Galaxy S6 Black or White ?

Was going to pre order the S6 in black but after seeing them in person at Best Buy that White Pearl looks mighty nice.
Which color looks the best you and which color are you getting?

White wouldn't have been horrific if it wasn't for the white lenses on the camera at the back. With it, it looks absolutely terrifying.
I would personally go for either black or blue, but first I have to see the latter one in person, because it is too bright of a color and it might not look as good in person as it does on pictures.

Pre ordered the white edge from verizon from Best Buy. The darker colors look to be fingerprint magnets.

I usually prefer white phones, but the Nexus 5 got me used to having a black face. I think I might explore replacing the black glass back with a white one somewhere down the line for a similar Stormtrooper aesthetic.

Black all the way! I have only had one phone in white, that was an iPhone 4S, it was good looking for the first few months and after that I got sick of having a big black rectangle on a white body. When I switched to my Galaxy S4 I went black (not really black at all) and it was a lot better to my eyes.
In the end, its personal preferences.

If I was stuck with those two colors I'd definitely pick black.

Mocha Gold color option, like or dislike?

I went with the Mocha Gold option, and I was really hesitant before ordering. In person it looks much more subtle than some of the pictures and videos online were totally off. From the back, in certain light, it almost looks like a softer rose gold? But every time I look at it in different light it looks different. Overall I am really happy I went with it though.
What do you think of the color options? Which color did you get?

I need to see in person. Seems cool, but if too gold or brown not so much. A bronze though might be cool. Anyways not much help as I can't really say anything other than curious until I see in person.
I got white and put black protector on screen so it is black front and white back like the Nexus phones. Such a small thing but really looks tons better. I would have gone for silver or grey but hard to tell not seeing them in person, a deep rich grey would be nice though. Love this as is though, just wish the bottom black bezel covered the nameplate completely or had oval cutout rather than rectangular cutout - looks less polished with the rectangular cutout but can't find any that are otherwise.

I wanted to go with the Space Grey originally, but the 6 GB 128 GB premium version was only offered in Mocha Gold or Gold. Overall it looks almost nothing like the pictures, but they did the colors very well and I am impressed. Its more of a softer or low-key gold than brown, not quite rose gold, but darker.
Still would have preferred the Space Grey as its more of a minimal clean look, but meh, it still looks very good. :silly:

I originally got Gold but it has a shiny coat on the back which I didn't like. Swapped it for a Mocha with a matte finish on the back and loving it.

Coral Blue was my favourite but I got Orchid Gray cause blue wasn't available

I like all the colors but i chose black just because it seems to best blend the screen into the edges making it really appear invisible.

Coral Blue as it's a unique as well nice colour for the infinity display which complements each other.

I just picked up the black one yesterday. I like that it's not very intrusive and matches just about everything. It's a rather neutral color. I would suggest you pick whatever matches your purse!

It really doesn't matter. You're covering up the back with a case anyways.

I wanted the US Unlocked version, so I was limited to black. But honestly the black is gorgeous. It's a deep wet black and when the screen is off, it all blends together and just has a really clean look.
Now, if it had been available at the time, I probably would've got Coral Blue (and am tempted once Best Buy gets it), just because I'm a little tired of black, white, grey phones.
My other choice would've been Orchid Grey. But one, it was not available in unlocked version, and two my wife chose that color and I don't want us to have identical phones. With the very slight purple tint it seemed a little more feminine, but not enough so that I would be opposed to owning one. I liked the uniqueness of it.
I dislike gold phones, and the silver, while nice and clean, just seems bland somehow.
Ultimately, I'm happy with black. My ONLY issue with it so far is how much it shows fingerprints and smudges. Plus I put a full body clear skin on both our phones from Best Skins Ever. My wife's orchid grey turned out perfect and you can't see the skin at all. Mine however, the edges really show, and any little imperfections shows against the black.
We both also run cases and screen protectors on our phones, but the cases are clear so the color matters. Plus at home I take my case off just to see the beauty of this phone. I put skins on under the cases, because I have seen dust get between cases and the phone surfaces and etch scratches into them in the past. So just being over protective I guess. I'd love to just run it naked, but I'm too OCD and want my phone to look mint when I resell it later.

No but seriously the black is just gorgeous. I wanted the S7E in black but only had the silver at the time i purchased. It was nice but sort of hated it. Even the S5 didn't have a dark black finish, it was more so dark blue. My last black phone prior to this one was the HTC Evo and before that the palm pre. So i had to have the black this time around and love it. My wife got the orchid and wasn't to fond of it at first but now she does...or so she says. compared it to the S3 i have at home since its blue.

I also like the Black! But if I want different colors later then I'll do it via cases...

I had a black one and it looked really nice and sleek but was kinda boring too.
I Got a gold one which is nice and its a different gold than the note 7 i had (not as flashy) but I reallllllly wanted silver. Just didnt feel like waiting any longer to get one lol.
The orchid gray one ( which is more purple or mauve) actually looks nice also but its a bit too girly for a man to have in my opinion lol.
The blue is really sexy to see it in person but seems to as hard to get as silver. I would have been okay with a blue one too.

Anyone else notice that cases take the paint off the corners? I have 2 wear marks on mine already. Had it a month.

I got the maple gold and it looks really good, I prefer it over the orchid grey and the dull black color. I wanted Corel blue but it wasn't in stock, so went with this and no regret.

I went for orchid grey, had black phones since the s4 and liked the grey so thought the change will be nice. No regrets yet

Dang, that was my main concern with the black. The silver frame around the silver and orchid grey seem more durable and hide more wear. Black is beautiful but shows everything.

If I ever have to choose, I will always go for Orchid Grey. It is classy, unique and sophisticated color. Good part is front is black for all colors so making choice is quite easy and will mostly depend on person taste rather then force decision like with LG G6.

I chose nebula blue because I normally ALWAYS opt for black phones and it's time to try something new. Possibly go for that Rinke blue case to protect it as well.

Neb Blue. With that color it feels kinda wrong to put it in a case or use a skin.

The exact same thing for me, but then I decided on the 12gb ram model and that only comes in the Nebula Blue so glad I decided blue before hand lol. Previously I've had ALL black phones except the Nexus 6P, that was the silver one.

Nebula Blue cause blue rules and it's beautiful.

Touche. And ditto right back at ya. Sorta lets other 1+ owners let you know you're in possession of a higher tier phone. The almond isn't out and seems to be capped at what, 8gb ram for the time being? I wanted 12gb and 256. Plus the nebula was just a change from the norm...

I got the grey version, only because I detest blue. I really wish I could have gotten the 12gb version in grey, but hey whatever. I thought about getting the blue version, and swapping the back plate, but the frame was blue as well.

I got the mirror gray color 8/256 model. I went to T-Mobile on launch day and the only color they had was mirror gray. I took it because I wanted the phone already. My brother got the nebula blue color and it looks awesome but the gray color has grown on me. Also everything is going to have the blue color. So I like having a color that most likely wont be as popular.

I ordered both but after getting the Mirror Gray in my hands I canceled my Nebula Blue order. The gray is super clean looking and doesn't stand out and that's exactly why I like it. I'm not a blue fan for anything, especially not on my phones.

Mirror grey, only because the TMobile store didn't have nebula blue. Have a wood skin on it now.

Nah, almond white really differentiates. Everyone now has this blue one. I already have enough of it.

Flossy black!

I know it's only 16 votes so far but I am surprised that bronze and black share the lead right now. Bronze was heavily promoted by Samsung and tech bloggers seem to love it. I ordered that colour even without seeing it in real life, hope it lives up to the hype!

I like the bronze but it only comes in black for 512gb

Got Black as it's the only way to get 512Gb.

Got black for 512GB but I also feel (from the pics I have seen) that the bronze looks to close to rose gold. It's great to see so many people like the mystic bronze but it's just not my style, I'm more boring and always liked black. All my vehicles have either been black or white (tied at 2 a piece for white and black but my first car was grey so in the middle of the 2, lol). Also after I strayed from black phones to the coral blue Note 7 I feel cursed to stray from black again lol. Anyway, 512GB only on mystic black also forces my hand even if they had another colour. Why they don't make both colours optional 512GB is stupid but it's Samsung.

I agree. I really like the Mystic Green color, but it's only on the smaller note. And on top of 512GB in black only, no 256GB in the US ?
What irks me is that they'll release more colors later. Why not release all of them?

After going with Aura Glow last year on the Note 10+, I found myself wishing I had gone for Aura Black. I just love the look of the all black slab with the screen off. But I also HATE the greasy fingerprints on black, and I've been wanting a matte phone forever. I actually have a matte clear skin on the rear of my Aura Glow Note 10+, which made it just an irridescent silver color.
So I was all set on Mystic Black and had no interest in bronze. But after seeing it was a matte finish, I began looking a little closer at it. I finally pre-ordered it in bronze last night. After looking at it in person at Best Buy today, I feel confident I made the right choice. It really has a premium look to it, and I didn't really get a rose gold vibe from it. Plus if I get sick of it, I'll put a white skin on the back, which will look amazing with the bronze frame and camera mountain.

That's great to know that you got to see it in real life, a lot of reviewers say that the colour looks better in real life. Cameras seem to make it look more rose gold than bronze. I blindly ordered mine in Bronze because of the praise it was getting in reviews. So thank you for confirming I made the right choice )

I was going to get the white, but went with bronze due to the matte finish. Was slightly tempted to the black only for the 512GB, but I have 128 in my current S20 Ultra and I don't use it all, plus will have an SD card waiting for the phone.

That's true of retailers trying to shift stock, but that doesn't apply in this case as we are talking about a product that's not released yet.
They promoted Aura Glow last year and it quickly became the 'must have' colour based on the feedback from reviewers. I still love it. So bronze is also taking the same reviewers by storm. I am confident it will still be the most popular, black being also popular but probably only because of the limitation on the 512Gb variant.

i was sold on the bronze but went and saw it in person and didnt like it as much.
if I get one i will import a 512gb mystic white one likely since the dipshits at samsung only sell 512gb in black in Canada again this year.
