Partition and Swap

I've been searching for the guide to partition using recovery and setup swap. Are there any guide to do that?
Thanks,
you dont really need a guide for that. all you need to do is boot into your custom recovery, select partition sdcard, and your phone will tell you to change the partition and swap size to what you want. (but dont forget that partitioning your sdcard will format it)

(SOLVED) [Q] [HELP] Motorola NOOB! Mount point information for XT925?

Hi there, I seem to have messed up my mounting partitions while trying to deodex Stock JB Central Europe. I basically used xultimate to pull the files and deodex then tried using adb shell to mount the system partition and copy them over. After I rebooted the phone, it would get stuck on unlocked bootloader warning or on the motorola logo. I hard reset into recovery and restored a nandroid backup and once booted into android found so many folders under the Storage folder such as "asec", "obb", rfs0" and so on. Now, when I try to wipe dalvik-cache in recovery, i get the following error: "E: unknown volume for path [/sd-ext]". Also, when i try flashing custom rom's and reboot, it gets stuck on the unlocked bootloader warning and wont load - while in recovery after flashing, i also get another error something like this: "E: cant load /cache/recovery.log" or similar. I also sometimes have issues mounting system, cache partitions, data and internal storage, all depending on which custom recovery i am using. I read on another site that downgrading to ics might solve mounting problems so I forced a downgrade to ics but that didnt work either and am still on ics.
Is there a way to restore the partitions correctly or are they stuck this way? Would mounting and remounting solve this problem? Any help would be much appreciated and would very much appreciate it if someone could upload their mount point info so i could use to try and fix it.
Many thanks in advance.
EDIT: Managed to flash Slim Bean 4.3 Official using OUDHS recovery without wiping cache and dalvik-cache at first. After reboot, it would bootloop so went to recovery and wiped cache and dalvik-cache then it worked. Still no sd-ext and some apps can't write or backup to external memory such as Go Backup & Restore Pro so what remains is to mount/unmount the partitions correctly.

You can try to use the guide as you like, but i remember you that you must have philz recovery: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2684895
thanks, i will give it a try
Flash old CWRM, connect via ADB, and use "parted". That old parted version bundled doesn't know ext4/f2fs yet, so you have to delete and recreate the partitions instead.
Afterwards fash back to TWRP, and recreate the file systems on the resized partitions. fdisk on TWRP can't manipulate the partition table on Samsung devices.
Keep in mind that you can't change the number of order of partitions, only their sizes. Minimum size for partitions you don't want (e.g. /preload, #20 HIDDEN) is ~4MB, with less you won't be able to create a file system on them, and ROMs attempting to mount the partition will encounter an error.

Is it safe to try to resize system partition using TWRP?

A few days ago i found that TWRP has an option to resize partition. It´s there from v2.8.7 so I think it isn´t new
I wonder if it could be used to get some MB for data partition. In that case What´s the procedure to do it without bricking my phone?
I found this http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software-hacking/tool-lanchon-repit-data-sparing-t3358036 but I didn't test it.
TWRP can't resize partitions. It can only resize file systems to fill their partition.

[QUESTION] How to mount /system partition in TWRP or OrangeFox ?

I recently started flashing my Poco X3 with a new rom and some mods, but I quickly realized that when I was flashing my G-Apps package that my /system partition didn't have the free space required to install this package.
I did a bit of research and found out that with TWRP or OrangeFox recovery you could increase the partition size by going into: Wipe > Selecting the partition you want > Fix Partition.
So the next logic step was to try and replicate the same thing on my own phone, but when I went on my custom recovery, I saw that my /system partition wasn't appearing, so I tried to manually mount it by going into the mount option but that did not work, also tried in the terminal by typing "mount /system" but that did nothing saying that "partition /system is not in fstab".
So now I'm completely stuck because to change my ROM I need to wipe the /system partiton which apparently doesn't exist and both recoveries do not work.
PS: I tried this method on all of the recoveries present on the Forum.
I'm asking you guys if you have any idea how to fix this issue or if I have to wait until someone releases a new recovery that is actually fixed ? Thank you.
AFAIK you can't and you shouldn't mess with system partition in any "old standard" way in Poco X3 NFC ... for now it will can make more damage than benefits... you should flash gapps with minimal size that can be safely flashed and install the rest from Play... you want to know more? learn about dynamic partitions used in our phone, I just know that recoveries are patched so people can't brick their phones anymore...
