The update of zui 14 is already available for the xiaoxin pad pro 2021. You must use a chinesse vpn in order to obtain it

After updating the videogame is stuttering and lagging. ZUI 13 was way better.
ZUI 13 had a GPU in-game panel. This panel is now gone. ZUI 14 is a terrible update. I call it a downgrade.

I also regretted updating to ZUI14. Not because of the stuttering but because some apps (Lenovo Legion app) will only work if you have Lenovo China Account. You can only register to Lenovo China only if you have a working China mobile number. You cannot register using any international number.
Another thing is that some parts are of the UI are in Chinese and can't be disabled (example, swiping up from homescreen will bring up the universal search which is in Chinese!)
Also... the PC MODE is now GONE!

I have to order a new Legion because of this update. 450 dollar gone thanks to ZUI 14.
The email reactions of this company are pretty terrible. Very short reaction saying thank you for you feedback. There is no new update at this moment. Such robot reactions.
Seemingly they don't care they made a program totally unsuited for the Legion Y700.
Lenovo Hong Kong advises to downgrade. At least they give an advise.

Did Lenovo fix the 4:3 aspect ratio for video-out, so it is in the more common 16:9 ratio and what most monitors are nowadays, as Lenovo P11pro2021 had one of the highest video out-resolutions I remembered on a tablet, with 4K in either 30 or 60hz.. cant remember if it was 30hz or 60hz vid-out but it was higher than both Samsungs & Huawei flagshipwith videout and their desktop feature, atleast when I checked it in 2021, but sadly Lenovo/Xiaoxin P11Pro2021 had it in a 4:3'ish ratio.

- With the default setup/launcher, is there really no way to customize the toggles in the notification area?
- Is it possible to use gestures instead of the bottom row 3 buttons? Haven't found the related settings anywhere yet.
I bought this tablet recently. It is a great value for the money!
Great screen, vanilla Android 8.1.0, no bloatware, 32gb storage.
My only complaint is that I'm completely unable to format SD card as internal (it has the option) or move apps to SD (there is no option). It's really weird and I'd like to figure this out!
I love it so far. Using it mounted in car for Waze navigation and Amazon music with everything automated through Automate Android app.
I agree, it's a great value for money, and unlike some (?) Xiaomi devices (which are actually great as well), it comes without bloatware and the kill-me-now privacy policy (and I can pretty much disable all apps I don't need, which was impossible on my last Xiaomi "trip").
And their support is even more responsive than that of my bank.
Other than that, I miss gestures (the bottom 3-button row on the screen is the only way to go), and I installed Nova launcher because I didn't really like the default one.
One more thing... the recovery mode is in Chinese - can someone post a translation of the first level menu?

It's not a bad tablet. Build-quality is pretty good and for the money, it is a good value. My only problem with it is that it doesn't recognize any of the Micro SD cards I put in (cards are fine as I tested them in other devices).
Came across some weirdness in one of the two system updates sections - namely, every now and then, the checking for updates fails, and the status line says

Sometimes it gets resolved correctly in the same session. My guess is they (Chuwi?) have issues with DNS or are attacked occasionally.... I mean, why in the world would the update URL end in xxx.com (the 0.0.0.0 IP is probably one of my blockades, on the other hand).

CHUWI Hi8 SE performance
The performance is very poor. The interface is not moving smooth at all. It cannot play 60FPS (neither 1080p nor 720p) clips in YouTube app. Chrome frequently freezes in use for 1 or 2 seconds.
Touch screen is very very poor. Is not calibrated and very insensitive.
Disappointed!

i already have an update prompt since march, i never did it so its still showing. i have a friend with a CN black shark that haven't rooted, i'm waiting untill he gets the update prompt and then i'll reflash the stock images and update.

Have you got your Magic UI 2.1 update?
UK user here, I manually updated my PCT-L29 C432 to 9.1.0.229 via HSTool and so far my experience with Magic UI 2.1 has been really good. Here are a few notes:
- UI responsiveness is improved, animations are smoother with no more stuttering observed.
- App loading speeds seem faster, everything is almost instant. Although the phone was already fast to begin with, now it feels like I never have to wait for anything when launching apps.
- Swipe gestures feel more accurate, I don't need to reattempt any gestures like opening the app switcher or side-swiping to go back.
- Mis-touches are reduced, in the past if I wiped my screen with a cloth it would pick it up as a touch gesture. This now happens less often.
- Desktop Mode connection is much more stable. Previously even if I connected my phone using an HDMI cable it would frequently flicker and the signal would eventually cut out. This seems to have been fixed.
- Folders now display 3 X 4 icons instead of 3 X 3, which makes apps much more accessible.
- No incompatibilities observed with previous apps (yet).
- Battery life is slightly improved.
And a few other things to be aware of:
- App suggestions are now permanently displayed at the top of the App Drawer, and the option to hide them is no longer available.
- The standalone Flashlight app is gone (it was redundant anyway).
- Breaks compatibility with some previous third-party themes, in particular "Dark Mode" themes.
- I haven't received the AR Measurement app, although it was supposed to be included in 2.1? ?
App suggestions that cannot be removed: very very very annoying.
On the other hand, I use the "standard" home screen style without a drawer so I don't care.
Also, I'm not seeing the option for "Dual-View Video" anywhere.

Nope still no update for the v20 Indian Users. If you check the honor club app it says that we should be receiving it on the 24th of July. But to be honest it will be by the end of July or probably first week of August. Coming from oneplus phones I am really dissappointed with Honor for such slow updates.

Got mine today. Very nice. So far noticed improved performance. Not that it was slow in any way, to begin with! Seems quicker with the animations. And the navigation gestures also seem smoother. I like it.

no, I think it's minimum requierment to install BETA software.
It would be interesting to check if on the P20 pro also the new high-res mode will be available in the camera app.
It uses a process similar to gcam taking multiple frames of the same photo and overlays them to maximise detail

Its important that its selected as default for mobile data and in the first sim card slot and you should be able to join the beta project. You can still join, since the end of the coutdown (monday 18.04) at least 15 people joined the tests after "the end" so I think you can still join until its full and there are actually 127 persons of 100.000.

I saw in other forums that people reported that with emui 10 the phone changes the way it focuses.
For instance, comparing pictures of the same objects taken with older emui and the latest, they show that with older emui the entire picture is in focus.
On the other hand on emui 10 it was shown that several areas in the "same" picture are out of focus.
I also noticed something similar and thus reverted to emui 8.

Ok thanks, I tried it with Austria A1. I will check if it is working.
UPDATE: Huawei's german support said me that "rollout" is planned to the end of this month so I think I should get the update to the end of this week. To quote support: "According to the latest information, the beta test for the devices in Germany should start at the end of this month." So far there are 149 beta testers.

People that used that OTA update chain on their P11pro 2021, how far were you able to OTA update to by the original OTA channels?

did you manage to update to zui 14? mine is on ZUI 13.1.560
Precarious, if you have been able to update all the way to ZUI 13.1.560 by OTA alone..
To the users who been OTA-updating with officials' channels from org CN/ENG ROM to fx ZUI 13..
Did you encounter any problems underway.. Fx your L1 cert (fx for Netflix 1080p stream). Were gone? Or other noticeable things?
The same question for users, who did the manual route to ZUI14.? (pro/cons?)
Were there any benefits with these OTA upgrades that are worth mentioning??
Fx the arrival of (16/9) aspect ratio on Video-Out as it seems to be a weird (4/3) video-out on the org. 12.5.126 ST FW it arrives with.
Also got mine from Giztop, but right now the OTA channel seems gone!
While previously it kept pushing me to upgrade, but now there are no updates what so ever...
One can hope Lenovo's OTA server is just down for a few days, but still, that would be quite weird if that's the case

I also got mine from GizTop but I'm curious why yours is showing 6GB ram? I thought the Snapdragon 870 model was only offered with 8 gigs?

Is it all Lenovo's OTA channels for Xiaoxin-models (Chinese models) that now have been locked out for OTA upgrades.??
any free VPN with Chinese servers to check if that opens up for OTA upgrades again and if its perhaps locked out for western buyers..?

It sadly does look like Lenovo has removed all OTA upgrades for western users, and it doesn't matter if you are on the very early ZUI 12.5.126 ST that it comes with from scratch..
Tried to check from some VPN apps.. but the few I tested didn't have China as a VPN location, only Singapore, and here it also said no OTA updates were available.
That would be wild if Lenovo out of the blue just disables their OTA servers.

Perhaps that is why all ZUI12xxxx and ZUI13xxxx OTA updates have been removed and it literally says "no updates" whatsoever, for people that are on the base OS aka. ZUI 12.5.126 ST - which is the ZUI-version that P11pro2021 [TB-J716F] comes with from scratch..
And it's down to the fact that Lenovo perhaps is working on implementing ZUi14 on the OTA channel..
and the OTA update feature in a given time, will take you from ZUI 12.5.126 ST directly to a ZUI 14 variant.??

The Xiaoxin series is meant to be only sold in China. So I guess Lenovo is trying to discourage the sale outside of China, by no longer providing updates. Same with kernel source, not available for this tablet from Lenovo as far as I aware.
WRT to VPN: you'll never find one VPN access point inside China as the government there is actively discouraging use of VPN, especially for people inside the country

i dont think is possible to disable updates outside a specific country....
in any case, i use also taiwan ,singapore and hong kong vpn access point ,and nothing found in updates....
i think this tablet is official sold in those countries....so if there is.....
i hope that they put ota works with new updates in the futures....
Could look like the OTA servers are up again..though not sure to what ZUI-revision you are able to upgrade to.
How far can you OTA-update the P11pro 2021 on native CN/ENG-ROM with the use of the tablet's own system OTA-update app, and is it all the way to the latest ZUI revision for P11PRO 2021..
though not sure what that is, don't have much confidence in Lenovo fw/sw abilities to flip the coins on my unit, if there aint any real benefits with newer ZUI revisions.
Are there any benefits on the newer ZUI revisions vs the older ZUI12 it arrives with..?
