Here's my question. Since the 9A and 10A both have equivalent hardware and even the same codename "Dandelion", is it possible for recoveries, ROMs and kernels developed for the 9A to work seamlessly on the 10A or are their underlying compatibility issues? Thanks.
They can be flashed and may be run successfully but compatibility issues and other serious bugs will also there which can brick your device so flash the correct file at your own risk
Hi, apparently the Redmi 10A is DANDELION_C3L2 so it's different for the ROMs built for DANDELION. I have a Redmi 10A too and it's getting difficult to find a ROM for it.

Hey, Which Xiaomi phone Rs10000 ($150) is currently best for rooting and custom roms? I'm talking ease for unlocking the bootloader, rooting and availability of custom roms. Or perhaps it's not Xiaomi phones that are most hackable at the moment?
IMHO and experience, avoid the Redmi Note 9 S/Pro/etc (aka Curtana/Joyeuse/Excalibur/etc).
No LineageOS official support, and the unofficial ones come and go every few months and all have bugs.
The Redmi Note 7 aka lavender, OTOH, has pretty decent hardware and has official LineageOS. Rooting is working great with Magisk, haven't tried other ROMs but I think they would work pretty well too.
I have a Redmi 9AT, and would like to install a custom ROM. I have checked several comparison sites (e.g. https://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=10279&idPhone2=10591) and can see no significant difference between it and the Redmi 9A. (That is, they use the same chipset, CPU and GPU.) Can anyone please advise whether custom ROMs for the Redmi 9A will or should be compatible with the redmi 9AT?
It should work, as you can see, a lot of official roms says Redmi 9A / 9AT
Yes.
They are almost same.
Hi all,
Aliexpress sells Redmi Note 11E Pro's unlocked with the global ROM. This apparently removes the NFC ability for the phone.
A question for any users that have bought this phone:
1.Were you able to change to a custom ROM (eg. Arrow OS) and get NFC to work?
2. How did you do this? Did you have to install the China ROM first and then install the Arrow OS Custom ROM?
Having read many of the questions about bricked drives, it's just got me worried.
I'm coming from a Redmi Note 4X - I know but it is such a trooper that only after 5 years it it starting to get sluggish for me so just trying to get a handle on whether anything has changed from when I last flashed a new phone.
Thank you for any and all input to the above.
1. sure
2. No need to install CN ROM. Proceed with the installation of the ROM you want right away.
You can just use the xiaomi.eu ROM and make sure you download the VEUX rom and not the VEUXG as that is only for global devices but if you want something other than MIUI you can do it right away
Pixel experience on 11e pro 5g not working NFC, how working?
I wonder after many exploration that why there is not a single custom kernel available for our Redmi 9A (Dandelion) even there is itʼs latest stock kernelʼs source is also unavailabe
i donʼt know why
im also searching bcz its so laggy
Title, basically. Redmi 9i receives little to no custom roms, but some stuff mentions both devices together. Would Havoc-OS for 9A, for example, run on a 9i?
