[OP7] Rollback to OOS from PixelExperience A11 - OnePlus 7 Guides, News, & Discussion

Hi everyone. After using PE for over a year I've encountered a lot of issues and want to go back to OOS. I'm not sure how to do it safely as it's Android 11 and all the rollback images are Android 10.
I've found those tutorials:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/rom-stock-fastboot-op7-stock-fastboot-roms-for-oneplus-7.3937478/ - A10 only
https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...l-to-restore-your-device-to-oxygenos.3954325/ - MSM tools A10
https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/oneplus-7-rom-ota-oxygen-os-repo-of-oxygen-os-builds.3937152/ - just upgrade/downgrade files to flash from OOS
So the question is. How do i rollback to stock?
My specs:
Model Version: GLOBAL/INTERNATIONAL
Bootloader: Unlocked
PE version: 11.0-20210702-0252-OFFICIAL
Recovery: PE recovery
For those who are curious about my issues with PE here is the list below:
Some apps stop to open for a few weeks and then go back to normal
Videos on Instagram/Facebook or YT videos viewed in web browser have weird colors and glitches
Everything works fine on native YT app and on other sites
Phone reboots randomly

OnePlus 6 hydrogenos downgrade and migrate to Oxygen ON LINUX

1 - I haven't done any rooting/custom romming in many years, and never on a OnePlus
2 - I DO NOT HAVE WINDOWS
I have seen a few tutorials but they all talk about installing some MSM tool and they all have instructions ONLY for Windows. Is it possible to do the MSM thing from Linux? Is there some other way to get from Hydrogen 9.0.1 to Oxygen 9.0.2 - I thought I would be able to get from HydrogenOS to Oxygen 9.0.2 with the minor release difference but no, I am still getting the "won't downgrade" message . Any pointers? Thanks!

There is a "downgrade" zip, aka OxygenOS 5.1.11 (Or maybe not this exact version, but iirc it's the latest Oreo version) that you can flash to downgrade to Oreo, it doesn't trigger anti-rollback. From this, you can flash any more recent version, including OOS
Just found it, i think :
http://oxygenos.oneplus.net.s3.amaz...all_1808102118_downgrade_68586451f7334c4d.zip
This file can be flashed via the System Updater (Local Upgrade). It will wipe everything though, if i read correctly. I used it once to get from Betas to Stable (The Stable version was older, i couldn't flash it).
You could also follow one of the tutorials on this forum, unlock, flash TWRP, and just install the latest OxygenOS this way

OnePlus7 pro - issue since new beta version

So I updated my op7p to beta 19 and the issues I have are
Front and rear camera not working at at all (black screen not crashing)
teams call not connecting (which is the main deal breaker for me)
youtube keeps loading main page
flash not working
What I tried:
factory reset
switching between EU / Global different android 10 versions including 10.0.10.
Flashing from EDL /TWRP
With or without magisk
Different versions of kernels. (After/ stock)
Downgrading / updating camera and camera service apk.
Flashing hydrogenOS.
Custom ROMs..
Using adb logcat I found that the camera service isn't responding.
Notes:
I don't have warranty..
Device GM1913
The device works without selfie camera in android 9.5.1.
Let's try to debug this, comment your's ideas!
Thanks!
i too have these issues.
Get oxygenos

MIUI Global 12.2.4 and Android 11 Issues

Dear Guys
Kindly, I Had an Automatic Update to Upgrade MIUI to 12.2.4 Stable 12.2.4.0 (RJKMIXM)and Android 11 (RKQ1.200826.002) Last week
after the update, I had many bad issues with my phone
some of them are: (sort by priority)
1- Close and send report Message for any VPN Apps that I have, after 3-5 seconds, and shut it down
I uninstalled them and install them again from Google Play too many times, but it doesn't work for more than 5 seconds, I am living in IRAN, without a VPN we can't do anything!!!
2- no Chat unread messages bubble counter
it's showing on the All Programs Page but it doesn't Show on Desktop Screen
3- Page clutter in displaying icons or doesn't show icons on the first page sometimes
4- Handsfree volume reduction
I also tested with a few handsfree but all of them decreased in the same way
Does anyone have a solution to the above problems?
Or what should be done to ِdowngrade this update?
thank you in advanced
Had this problems too. I choose to downgrade to 12.0.4. I will wait for another update with Android 11, so far Android 10 works well for me

Can you show me a guide for downgrade to Android 10?
I too have had many problems...
First you need to unlock the bootloader.
https://c.mi.com/thread-2262302-1-0.html
After
Miflash
***download the rom(tgz file) https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/archive/miui/lmi/ pick FASTBOOT
download miflash https://xiaomiflashtool.com/
Phone in Fastboot ,select clean all and Flash rom.
****Open the tgz file and extract the "imi global image folder in the same folder as miflash. Rename the folder without space (ex: MIUI124Eu).
@NOSS8 Hi there, i m in the same situation. I have to go back to Android 10. I don t want any custom rom yet. Do you think i can relock the bootloader if i flash official global rom with miflash and check flash and lock option ?!
Actually i want to be just like before the update.
Thanks.

If EEA or Global phone,of course.
(turn off the update).
Install MIUI 12.2.5 update and Poco Launcher 2.20.1.24 to resolve many issues as third party launcher freeze. They are available on Xiaomi web and don't need to unlock phone

Question Weird problem on my OnePlus 9: my screen doesn't respond anymore after updating

XDA, we've had a problem here.
Hello everyone!
I'm throwing a bottle into the sea because I don't feel that other people have had the same problem.
I've been on the latest version of Lineage OS 18.1 until now. Having seen the latest version released (20.0) I tried to update my smartphone but the screen became unresponsive (plus there was no network: I'm in France #andr01dfr3ak).
So I used Scrcpy and I could use the phone "normally". I decided to redo a fresh installation from OOS (I had to downgrade) and install the latest version of Lineage OS 19.1 (and wait for the 20.0 to be stable).
So I used MSM and installed an Indian version of OOS on my phone. My screen was responding again. Wanting to put the latest version of OOS in order to reinstall Lineage OS, I have updated OOS via OTA and I had the same problem as before: the screen does not respond anymore but now without any possibility to activate anything in the developer options.
Thus, in summary: I'm currently stuck with (the last?) OOS because the screen that doesn't respond anymore (but it's on and all the buttons work) and I have no possibility to activate anything in the developer options (so no USB debugging etc.).
What do you think I should do?
When you flashed the wrong firmware and wonder why the display doesn't work. The firmware you flashed thinks your phone is the India 9r version and all updates will only give you india stuff now. You must flash EU version of firmware. Link https://github.com/libxzr/FastbootEnhance

OnePlus 8T Widevine Issues (L3 or L1 with bad system id)

I have an International KB2005 OnePlus 8T. I had it working great on official Evolution X, F15 firmware copied to both slots, rooted with Magisk Delta 6, passing SafetyNet, banking apps, streaming apps EXCEPT for Netflix. I turned on Netflix spoof in The Evolver settings but this only let it install, when I launched it it would just hang forever.
I checked my Widevine info with DRM info. At the time I had L1 but an invalid System ID (very long digit, way longer than 5 numbers but I don't remember.) I'm pretty sure that was the issue based on some conversations I had.
Ok so I want to fix my widevine giving it L1 with a valid system ID. So I do the "nuclear" option and msmtool back to OOS 11.0.7.9. msmtool completes successfully, bootloader is locked but now widevine is L3 with System ID 8159.
I don't have any original backup files from the phone, I also didn't try the older msmtool to the earlier OOS release. What is the correct way to not only get L1 widevine with a valid system ID on OOS, but what's the correct procedure to unlock bootloader, install a ROM and still retain L1?
TL;DR: how to get L1 widevine with valid system id on KB2005?
I was on the same page as you. I tried searching everywhere and didn't find about it anywhere. There isn't any way to fix the system id as of now. However there is a workaround to get netflix working, if thats what you are trying to do.
Step 1: MSMtool back to oos 11.0
Step 2: Unlock bootloader. (it changes the system id to 4 digit number which is L1 secrity)
Step 3: Install netflix and other apps that dont work with broken system ID. Log in your account.
Step 4: Update your rom.
System ID breaks but your apps works fine.

So when going from OOS 11.0 to a custom ROM, are you suggesting to dirty flash and not wipe data (I always thought this was a terrible idea)? Or still do a clean flash of the ROM then re-install those apps and it will work?
It is a terrible for some ROM

I had tried restoring with titanium backup but the results were same, they dont work. So yeah dirty flash is a terrible idea for some rom while some ROM allow dirty flashing. I have only tested on updating ROM from OOS 11 to OOS 13 and its working.

I've never ever ever seen a ROM that doesn't require a wipe when going from stock to the ROM. However once you're on the ROM, you can usually dirty flash updates unless the maintainer specifically says a new build requires a clean flash. Maybe this would work if there was a modified ROM based on OOS.
I appreciate your responses, but OOS 13 is the worst version of Android I've ever tried. I guess my dream of getting the 8T working with an A13 AOSP/LOS based ROM is still dead (with the valid L1 cert, otherwise it works fine).
I'm sticking with Pixels from now on. On every Pixel I've ever messed with (3a XL, 5a 5G RIP mobo, 6a, 7 Pro) I've been able to do anything- unlock the bootloader, try any custom ROM and/or kernel, use a custom recovery, have safetynet passing or failing and the valid L1 widevine cert just persists. Seems like a silly reason to dump OnePlus, but I need that valid L1 cert and I'm not willing to stay on the good, outdated OOS 11 or use the terrible, new OOS 13.
