I would like to use the Wallet app but I cannot sign in for anything as the App thinks that it is in Germany - I am in Japan. No other App does this, I'm not rooted and I don't have any VPN software installed. The phone was purchased in the UK.
Is this a problem with Samsung or do I need to change a setting?

I think you need to change the CSC there's a 5 minute 'easy' fix in the link below:
Samsung Pay in german, CSC is EUX fix, 5 minutes
Hello This also works with most Samsung phones If anyone is struggling with Samsung pay being in German and has the csc being EUX, I know how to solve the issue and it only takes about 5 minutes. Basically the csc is set to EUX, which is the new European standard, but for some reason, Samsung...

I have a greymarket import S7 Duos with the CSC OJV (which is either middle east or africa depending on the source) and it still hasn't received the June firmware update. I'd like to switch my CSC to get timely firmware updates. Does it make any difference which CSC I use? Is there any that would be best based on update timeliness and/or compatibility with US carriers (T-Mobile/AT&T)?
Also, is there any way to download stack firmware images direct from Samsung rather than going through shady third parties?

Hi mate
The thing is you need updates for a G930FD , all the available firmware are from this countries at the moment

India is a good option as they get updates very often , compatibility? if your phone is working fine now it should work fine with any of this...
CSC change, you have to do a factory reset
Check this thread , it shows you how to change csc or flash a newer firmware without waiting for the update (odin) BUT you should do it with G930FD firmware there they use G930F firmware , the basics are the same
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s7/how-to/official-stock-firmware-update-odin-t3369431
This thread says that the single sim firmware and dual sim firmware are interchangeable. Am I misunderstanding something?
As far as carrier compatibility, the phone works, but I don't have visual voicemail. Also not sure if I'm missing other features like VoLTE.
The Spain firmware has wifi calling and Samsung pay. I don't know if you can make wifi calling work but you can tweak Samsung pay for USA market.

Same here. On the FD version.. My problem is dual SIM not really working. Yes, I have two numbers and. That's about it. Data doea not work. Disabling SIM2 and. SIM1 works LTE on AT&T. No VoLTE obviiusly so I can't comment about it. With an xposed module, my Android pay works. You will most. Likely won't be able to make Samsung Pay work. I did a massive reading and can't tell you one person that was able to set it up and use it in a store . my advice to you is forget about OTA. Don't be scared about the Knox bit, trip it, and install TWRP and a custom ROM. those get normally the latest firmware in them, with recent security patches, and some of them are even OTA by themselves. You can also hey rid of tons of bloatware this way. I wouldn't bother dealing with changing CSC from Egypt to India. Since you are already at XDA I guess you know what to do.

If you boot into download mode, the phone will even display G930F as its model number. You can run F firmware on an FD without issue. As for the dual SIM working, I haven't tested it, but I did read that SIM1 has full connectivity, while SIM2 is limited to 2G/3G. You can't have two 4G SIMcards active at the same time.
I'm running Samsung pay perfectly fine on UAE firmware. Samsung pay is unfortunately firmware dependent. However, if you trip KNOX you're not going to be able to use Samsung Pay ever again. And to be completely honest, if you're not using Samsung pay, you shouldn't be using an S7; get yourself a better phone like the G5/Nexus/V10/Moto X. The S7 lacks a lot that other phones bring to the table, assuming that you don't care much for photo quality.

Would wifi calling work on US T-MOBILE?
Same question here. I'm using Tracfone and T-Mobile sim cards, and my G930FD is from United Arab Emirates. There is a Islamic calendar in the S Planner which I was unable to get rid of, so I found the UK firmware and CSC from Sammobile. After flashing those files to phone, the Wifi calling and Samsung Pay still won't work. Otherwise the UK firmware works fine, since there's no bloatware or funny stuff(like calendar from other country). Dual sim works with no issue too. Still hope to find a better CSC file for Samsung Pay and Wifi Calling.
My G930FD is a Singapore set and Samsung Pay has been available for quite a while now.
I recently flashed the UK BTU firmware, seems to have less bloat but Samsung Pay isn't available, side loading didn't seem to work either.
I flashed the UK firmware hoping to get faster security patches, so far still on July. But not sure if just me, but phone feels a bit snappier and fingerprint sensor seems more accurate on July vs June's.
Where are you all getting the stock firmware for different countries?

When you had the Singapore firmware, did you actually use Samsung Pay successfully? I have a 930FD that is for the UAE, but Samsung Pay wasn't on it and it didn't work when I sideloaded it. I flashed it to the the BTU version and was able to sideload it and log in, but it won't take any of my credit cards here in the USA. Also, the signal strength on AT&T is much weaker than another phone that I have that is made for the American market.
Should I try to find a firmware that is still located in the same region as the UAE with Samsung Pay and without the annoying bloatware the UAE mandates for their phones? Would India be good?

Samsung Pay worked when I was on the SG firmware. It also worked when I flashed the Australia unbranded firmware, even though I was in Singapore. By working I mean I'm able to add cards, make contactless transactions and so on.
So Pay should work on any firmware that it's officially available in, regardless where you use it.
I would try Australia, minimal bloat. F / FD firmwares work interchangeably.
So, due to no Gear S3 being available in Australia for some time, I ordered the SM-RF760 Model from www.eglobaldigital.com.au
I have the s7 Edge Aussie Variant. Just found out that Samsung Pay is no available on the SM-RF760 and been advised by Samsung that it will only become available and has to be activated in the country i bought the watch from!!! Can you believe it? Maybe one day I can side load a version, of if someone can help, please please do
Michael
Sorry but you can't side load it. The only way to get it on the watch is to load the csc file from Australia. I am in the same boat in Canada. Have it in Gear Manager but it won't go on the watch until Canada updates the CSC file.

Thanks Swordfish

Mine in Canada is OXA, can someone from US tell me what version you have? I believe this is what prevents us from installing SP on our watches.

I ask now on another forum and wait answer.
Man buy R760 from USA, now version APK7.
Pnone not Samsung. Adding russian card without problem.
SP working via NFC and MST.
Sorry for my bad english.
APK7 is the firmware version but I need to know what CSC version the Americans have. Using the procedure above, you can check and see what version you have. It won't hurt your watch to just check the version number.
Swordfish
My guess is my model number is the American version SM-R760
CSC: R760OXA1APK6 SM-R760
We have PK7 as the firmware but my thinking must be incorrect. It seems we all have OXA as the CSC value so now I'm puzzled as to how the watch knows not to install SP on my watch??
Swordfish
THIS IS SO FRUSTRATING AND SAMSUNG ARE HOPELESS, THEY TOLD ME I HAVE TO WAIT FOR IT TO BECOME AVAILABLE IN THE COUNTRY I PURCHASED, HONG KONG?? Is SM-R760 the USA version then?

I think, need another activation SP.
May be enabling in special menu, before buy.
May be first pairing and activation in country non USA.
May be first pairing and activation with non USA Samsung phone firmware.
I dont know....
gah samsung pay not available on my HK version of the watch. Gah is there any update on this (flashing firmware etc) to get samsung pay to work in my home country (australia)?
This is frustrating
It's the watch, nothing you do on your phone will bypass it. I'm in Canada, didn't even have the SP option in my gear app and then I sold my Canadian one and got a USA one and it installed itself on my Canadian S7 Edge (unrooted/unmodded). SP works even though we don't officially have SP in Canada (only pre-release for one bank)
Hi, I'm in the UK and just purchased a new Unlocked Fold 2 from Germany and my issue is I can't register on Samsung Pay with it here in the UK {already have SP on my other phone). I think the issue is related to the CSC hope someone can help.

Not the answer you are looking for ... but I had a DBT CSC Fold2 a few months back and it worked with Google Pay.
Mine only lets me download the German version of the app which displays in English but will only accept German post codes for registration.
Hello everyone
Just wander to know whether anyone have the Chinese Version firmware which is flashable for galaxy watch 4 classic SM-R890, because the firmware code for chinese version is R890 ZCU1XXXX, not XXU1XXXX, and it has huge different between ZCU and XXU, and the CSC code for China is CHC, Hardware Code is R890NZKACHC
Any help and/or resources will be appreciated
Low chance...
We have EVA8... old Firmware for International SM-R890...
Please can you give more infos why you need chinese Firmware?
Device dead? Halfdead? Or for study?
If you like "adventures"... MAYBE EVA8 from SM-R890 work...
Then CSC is set to XAA USA...
For me XAA CSC makes trouble with my WiFi Network... I am from Germany.
If XAA is active. I can NOT connect to my Network...
Best Regards
I just flashed the EVA8, but it does not allow me to change CSC code
I use the watch in standalone mode, then enter *#272*719434266344# but it does not show me the CSC change screen.
CSC should be XAA now.
You can update to latest Firmware via FOTA over the Air?
EVA8 work so far for you?
CSC change is very close to impossible at the moment.
I can do this only with Root... and this require USB cable... and kill Knox Warranty Bit...
Best Regards
All work for me, but how to root it? where you get the USB dock?

Hello everyone.
I am planning to buy soon the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra but I am in a situation when I would be moving country (from France to Spain) in a few months.
It looks like the Samsung Care + insurrance is bound the the country it's being contracted for ?
Also I remember back then I had a S9+ and when I moved from Spain to France I could not use Samsung Pay anymore even after device reset, from what I remember I had to reflash it completely with Odin using a stock firmware made from France instead of the Spanish firmware I had, do you know if this is still the case ? (From what I see on the sammobile firmwares lists it looks like it's mostly an unique european firmware now instead of one per operator and per country ?)
Do you know if by luck we can register card from both country like how it's possible with iPhone ?
Do you know if the same limitations also apply to Samsung Watches ? (I remember I had to do the same back then with Odin and my previous Samsung Watch that was on Tizen to be able to register French card on Samsung Pay on it)
Thanks
I am Argentinian and brought my s22 ultra in Uruguay. They told me that the warranty was valid for three countries, Argentina, Chile and of course Uruguay. It is a carrier unlocked device, meaning that I can use it with any carrier. Perhaps you should just ask if your warranty and Care services will still be valid?
For the thing about using Samsung Pay when changing country, back then I had flash it with Odin with a new CSC.
Is this something I would so have to do if I move from France to Spain? I see that there is an European CSC for this model so I'm not sure.
