Hey guys so I have been having problems with my moto past couple months just not working right. Long story just a lil shorter come to find out I've been under atack on my home network with constant ddos attacks and arp spoofing. So in my mind maybe if my device is infected with something if I relocked the bootloader it would get rid of what's not supposed to be there and I could start fresh. NOPE not even a little bitas soon as I typed in the flashing lock command this screen popped up no valid operating system. Figures ok no biggie not my first rodeo. I can use moto flash tool or Lenovo assistant. NOPE strike 2 moto flash won't recognize because one, debugging not enabled nor is the oem toggle on in dev options and this will be first device the assistant could not flash either said something about only 1 partition availabled. So my question is how do I get debugging enabled oem toggled all while having no OS or recovery and because of BL being lockedi can't even boot into twrp to put recover. Oh and bootloader screen will load but not recognized by fastboot. All you devs on here are quiet brilliant most of the time I'm sure u guys have a way around these issues any help would be much appreciated
If you can't flash image the stock ROM your on if not you're in the same boat as me my bootloaders lock no OS and I turned off the OEM so I guess it's hard bricked there's no coming back for it unless you have your warranty and you could just swap it

Hey I know this thread is a bit old, but I have a Moto X2131-1 RETUS that boots into fastboot mode with the correct blankflash file, but it shows that the bootloader is still locked. Is there any way to still save this device without having to replace the motherboard?
Much appreciated!

Is it locked or re-locked?
Once these motherboards have been relocked it's very difficult to unlock them again.
You can always try flashing stock that matches the appropriate blankflash that used on it.
then reboot to the OS
set up developers make it unlockable then use the token you got from Motorola to unlock it.

Hi guys I have a OP 7 pro bricked (boot loop), I try everything to un bricked, that is why I ask for any help. I use msm tool and install several zips but when the tool finish it still have the same problem, I can access to the fastboot mode but my bootloader is locked, so I cannot try the fastboot method cause my pc won't recognize when I connect my phone in this mode (I think that's because I need to have enable usb debugging).
I've got bad news, if your bootloader is locked and MSM tool fails you will most likely have to send it in as it will no longer be easily fixable, I unfortunately had this same issue on my OnePlus 8 and learnt the hard way.
You said that you "cannot try the fastboot method" because your PC won't recognize your phone... did you install Oneplus fastboot drivers correctly? You should be able to access your phone in fastboot, even with bootloader locked.
Try with another PC too. Just my 2 cents, sorry if this doesn't help you...

First thank you for your time.
I though that too, but i didn't do it , maybe is because I read that in order to use this method (fastboot), oem unlock and usb debugging have to be enable on my OP 7 PRO
Ps: today I'll try again whit another pc, maybe it works, I think the Qualcomm drivers, adb drivers and OP drivers are a nightmare, who knows how many I've been downloaded those in order to make everything right
Sorry for my English I'm from Costa Rica

Hi MadScientist do you hav the same prob? Didi you solved?. Like I said I think the fastboot method to unbrick doesn't work for me because we need to have oem unlock and usb debugging enable on the OP. I will use another pc to discard
Ps: don't know what you mean with "older firmware"
Since I don't remember what version of firmware I have I try the older 9.5.3 to 10... On oxigen. Even i read that someone resolve his problem installing the Chinese version (hidrogenOs) I don't remember the exact name

I Ended up sending it to OnePlus and the repair was free as it was a software issue.
so, i was following the guide for the bootloader unlocking process and succeeded. rooting process is what bricked my phone, unfortunately.
i loaded the patched magisk image in to boot_a like it said, and hoping that everything would have went well, it did not.
now phone will not boot. recovery modeis broken. adb does not recognize my device, and i have no clue how to get to edl mode from there.
as far as im aware, there is no kdz for the lg v50 sprint variant. (v450) unfortunately.
can anyone help me?
i feel like im SOL
It's not my main phone, but I really like the cameras on it. Was just looking to rid it of lgs software.

It boots into fastboot as soon as it boots up. So there's hope. Adb just doesn't recognize my phone. The thread said it worked, and everyone else who had the sprint v50 said it worked. So I don't know what went wrong
I didn't use the file for the g8.

You just need to find a V50 Sprint device from another user or your friend, then backup all partitions, back them up, then flash to your device.
Note: ignore imei partitions
How would I flash it? Through fastboot and adb? I've already found one.
hello?
You flash them through fastboot by giving the following command:
fasboot [file name i.e abl_a] [file location]
Alternatively if you can go back to EDL/QFIL/9008 mode, you can load through the software

Greetings All,
How does one restore a XT2005-5 back to it's original state?
I've tried flashing a stock ROM, but system update still reports 'System Integrity Compromised'
Since this phone seems to be resistant to modification, I will probably give it away to a needy friend
(I don't think I can return it to where I purchased it at this point).
However, I would like it to at LEAST be able to get security updates.
It seems counter-intuitive to dis-allow security updates for ANY reason. Is Motorola/Lenovo the only one who does this?
Thanx
Richard Rosa

Okay guys so I bought an unlocked Moto G Stylus 5G 2022 a few weeks ago and I decided to unlock it via the instructions on Motorola's website and root it , which I did.
So after having done that, I decided to unroot it, mainly because of losing Widevine level 1 security , but also for other reasons.
After having done that I tried to flash the stock rom via adb fastboot, but it wouldn't do that (error: command failed).
Also tried using the Motorola LMSA repair tool, but no go either, Both ADB Fastboot and the LMSA recognzed my phone but neither would flash the stock rom.
Here are some pictures that may help.
Thanks guys.

First statement in circle doesn't make any sense.
Second statement tells me you've re-locked your bootloader...
Third issue I'm going to take a wild guess at when you unrooted did you restore the original boot image?
I'm going to assume you use magisk in which case it makes a backup fee of the original boot image.
And that might be why your phone is not being recognized.
Last is don't ever post your IMEI online, delete that first image if you can.

Thanks for responding to my question.
Okay so in the first statement I meant to say that I bought an unlocked G Stylus 5G 2022 and decided to unlock the bootloader.
Yes, I did re-lock the bootloader.
Yes when I unrooted I did restore the original boot image from the official stock rom.
Adb fastboot recognizes my device as well as the LMSA but neither will flash the stock rom. I even tried to set the active slot to a and b, to no avail.
Oh and I did delete the pics.
Thanks.

Okay so while in fastboot I could get nothing flashed because I would get a "command failed" error every time.
Tried to do the blankflash file but it stayed stuck on "waiting for device".
Idk what else to do.
There is someone on xda that posted they had a similar issue with their phone and they had someone fix it remotely. I think they are talking about a guy who did a YouTube video showing how he fixed someone's hard bricked device. I contacted that individual on WhatsApp and they said I need to fix the bootloader. I asked them what do I need to do and they didn't respond back. Idk.

ok,
problem is 2 fold
3 states on this phone are
securestate: oem_locked
securestate: flashing_unlocked
securestate: flashing_locked
you are the last one, that flips the "OEM unlocking" to turm off.
and you system is corrupt (not booting ).
blankflash basically reformat the phone and returns "securestate: flashing_unlocked"
your current OS is MILANF_RETUS_12_S1SDS32.56-81-4
the newest blankflash out for your phone is milanf_retus_S1SD32.56-6
this is considered a downgrade and the phone wont allow it.
still hope!!
a blankflash cam be made from the image of XT2215-4_MILANF_RETUS_12_S1SDS32.56-81-4
but i dont have the rig to do it but "ZAZ" @ https://t.me/motoblankflash can.
last i checke he can generate one in 20-30 min and DID NOT charge for his help.
I hope this explained you problem, good luck.

Okay thanks. I'll try to contact him.
I appreciate all your help.
you guys knows what that means. I can't get it to do anything. Can't use any of the tools. Flash permission denied on everything. Even the Motorola rescue assistant tool doesn't support the device. Does anyone have any recommendations? All I can boot to is a locked Bootloader mode
Can you unlock the bootloader again?

Nope. OEM unlock is not turned on in settings. neither is USB debugging.
So you're saying you locked the bootloader on custom firmware, and while Android still runs, you can't unlock it again?
This is why you should NEVER lock the bootloader on custom firmware.

What possessed your faculties to make you lock your bootloader after the hassle it can be to get them to let you unlock in the first place?

Exactly what I'm saying. I was drinking. got angry at certain bugs it had after rooting and well here we are. I can't even find any info on test points for edl on this model. It's just a $40 phone but it's the ONLY phone I have.

Sorry to hear that. If you're unable to unlock the bootloader with fastboot commands, I don't think there's anything you can do. I assume you don't have root?
you try and EDL cable yet? if you don't have one you can make one by stripping back a bit of insulation and shorting the black and green together with the device off, then at the same time click all three buttons 3-4 times until you see the 9008 port show up in device monitor (WINDOWS)
if that fails and you're feeling brave (or you have really good anti-virus software) you could always give something like this a shot
