Hi everyone,
Yesterday I start an Android System update on my Lg Velvet LM-G900EM while it was connected to the pc in transfer file mode: it shutted down like it normally does but it didn't turn up. The screen is full black and I've tried different button presses on the phone but nothing seems to waking it up. When I reconnect the phone my Pc it is seen as "Quectel QDLoader 9008 (COM6)" which I've read is correct in this cases. I've tried adb but is not shown on the list of "adb devices" and I can't do much if it's not shown there. I've tried connecting it to the pc with different button pressed but it's not recognised as it should be. On the LGUP software is not recognised either. If anybody can help me I will be very grateful. Thanks a lot guys.
I have a similar problem. After a reboot, the phone would not boot up again and it showed up on the PC as QUSB_BULK_CID:0402_SN:xxxxxxx.
Helped, press power button and at the same time connect the USB cable to the PC. After 3 or 4 attempts it booted up again. Maybe it helps you too.
Try to Hard Reset Then May be boot up.

for pc driver installation. It is rather fiddly, so proceed slowly and read all details carefully. Once it is correct, however, you can use LG Flash Tool, Fastboot, ADB, or whatever for this device.

did all its says from the top still i cant find the LG port and my device manager keeps on refreshing and the OMAP device also keeps on appearing and disappearing.
Btw i did went(last year ago) to LG costumer service and after a week they said that the main board is the problem, and it cost more likely 40-50% of the original price of my phone Up until now im still hoping for my phone to be fixed.
I would try again; there are a lot of little details there that are easy to miss the first 5 or so times trying to do it. Rebooting pc between each step, for instance. You must be logged onto pc as administrator also. It took me some time before I was able to install the drivers correctly and that was before I wrote it all down in detail.
If it really is the board (I picture a scenario where they want to sell you a new phone) then none of this will help. However, the omap4430 blinking on and off tells me it is trying to connect, but is not installed correctly.
Take your time with each part and carefully check every detail.
omapboot and sw are two different modes.
the "LG port device" appears only in sw mode
omapboot:
you need omap for flashing the custom bootloader
enter the mode: remove the battery and plug your phone to usb while holding vol +, for me its working also when i just plug the phone without battery. if the device is appearing to fast in the devicemanager plug the battery into the phone, and the device should stay and you can install the driver,
sw mode:
is needed when flashing wit lg flashtool or smartflash etc for flashing stock roms or simliar.
you can enter that mode:
plug your phone to usb while holding vol+ with battery insert, and keep holding until the phone screen shows sw and some korean letters.
now you can set the port to 41 in the device manager

Tried different cables btw im using win8 and i also tried fresh start on other laptop's of my friends. It's very frustrating
anyone had some success here? I have as well OMAP device on-off, I can go to SW Upgrade mode (no Korean letters though) and to stock recovery.... Tried LGFLashTool2014 (but it crashes on "Read Phone information) and "Flashtool"-Tool, which can enable fastboot and flash uboot, etc. But to no success...
"My Nexus phone runs on Android 5.0.1 and after this updtae the camera started to fail today the same happened after a quick reboot the camera runs as always. Today I had the same problem I pressed the power button and taped on "Turn off" the device turned off. Everything is OK now but then after I pressed the power button to turn on NOTHING happened nothing appeared on the screen, no vibration, no sound, NOTHING. I followed the steps on Google's video for this issue but it doesn't work. I tried "volume up+power, volume down+power, volume up+volume down+power" again nothing.
Then I plugged in the phone on the PC and again pressed the power button a sound came from the PC (like I plugged in a Flash Drive) and the Pc said driver installing failed. I switched to the other USB port again the sound appeared and the driver installing icon appeared (There is nothing on the phone screen) the driver to be installed is *QHSUSB_BULK* I have no idea what it is but I need my phone working.
Sorry for my misspellings and for my gramar mistakes but my native language is not english. If you could answer me with a easy english I would be glad."
This was my thread at The Google Support forums two months ago. I gave up after nothing worked. Yesterday I started my driverscanner program to install a driver after the scan there was a driver named "QHSUSB_BULK - Port_#0006.Hub_#0005" I installed the driver. Today I connected my phone to my PC. And windows update appeared with "Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader" driver. It got installed then I did reasearch about it on the internet and I discovered that my phone got hard bricked. But Unfortunately a blackout happened in our appartment. After the blackout my PC couldn't recognize my phone and always says Unknown device I tried it on another PC but the same please help me what sould I do?
Sorry for my long thread.
@kmlakts read this http://forum.xda-developers.com/goo...-unbrick-nexus-5-stucked-qualcomm-hs-t3043301 and dont do anything with boarddiag yet. Try to make the drivers work. You may have to restart the phone by pressing power key or by pressing volume_up + volume_down + power keys for like 20 seconds (maybe more maybe less) to reset the qdloader mode.
If you managed to install the drivers and you see Qualcomm HS-USB QDloader 9008 (COMXX) then you can go ahead to the boarddiag part, but in your case please instead of selecting RESTORE BOOT IMG select EMMC TEST and SDRAM TEST. SDRAM TEST will take about 5 minutes and during this time your phone will not be detected by your PC. If it fails at emmc or sdram test then you have to buy a new motherboard, unless you can change the msm8974 chip and/or the emmc chip, depending on which test gives you a fail, from another nexus 5 which is very hard, not to mention you have to get your efs and misc partitions from the dead emmc (if it is dead).
If it passes all the way your phone should boot up. If passes and the phone still showes black screen and boots to qdloader 9008 mode then better to buy a new motherboard.
Hi everyone, i ask for your help cause i have a common problem but the fixes i found in the forum didn't work for me: my ZenFone 5 stucks at "Asus" logo with a loading loop wheel below that.
I know this post may be long... but i beg you to read all steps:
1) Phone stucks at logo, but could enter recovery (pressing vol + down), i've updated it via external SD card (official firmware but didn't work) then i've wiped data and did a factory reset. Phone still stucks at logo.
2) Now i can't even enter recovery mode... when pressing vol + down it shows 2 options but whatever i choose the phone reboots. If i press vol + up it says "CSC mode, long press power to restart. Phone still stucks.
3) Now (after some time) the phone's screen doesn't show anything, nor charging icon or notification led when recharging, but strangely the computer recognizes it as a device when connected via USB cable, and the led turns on when i do this.
A friend told me to follow a guide that says to install "Intel Soc USB driver", i did that. After installing, when connecting the device, 2 things should pop up in Device Manager, under "Intel Soc": "Cloverview Plus Device" and "Intel Soc USB Driver" but they don't show to me
I've also tried Asus flashtool guide... at step 4 it says to click in the box icon and choose the firmware RAW file, so i've downloaded a raw firmware for the ZenFone 5, but oddly it doesn't let me choose any raw file.
Note: the phone is recognized by the pc as "QHSUSB_BULK", so i've tried to update its driver with qualcomm drivers, and now it's recognized as "Qualcom MMC Usb storage device". But i think i've did a wrong thing cause my friend told me i should have choosed some kind of official driver
Thanks in advance for your help
Hi,
I'm having troubles after following the guide here - https://wiki.lineageos.org/devices/guacamole/install
I initially had stock Android 11 with latest update. I've followed the instructions, all went well until I rebooted to system. It just tries to boot for a few minutes, then it restarts and does this again. Doesn't seem to boot.
Is there a way to fix this?
Also, would be possible to get back to stock rom and how?
Thank you in advance!
Managed to fix, in the end. Was a real headache.
If anyone is having similar problem and they have to unbrick their phone, I suggest this thread - https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...l-to-restore-your-device-to-oxygenos.3954325/
Follow the steps in that thread. To enter EDL mode, you will have to turn off your device, hold Volume UP and Volume down (without power button) and while holding insert the USB cable into the phone and into your PC. By doing so, it will be detected by the computer and will show up in Device Manager.
The most annoying issue I had was the phone was connecting for a few seconds, then disconnect. What worked for me after many many tries was using a newer image, mine being an international device I used 10.3.8. I opened MSM from the 10.3.8 package and Device Manager, connected the cable to the computer, but not to the phone, I've pressed volume up and down, connected the cable to the phone while holding volume buttons and as soon as Qualcom driver showed up in Ports (COM & LPT), I hit start on MSM.
If it still gives you the error "Sahara Communication Failed. Please try again after power off phone" try with a different package version, for me this one worked, but before that I've tried with a different one and I was getting this error.
Hope it will help someone, at some point. I know how frustrating it is and if I helped you be less frustrated than I was, that's a win.
Hi!
I have tried to install a custom rom, but there was an error. When I tried to boot back to bootloader mode, the qualcomm logo started blinking and the device is vibrating.
Tried to connect to pc, but I don't see any device in COM Ports in the device manager, also MSM tools says waiting for the device.
If I connect the cable while I am pressing the both volume button, I hear the sound from the pc that something is connected, but after a few seconds the device disconnects.
Can you help me?
Got the same problem installing a wrong firmware, probably. I'm hoping for someone knowing how to solve...
That was easy. Unfortunately I had to format the phone entirely (MSMTool), but it's back with the living.
Install Qualcomm EDL drivers
Download an MSMTool release for OnePlus 8T
Enter in EDL Mode. With the phone connected to a computer running Windows, press volUp + volDown right when you see the Snapdragon logo. The phone will stay with screen off
Follow the usual flashing procedure with MSMTool
Thanks, I just had to install the Qualcomm drivers exe file. After that it appeared in device manager.
