Hello there, quick question: i have a Samsung S22 Ultra, not modded: how to enable the guest mode? I had this useful thing on my OneTouch
No guest mode on S22 etc. Only on Samsung tablets
and its not possible to activate it modding the phone with a ROM?

It was removed unfortunately. No explanation as to why
You can go to dev options and turn on PIN app. The use task manager and choose and app and select PIN, so now the phone is stuck say Youtube, if they try to turn it off, it will ask for the password..

I have read to turn on the System UI Tuner, swipe down and then hold my finger down on the gear representing settings, the gear would then spin, and I would be able to enable the System UI Tuner menu. This does not work for me with Verizon Note 5 on Marshmallow. Has Verizon restricted us from doing this? Can someone try on a Non-Verizon Marshmallow phone (like a Nexus) and let us know?

Works on my Nexus like that, but not on the Note. Not really missing anything in my opinion.

So in other words - you feel as though the "System UI Tuner" is useless?

Doesn't really do anything for me on my Nexus 7. Pretty much a gimmick as far as I can tell. You can move around the quick setting tiles. Turn them off or on also. That's about it, and usually for me doesn't even do that.
Hello all,
I am very interested in buying this phone. I still have my Xiaomi Mi Mix (that im still trying to sell) and im looking to upgrade to what the Mi Mix shoud've been. I've had a lot of pros and cons to this phone and I want to see if that is still the case. I saw Mr. Mobiles review on the Find-X and was wondering if the New S has the same issues. Please, if you have the phone, had the phone, want the phone and are just holding out for... Mi Max 3/Honor Note 10, please let me know what you think/feel for this phone. I would be very interested.
Does the phone have these software hoops:
Silent or underlivered notifications regardless of system volume settings?
Cant Swipe to dismiss notifications?
no lock screen notifications?
doesnt play nice with custome launchers?
inefficient app switcher?
cant text messages without first logging into an OEM back end?
Prompts for permission to use celluar connection for every single app?
cant use google voice typing, even after Gboard and google voice engine installed?
For me i’m undecided :nex a or nex s

get the global version. no issues
I've the Chinese version with Google play services installed.
I have zero problems, the phone is amazing.
I've logged in with a public Vivo account, so I can change launcher, but stock launcher is good for me.
Everything is working fine, notifications, updates, etc.
I think Chinese, global or Indian version don't create issues for users.
With ADB commands I've deleted all Chinese bloatware, the result is a great battery life.
Does anyone know how to turn off the charging indicator? I just want the screen to be completely off

Ran into the same issue. Turns out it's the always on display. Turning it off in the settings wont work the only way to do it is disabling it entirely. The only way I found do it is disabling the app with adb or buying package disabler pro online and disabling it with that app.
Hey Jazz,
You hit the nail on the head. I went directly to the PluginAOD service and disabled it.
I really appreciate the help!
What app are you guys disabling as I cannot find it in all apps list
What's the app or service name?
Thanks

I'm using CCSWE App Manager (Samsung) from the Play Store.
Look for "Always on Display" and then disable the PluginAOD service

Does this allow you to still use Always on display?
Edit: I answered my own question, nope.
Hello Folks,
I ran into the same issue for my Note 10 + and I think am on the track of resolving this gracefully. I know of a developer who has created custom AODs which can disable a lot of elements of the system AOD, like clock battery etc for Note 9.
I have just contacted him here on the forum requesting for a paid version to fix this issue. It's just about removing a few lines of code from the AOD app which will resolve the issue.
Can you please support my post here and request Mr. Ash Man for help ? I am sure he will be able to fix it. Pls go here to support and read about his AOD mods. https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=80135868&postcount=223

There's a work around where you don't have to disable AOD or install any other apps. It's posted in one of the other half dozen threads about this issue. A quick search, or even just browsing the thread titles, and you should find it pretty easy.
Wow, what a helpful post. Thanks for providing no help or guidance to these answers with a simple link. If you can't halp, then don't comment
There is an option now to turn it off now (not sure if it is in android 10 only). Go to
Settings -> Display -> go to the bottom and search "Show charging information"

indeed is for android 10 only
For those who have Android 10 OneUi 2.0 and want to use the new Gestural navigation.
Connect to a PC via adb
And use this command:
adb shell cmd overlay enable com.android.internal.systemui.navbar.gestural
While this works, there is a significant lag/pause when going home on Nova, it works much faster on the Samsung launcher.
Don't work.

What model do you have? I don't see any lag at all in mine. But I think I have to turn auto restart off as restarting the device wies it and it has to be reapplied.

I use Nova and swipe up from the bottom to go home, with no lag.
I swipe up from the bottom right to show recent apps, and I use One Hand Operation+ to swipe left from the far right to go back.
No lag at all, Verizon branded Note 10 on the latest firmware.
Edit: I don't use the Auto Restart feature, but I never have to re-enable anything after a reboot.

I'm on the N975F, using the newest version of Nova Prime. I tried resetting nova settings to defaults - same thing. I'm going to try other launchers now.
I was just forced (phone broke) to upgrade from my Note 10+ and the timing was such I took advantage of getting the S22 Ultra. I am liking the device so far, but it seems there is no way to use Google's SmartLock feature for autofilling passwords with the Gboard keyboard outside of Chrome. I normally use Keypass for my offline keychains but like the convenience of google, but now Samsung is forcing me to use their crap system for password management and it seems like I can't switch to Google for things like apps like I used to in the past. Is this expected behavior and is there any way to change it? I've done a bunch of digging and everyone historically has pointed to changing the auto fill settings but there is no alternative options for SmartLock in the Samsung pass settings on the device that I have been able to find.
Thanks!

Go to Settings --> General Management --> Passwords and Autofill
There should be two sections there, one for passwords, and one for autofill services.
Press and hold on the name, Samsung Pass, for 1 or 2 secs. When you release, it will go to a selection screen where you can choose Google Autofill Service.
Hope this helps, took me a while to figure it out.

You are my hero! It is completely unintuitive to get to this screen. On previous generations this was the default screen but it's buried behind a hidden damn menu? Grrrr! Thank you!
Thanks!
Thanks, that did the trick, it was driving me crazy after returning to Samsung after 8 years or so of other phones.
The setting on the samsung A52 s (android 13) looked like it already had google pointed as the password manager, but when I pressed the word: Samsung password manager !
it finally gave a pop-up to choose Google.
(Really press the word samsung password mamager, Not the "gear", really press the word. The gear is there for settings of the "chosen" manager)
Now it finally works as intended, thanks again!
Worked like a charm!, so annoying not more obvious
