Need help with my mtk6589 device

Hey all, I was updating the system apps of my mtk6589 device (infinix X451 - RBoltQ, android 4.2.1) device ie calender, email , deskclock, launcher etc to that of the android 4.4Kkat . Thay all worked perfectly it felt cool. I then updated my camera to that android 4.2.2 (all done with root explorer and link2SD ). Later on I came across the google camera. It always FC so I thought maybe making it a system app (using Link2SD) & deleting my other camera apps will resolve the issue. This didn't work . I even changed some lib files like I saw on a blog (libjn...mosaic,liblightcycle, lib..google.. - backed them all manually 1st though) still no avail. Now I restored the normal camera and the lib files, with their required permissions (root explorer) but ALL CAMERA apps installed FC ..even with a hard reset, the camera icon is NO LONGER there , only the gallery (for the stock camera). Apps like Antutu BM and Dx toolbox can't detect the camera (front and rear) or say Not supported. Same with apps that use Cam or flash or both. Flashlight too is no longer available while I noticed that the Glauncher now FC when I want to change wallpaper and the STOCK RECOVERY now shows an android with a red exclamaition mark. Gone 3 weeks without the camera, FL and now going through blogs and forums & I just don't know what to do.. Please any help will be appreciated as I don't want to loose my mtk device or its camera - even as my joy of getting my first android smartphone last year (dec 29) is turning into a nightmare. Thanks in advance.

Did you make backup before? I don't think so. Try to flash stock recovery and then install stock ROM (or custom ROM).

Video Recording Failure After Few Minutes After Boot

Those are the biggest recent changes I've made to my OPO . But recently, the camera will fail for video recording only for all apps (Snapchat, Camera, Instagram, Whatsapp etc.)
I've rebooted a numerous times and always the same result, it'll work after boot (repeatedly) but then fail to work a few minutes after.
I've uninstalled all the Xposed Modules thinking one of them could be the issue
Ran a boot manager to run only the essentials, but still the same issue
I can still take photos but it's just the video recording
Any suggestions from anyone?

Just try to use another camera app from one plus themes and apps thred
They will work definitely
Or just try to reinstall / flash color os camera app again

at first - thx a lot, nice, works fine and smoothly... and antutu: 45.737 )))
but:
- 4g signal is much weaker than with the others (stock, cm 12.1 and the lineage 12.1 rom)
- often overheats
- and subtratum maybe buggy (some connection with overheating?)
- how can i change quicktiles?
- i really miss the ability of stock camera with 3d/multiangle (.mpo) photo making - is it possible to port it somehow?

- for me no overheats
- you can install camera app from stock rom ( backup and install with Titanium)
For pamigianleo:
V1.1 include init.d enabler (no need to disable hw overlays in Developer options)

so i restored stock rom, it recognized the sim easily, 4g looks fine.
camera: i tried the backup from stock (eg with Titanium, too) - but it didnt work. is it possible somehow track which parts are related to camera.apk (eg. libs)?
overheat: after using substratum, there were more overheat
v1.1: "no need to disable hw overlays in Dev" - ohmm...before enable any substratum overlay/anythng, should i disable that...? im new with substratum... i just need black/dark theme instead of white

V1.1 automatically disable hw overlays in Developer options. There is a script in init.d which do the job and it must be disable to avoid video bugs ( no connection with substratum)
For your SIM if only cellular data no works try to correct APN ( look at APN in stock rom).
For overheats after using substratum, you can try to change Govenor Interactive to Govenor OnDemand or Conservative (with Setcpu)

camera: i noticed that there is no separate camera.apk - i thing the gallery2 or gallery3d.apk contains it. so i used titanium backup on the gallery, and just didnt work, crashed. i mentioned some differences: in stock the gallery in a different path than in CM/linage. + there were some other subdirectories around the apk (libs).
- can you (or anyone) help me, how can i port the stock camera to eg. CM/lineage? for example what do i have top copy from the stock?

i flashed meantime lineageos 12.1 (i like to use my phone), and there is no problem with 4g (with your version the 4g signal strength was weak at least with 10-15%) or with the sim.

For the 4g signal there is a display bug at the signal bars but the signal is good. You can verify this with *#*#4636#*#* in dialer

i installed version 1.1. All is working fine.
Sometimes if the battery is to low the phone is going suddenly off.
But its the fourth time that after suddenly off the system is not starting and my actual phone data are lost. (a Bootloop)
This problem happened not every time.
If you have a solution to avoid the bootlop its ok, but if not i will install the stock rom. With the stock rom i never had this problem.

Restore Camera registers after used GCam quality enhancer module

Hello !
I wanted to test GCAM port posted in celsoazevedo and endup installing AUX unlocker module + GCam quality enhancer module but this last one kills 100 global registers added by OnePlus, as I didn't like GCAM (too much noise especially in night mode) and prefered OnePlus defaut camera settings now I can't use it properly (low res taken photos even with 48mp mentionned). Is it possible to restore these registers please? I tried update my OnePlus camera (I'm under Havoc OS) from apkmirror but no version work (blackscreen or either app crashes..), tried also to update OnePlus camera services but cannot be installed.

fixed by flashing same Havoc ROM installed as @Nebrassy shows in a thread* for the update section (thanks for the procedure) but i didn't have to install gapps but flashing TWRP and Magisk

This rom is based on stock OneUI for Galaxy S20 FE. It is based on November patch but I assuring monthly updates whenever next month's security patch is released.
Visually its no different from the stock rom as I have not changed any thing drastic to maintain stability. Purpose for building this is that it is TWRP Flashable and it can be used to flash stock rom over a GSI without needing to flash everything from ODIN.

To install CleanOS 4, you need to be in Stock Android 12. Maybe tou can try to flash stock OneUi 4 with home_csc directly from CleanOS 2.5.5 and then install TWRP again and install CleanOS 4. I don't recommend, probably bugs will appear or even don't boot.

TWRP would be replaced and encryption would come back. flashing TWRP and vbmeta would mean a wipe and flashing multidisabler would mean a format.

In Android 11 I managed to do this steps and not format data, but as I said, a fresh instalation is preferred

camera app got an improvement? for example: telephoto in pro mode, the ability to switch cameras in fhd60fps (telephoto can record video in fhd60fps). Will there be eSIM support. Also, I personally wanted to have the ath11k driver in the kernel instead of qcacld-3.0, but ath11k needs a 5.10 kernel, can you think of something? I will be very grateful if at least one feature is added

the guy who builds kernels for the FE said there's no chance of getting that new of a kernel as it's way too much work to port it over.

Also, there was recently a law passed in Russia that forced manufacturers to install a bunch of useless Russian apps (and a few useful ones). I was able to simply uninstall them in cleanos4 (which I could not do in stock, since they kept getting reinstalled). But maybe there is way to bypass this entirely?

Zygisk is a function present in Magisk Canary, it's like the "new" Magisk hide. As you install Magisk Canary, go to settings and enable it, simple and straightfoward. I recommend you install the Universal Safetynet fix module too, the latest version is compatible with Zygisk.
What is the apps? The Yandex ones? I've deleted all of them directly from the folders in system. They never come back.

The Yandex apps stayed for sure (they are installed with Andoid setup). But also (from memory, there are 17 in total):
- Marusya - Mail.ru (voice assistant)
- ICQ new - Mail.ru (text chat)
- Mail.ru -Mail.ru (mail client)
- Gosuslugi
- Apps (app recommendations for more russian bloatware)
- Kaspersky internet security and VPN
- some others, i forget
