the day I upgraded to 12.0.3. I haven't messed with the ROM at all.
They did push the update 12.0.4 at first, my battery was low so i stopped the update at around 70% in night and went to sleep. Next day , when i checked , the update was gone and haven't received the update again till now.

Better RAM managing, some little camera fixes (it's better now) and other minor changes, I don't think there is too much difference between 12.0.4 and 12.0.2
I am on global version...in europe...12.0.2 and no new updates

I'm on 12.0.2.0.QJKEUXM Global EEA ROM.

Hi, wondered if someone could help. I have just got my phone back from the repair shop and it has been factory reset, which is fine, but it has now got an out of date OS etc on.
I've tried downloading all sorts of ROMS from the xiaomifirmwareupdate page, and it just keeps failing whichever I choose. Wondered if one of you clever souls can help?
Many thanks!

Hi thanks I run the tool yesterday but it told me I have to wait 128 hours
Hello,
Same problem here.
I updated my X3 NFC EEA as soon as updates went out, so I'm on latest (12.5.4 R).
My wife didn't update and now she's stuck on 12.0.8.0Q.
I understand I could update with Mi Flash Tool, but doesn't it require to unlock device for fastboot (and then need to wipe) ?
tbh, you're all not stuck with 12.0.8.0. eventually you'll get the update. because not all phone/device got the update at the same time. some device got the update and some others not yet, i think you just need to wait

best bet is to keep trying the updater every few hours . im on the latest version now and not once was i notified of an update , just kept checking . also try clearing the updaters cache / data , i remember that tip from my note 5 days lol
I confirm. My device is Poco X3 Indian (Non-NFC. Karna codename). Software stuck v12.0.10.0 and last update time is April. I cant flash any roms. I must wait unlock the bootloader.
Hi,
My Xiaomi 12 still hasn't gotten an new update and is stuck on MIUI 13.0.27.0( SLCEUXM) with security patch of oktober 2022.
I would like to get to the latest miui 14 and would like to know what is the best way to manually update this safely with a original ROM?
Should I do this incrementally start at MIUI 13.2.6.0 and then go to the next till I get to the latest or can I just update to the latest MIUI 14 directly?
Tnx
Gradually is the safest method.

Thank you for the quick response.
I downloaded the MIUI downloader app are those ROMS good to?
I need to choose for a recovery ROM and then I can install it with the updater app right? So starting with version MIUI 13.2.6.0 would be the safest?
Downloaded from the site I told you, if the downloaded choice 'incremental update in yellow'.
Then go to OTA, 3 points at the top right, install update (if this does not appear, tap the Miui logo several times).
If it works, try OTA first.

You mean this one right?
It says it's only around 80mb is that correct?
When it's for a update from Android 12 to Android 13.
Error on my part, take the full rom.
it's the first A13 before yours.
If that doesn't work, download the incremental update of the current rom and then check if an update is offered.

So I tried to install the stable recovery ROM MIUI 13.2.6.0.TLCEUXM but it didn't work I keep getting this message "can't verify update can't flash this stable rom"
Then I tried a newer version recovery ROM MIUI 14.0.5.0.TLCEUXM but same message.
Also tried your suggestion to use the incremental update of the current ROM V13.0.27.0 but then I got the message "can't verify update can't downgrade ROM version"
Do you have any other ideas on how to fix this problem?
Try to change region (Belgium/Usa/change continent/country) and restart afterwards.
Then turn on WiFi and check for updates.
====================================
or unlock the bootloader and you can install any stock or custom rom.

Tried changing the continent/country and turn wifi back on after restart but no updates were found.
I really didn't want to try messing with the bootloader because of the warranty. I also read somewhere Google play services and bank apps not working when its unlocked.
Anything more I could try without unlocking?

Nope, you can re-lock the bootloader after installing the stock rom.
No need with a Xiaomi Eu rom (certified play store, everything works).

Only thing I haven't tried, is using the incremental update of that version V13.2.6.0 because it was only 80 mb. If I try this update and it works will it then download the ROM information on it's own or something?

Nope,only solution unlock the bootloader.
Just to be sure I downloaded the 2 latest versions that I hadn't tried yet.
The recovery ROM of version MIUI 14.0.7.0.TLCEUXM and 14.0.8.0.TLCEUXM.
And they both seem to work
Since I'm still on Android 12 now and missed so many updates in-between these 2 latest versions. Would it be safe to install one of these?
Doesn't matter, it will work or not.
Note that if you have a bootloop afterwards, with the bootloader locked you will have to pay to recover your phone (this sometimes happens).

Never at 100% with forcing.
EDIT:moreover, even regular updates via OTA can lead to a bootloop.

Zero risk does not exist and this risk increases when you force the update by skipping versions.

Oke, yeah I wanted to do it step by step till I got to the latest miui 14 and still don't get why the older versions don't work.
The only older version I could find that also worked was version V13.0.33.0.SLCEUXM but can't find much about that update.
