How To Guide Install Playstore on chinese Huawei P50 Pro HarmonyOS - Huawei P50 Pro

The Huawei P50 Pro is the perfect smartphone for many, if it were not for the Google services. Luckily, it is possible to install GMS on the Huawei P50 Pro! We know this because we did it. With the following method, the native Google Playstore and all Google services are installed on the chinese Huawei P50 Pro with HarmonyOS. No Gspace or other shady stuff.
In this article we will go through how we did it and ask some questions to the XDA-Community.
Note: Thanks for this tutorial to YouTuber Average Logs. Leave the man a subscribe or like if it worked for you. Also thankt to djeloy for explaining us some sad stuff about this not being compatible with Global Versions of the Huawei P50 Pro.
Requirements
chinese Huawei P50 Pro with Harmony OS
Windows PC
USB cable
Notes
Resetting the device is not necessary
In our test, no data was lost and the risk of losing data is practically non-existent. Nevertheless, making a backup beforehand is definitely a good idea!
Serious damage to the software is also not possible with these instructions. If you have problems, simply reset the device to factory settings.
On which devices does this guide work?
Theoretically, this guide works with Chinese Huawei P50 Pro smartphones with HarmonyOS 2.0 (in our case 2.0.0.272). Most likely, other devices with HarmonyOS 2.0 can also use this guide. We cannot say whether this manual also works with HarmonyOS 3.0 or Harmony OS 2.0.1. In case you have this version on your phone, you should try it out first. If it doesn't work, try to do a downgrade (HiSuite or Dload USB)
However, the manual does not work with the global version of the Huawei P50 Pro because it uses EMUI instead of HarmonyOS. According to this XDA Developers thread, it is possible to install HarmonyOS 2 on the global version of the Huawei P50 Pro without too much effort. Unfortunately this will not help you out to install GMS, because of a kernel level restriction.
But now we come to the instructions on how to install the native Google Mobile Services (GMS) including Google Playstore on the chinese Huawei P50 Pro with HarmonyOS 2.0.
Instructions
In this video you will find the current step-by-step instructions. We have tried an older tutorial, which is attached below. However, since it uses the same method and is the revised version, we are linking the new instructions directly here. Try it out.
You may see warning messages after installing, indicating that the device is not certified for Google services. In this case, there are also instructions that eliminate the messages. Just try one after the other. In our case, the messages were displayed and then disappeared after following the instructions below.
1. enter the device ID in Google:
2. reset Google Apps:
3. turn off background updates:
In the end, you should have it done: You now have the Playstore and all Google services on your Huawei P50 Pro. This is our P50 Pro:
Note: By the way, we used this guide, which is a bit older. But try the one above first, as it is more detailed and deals with a few more problems.
What (doesn't) work with this guide?
After the Google Playstore is installed, you can download and update apps without any problems. The Google Play Services can also be updated.
Updating the firmware on your smartphone should also be possible without any problems. The Google Playstore will not be removed or become non-functional as a result.
Google Firebase push notifications do not work. These are used by Gmail, eBay Classifieds, ebay, Twitter, Discord, Outlook, Microsoft Teams. These apps work but do not display notifications.
Google Pay is also not usable with this guide. However, the Curve Card is a good alternative. The LZ Play app and the Googlefier app should not be deleted after the instructions to eliminate errors that might occur later!
Collect information
Let's use the swarm intelligence. After all, we unfortunately do not have all Huawei smartphones at hand to test the manual thoroughly. We therefore pose the following open questions to the XDA community and would be very grateful for your comments:
Has anyone managed to change the European EMUI system on the Huawei P50 Pro to HarmonyOS using the guide from XDA-Developers? As explained, it should not be possible. But still it would be good to get real feedback of users who tried it.
Has anyone managed to equip another chinese Huawei smartphone or tablet with HarmonyOS with the Google Playstore using these instructions? (e.g. Huawei P50 Pocket, Mate 50 Pro).
Thanks for your help! Remember to leave your device Model (Global/China) and the HarmonyOS Version in the comments.
best regards
Joscha from Chinahandys.net

Hi bro, have a good day, i try this guide and july guide, i have jad-lx9 C432 and use Harmony 2.0.1.197 but in the step 4 when open LZPlay is in error and close app, you have ROM Usb OTG harmony 2.0.0? For this version phone

damn... Are you sure that it does not work with HarmonyOS 2.0.1? Can anybody confirm this?
The point is... I can only find 2.0.1 HOS firmwares for the Huawei P50 Pro. I nowhere saw a HOS 2.0.0 firmware to download.

i try to found 2.0.0 and never see, i have JAD-LX9, is LAMC25 or C432 is Snapdragon, but i try and try and never pass 3 step and 4 step, your harmony os version? i use 2.0.1.197
i think i need harmony 2.0.0 version for JAD-LX9 and u have AL50 and version C00, some tutorial for my version?

Non-Chinese versions can not be installed with GMS, either HARMONY or EMUI ... Basically because it blocks LZPLAY from the kernel in non-Chinese versions
Chinese versions are those ending in JAD-AL00 and some more are the Chinese .
The version of your terminal is AL-XX that Chinese version. Therefore you can have GMS, since you have no kernel level restriction.

Wow.... Can you tell me where you know this from and how sure you are regaring this information?
Also do you know some way to bypass this limitation? I'll edit the guide here if you are 100% sure it will not work on global versions

Is Android Auto working on the car tablet after using this method or not?

This is a more accurate explanation
I have a P50 Pro and a P50 pocket (with harmonyOS) both European version and as simple as doing a LOGCAT when you open LZPLAY and you will see that the SElinux kills the LZPLAY process.
The only way to make a ByPass is to be able to unlock the bootloader currently do not know how to move the google APPS with their permissions to the corresponding folders.
Now the easiest explanation ...
If you saw the comments of the videos you uploaded. In all of them you can see that there are many comments saying that these methods do not work in NON CHINESE terminals.
And if you search on youtube channels dedicated to this outside of china, such as ELOYGOMEZTV, you can find an updated list of the terminals where you can put google services currently on terminals outside of china.
Here is the list
https://pastebin.com/raw/ERpeXY4a
I'm not trying to kill your post, just not to confuse users who are looking forward to having google services.

That's indeed not a good news for the European users, shame to huawei for blocking us the possibility to sideload GMS

@furiousjay Could you make a backup of your LZPLAY with the backup app and share it with me for testing. Thank you.

Partner you have to pass me the huawei folder because the password encryption and everything goes together with the folder.
And make a copy only of LZPLAY, which is possible.

Hi you at XDA,
having an issue similar to the ones above finding correct ROM for Hiproxy at ML for my p40Pro (ELS-NX9) with 11.0.0.193 europe (C432).
There are only files with ELS-N29 instead of ELS-NX9
NX9 spits out no results. As I read, some people installed the ELS-N29 on this phone and bricked their mobile it gives me heavy doubts. Btw, had all running and then - stupid me - changed my google password being on 11.0.0.193. Now I need to rollback, because Googlefier runs, but I can't get google apps to run without big hassles.
Thanks in advance and take care!

a. You don't need to downgrade to solve your problem. This solution works very good ( you can delete your google account and add it with new pass):
b. To be sure: on phone (calling) app: *#*#2846579#*#* (ProjectMenu), then
2. Veneer Informations\Version Info\Version component version
To download (just in case): NX9= N09 and 29. NX39 is different. This one is working very good for yours ( files on YT description):

I tried your suggestion and had all my Goggle stuff back incl Fotos and maps. But after 1 or 2 hours it suddenly said: "You were logged out of google. Please log in again" Trying to do so only lasted a few minutes. After a while I received the "Not certified message". Any clues???

It is difficult to say what is there.
I dont know why it logged out of Google.
Maybe it needs the last version of Google Play services.
I use other methods on my phone without issues, but I try to help you using free methods.
If you have play protect errors use this:
More specified: As I still have Googlefier on my device (ELS-NX9 C432 EMUI 11.0.0.1939), I tried to run the procedure, always "Not certified" after the install of the "original" play store services. I also tried the manual installation guide provided by Senor Gomez with the same effects. Has it do do with version conflicts? Should I try different versions of GSF and GAM? Can you give me a hint, please? Thank you in advance!

Googlefier Huawei Y9A Not Working

I have been trying for a couple of days to install the google services on my Huawei Y9a FRL-L23 10.1.1.157 (C605E4R4P3), but I wasn't able to do so. Actually, I got Gspace working but this is like a workaround because the phone doesn't have the Google services installed.
I tried Googlefier but the LZPlay is not working, apparently, I must downgrade my phone to the previous version but I am not sure about it.
I really appreciate your comments and help.

How to install GMS on Huawei P40 Pro with EMUI 11.0.0.203?

Dear all,
I have Huawei P40 Pro with OS EMUI 11.0.0.203, I also watch and read some tutorials for install Google Mobile Service. All of them need to downgrade to EMUI 10, but I cant downgrade my EMUI to version 10, anyone can help me?
Many thanks for that
Google Mobile Services ( GMS ) is a basket of apps developed and copyrighted by Google including Google Chrome.
They should be install- and runable on any Android version as long as at least 4 other apps / services get installed, namely Google Account Manager, Google Servives Framework, Google Play Services, Google Play Store.
there is so many videos etc, how to make it. Go search and educate.

installing Google play service on EMUI 12

Hi gulls.
I have a huawei P40 Pro. It has recently updated to EMUI 12, and I would like the google service to be installed. However, when I use googlefier for this purpose it installs everything, but when I go to users and accounts/add accounts/google it stays for a little while and then it goes off. I know a method to get these installed without having to downgrade to EMUI 10.0. Any help? Kindest regards.

No.
You could try this, it works on any EMUI, (even 12) but it's kind of annoying to use.

Hi,
I manage to move from EMUI 12 to EMUI 11 with HSUITE.
Trying to get it down to EMUI 10 to install Google. Looking at firm finder, i'm a little confused.
I know my region is C636R4, but there's a few selections. in Firm Finder V2 there's C636E7R5P1 and C636E8R4P1 - see pic below. What's the difference and does it matter?
In firm finder only, https://professorjtj.github.io/ there's so many selections after putting in ELS-N29 and C636.
What's the difference between V2 and without V2? and all the different firm ware numbers for C636R4?
Regards,
Thanks.

Some things are clearing up. Can you confirm if I'm correct for C636R4
Preload PKG can only be this - ELS-N29-PRELOAD 10.1.0.1(C636R4)
Cust Package: ELS-N29-CUST 10.1.0.8(C636) or ELS-N29-CUST 10.1.0.7(C636), so choose latest one?
Base Package: there's a few. Why pick 10.1.0.134?
from v2, it seems to indicate that the combination works for base package 10.1.0.182 and 10.1.0.158
Apologies if i'm bombarding too many questions.

from v2, it seems to indicate that the combination works for base package 10.1.0.182 and 10.1.0.158
Apologies if i'm bombarding too many questions.

works perfect. downgraded to v10. will get gms now.
I installed gms on a p40 Pro on emui 12 using Huagu2. The whole process took about 5 minutes to do and is really easy to follow.
On my personal account not everything is working, no or delayed push notifications and obviously no Gpay but I've managed to get all my other important apps working including 2 banking apps and one required push notifications.
If you are looking to use a workspace account I struggled to get my work account signed in and when I did I got play protect errors after just a few hours
Hope this helps you
@Seamie
Tried the same today on a P40 Pro with latest EMUI 12, but i got 2 Problems:
The step with "activate Google Service Assistant" opens up GSA but it only shows an error in chinese and then goes back unlike in the video.
Ignoring that i continued and That MicroG indeed installs a Google account manage and lets me log in but the account is gone as soon as i uninstall.
THEN Google play shows the login button and nothing happens if i press it.
If i repeat and leave MicroG installed pressing the Play login button lets me login but then complains that the account is already installed on this device.
Clueless, can you help me out?
Ender
After my last post I was talking to someone and I now think the reason I was able to get gms working was because I had Googlefier installed on emui10 before upgrading to 12.
I did have the same issue with my account disappearing when trying to get my work account added. I did resolve it but I can't remember how right now. I'll have a think and update you if I can remember

@badmania98
well the video claims to actually only work for Harmony 2.0, so that is yet another story. Some in the YT comments also talk of succeeding with EMUI 12.x but of course we do not know their history of googlifier...
The phone i got surely never was googlified so i guess i wait if @Seamie got an additional idea and if not i start the downgrade path to 10.1.
Ender
I think it's best to listen to @badmania98 and roll back to 10.1 his guides are very helpful and easy to follow
Okay i did exactly that: rolled back, "googlified" and now back on latest 12.
Got some trouble with play protect, solutions i tried seem only to fix it for a short while but right now its working

Install Lineage on Huawei Y6p

Hello,
I own a Huawei Y6P, but I would like to change the OS to have all the Google features (because there is no Google Services, google play...).
So I thought it would be good to flash lineage, and Gapps to have a clean OS with Google on it.
I would like your opinion if this will work well on Huawei Y6P.
And if not, isn’t it better to just flash Gapps on the android version provided by Huawei? (I think it’s not a good idea but you never know).
Thank you
PS: I can’t find where to download LineageOS (version 17, 18 or 19) for Huawei Y6p, anyone know where to find the ROM?

Sad to hear you found no officia and/or inofficial method to unlock device's bootloader. It's not surprsing me: It's well known that since 2018 Huawei no longer don't provide a bootloader-unlock-code as formerly. So unfortunately, there is no legit way to unlock the smartphone via the developer mode.
FYI:
Huawei offers an app called GSpace: You should download and install this Gspace app on your device which gives you the ability to smoothly access those banned Google services.
