Hello. This problem started when my phone and watch dint want to connect through Bluetooth I restarted my phone but still wouldn't connect then I tried to power off my watch BIG MISTAKE. Then i entered boot loop watch would turn on normally but when it got to the pin screen if I would enter the pin after about 10 sec the watch would completely freeze then second time I let it sit at the pin screen but still watch would freeze and there was nothing I could do. I tried rebooting it and wiping cache and factory reset and still it would start but when it got to the setup where I need to connect with my phone it would freeze and restart and restart every time and sometime instead of saying galaxy watch4 it would say freshbl I don't know what that means I have never seen it say that or anything else I know my way around electronics PC's watches etc. but this is the first time I had a problem with this. I suspect it has to do something with Knox. And i forgot to say that i couldn't update my watch it would get stuck in copying update and just throws an error maybe it corrupted a system file while copying it.

yes i can charge it no problom.
Update: after shutting it off and leaving it for about an 1 hour it started working normally i can connect to it and everything but its still strange that i cant update my system software and that those thing actually happend idk anymore.
hmm i just did the normal setup procedure and i started using and it just randomly crashed and restarted. and it started to do the thing that was doing earlier when i get into the os 10 sec after it just crashes and restarting over and over

hmm when i go into settings on the watch when i try to enable bluetooh or wifi its just grayed out and it turns off and with wifi it says that its on but it dosent dettect any networks
okey so i just tried powering off the watch and i started doing that thing again idk anymore.

unfortunately no i tried to connect it with a samsung phone but i cant get in to the software no more i factory reseted it many times and cleard cache and still no luck i dont know what to do when i get into the watch it will work for 10 seconds and then it freezes and Bluetooth dosent work so i cant connect it to the phone.

Start with EVA8 and check if WiFi is back...

I had a similar problem. Were you able to fix it? For me, I had to try different versions of the stock ROM. Also I was initially using the wrong region. I was using my country but my phone was imported. To check use Kies, go to firmware upgrade and initialization, input your serial number + model number, click okay a few times and you'll see a popup that tells you what it's going to update. (PDA / CSC / MODEM). Your region code will be in brackets eg (ACR)

I've take my unit to Samsung service center and they fix it :highfive: the tech said that if u root then you flash a stock firmware the board will be damaged

Thanks for the great tip, my phone is back in business again. I also flashed wrong original country firmware since there were 2 and ended up with booting without display(black).
I managed to get blind in downloadmode and re-flashed the good firmware again.
Hi. I recently purchased a second hand Gear S2. I managed to connect it to a Huawei P10, but after turning off the bluetooth by mistake and re-enabling it, the watch asks to do a Factory Reset in order to connect with a device that was already connected with it before . After that, I managed to connect it with my older Glaxy A3 2017 and tried to update the software, but surprise, a pop-up shows saying "Your Gear has been modified. Software Update is not avaible.". Ideas how to fix that? Or this issue is because my Gear S2 (purchased second hand) is a Live Demo Unit?

Since EPK5 it looks like Firmware detect LDU... and disable WiFi for use with netOdin...
And for valid FOTA use... you need "valid" Sales Code/CSC + Firmware Combination... otherwise you can again not update via Samsung FOTA...

When entering the code *#1234#, the watch shows AP : R720XXU2AOIL and CSC : R720OXX2AOIL .
Also seem like the computer can find the AP connection from the watch and also it can connect, and netOdin does detect the watch too.
Try FIRST with older BOKK Firmware:

Be carefully to download the 600 MB package... NOT any .EXE file.
I hope you will find netOdin + Instruction... otherwise ask...

You can check if valid Sales Code/SCS is set... and you have your languages...
Because you have now OXX region Firmware... and I have only OXA BOKK...
If BOKK is on device... check via Phone if you get FOTA Update...
If not... then post result...
So we could try something... to make it "compatible"...

I successfully installed BOKK firmware and I have my language, which is in my case romanian, but in the Samsung Gear App, I still get the same error: Your Gear has been modified. Software updates are not available.

No, I never heard of it so I don't know how it works.
As I can do the Samsung Gear in my rom custom .... to install it but try to run it tells me that the phone has been modified.

{Solved} wifi used to work fine when in tizen 2 and after the last last update wifi connect is not responsive and is impossible to connect. Anyone else has had the same problem after updating to the latest Tizen

Thanks for your reply. is an SM-R760. The whole process seams buggy. It gets stuck while searching for the networks at times, others when you try to type in the password and finally even when I manage somehow to type the password I press done but it never connects

Yes WiFi MAC address is visible. It connected without problems at an unlocked network.
but refuses to connect to wps locked networks
Solution found:
Downgraded down to Tizen 2.3.2.3 and upgraded back to Tizen 3.0.0.1

Hi guys,
So I got my new GW4 yesterday, and I have been trying to get it to update to the latest version but to no avail.
Every time the update will reach 25% and then fail.
Have tried updating with/without phone and after factory reset/ wiping cache as well.
Not sure what to do, but I suspect the issue is caused by the watch shipping with older firmware.
Any help would be appreciated!

Fixed by downgrade Firmware.... from EVA8 to DUK1...
Then FOTA worked from DUK1 to FVD4 to GVH2...
I have few ideas to try...

A) Yep CSC is INU. I dialled *#272*719434266344#, and the option was to change from INU.
B) Yep bootloader is locked. I haven't changed a thing from defaults.
C) Hmm, maybe that is the only option.

If you like adventure you can try to flash EVA8 in first attempt.
This means you downgrade from FVC8 to older EVA8.
Please report result, BEFORE you try then other things...

Thank you for helping me... The problem is that the watch does not work completely. It does a continuous restart with the Samsung logo only and restarts. At first I thought the problem was the battery. I replaced it and still the same problem... Many attempts were made to fix it, but to no avail I wanted to try flashing the ROM, hoping it would work with it.

I was able to kill my SM-R870 with stupid tests... then infinity loop and no chance to enter Download Mode...
