recently bought Pixel 2(with no sim carrier) with OEM unlock enable in developer options can't unlock it bootloader. - Google Pixel 2 Questions & Answers

I recently bought a new Pixel 2 to install a custom OS. In the developer option OEM unlocked is enable. but after I tried to "fastboot flashing unlock" in cmd it return this error.
FAILED (remote: 'Flashing Unlock is not allowed
')
fastboot: error: Command failed
and when I return to Developer option the OEM unlocking become grayed out.
I could return the OEM unlocking to enabled again if I factory reset the whole phone. but I still couldn't unlock the bootloader.
how can I fix this and unlock my bootloader?
edit: i tried to used "fastboot flashing lock_critical" command but the output become.
FAILED (remote: 'unknown command')
I used this platform tool: platform-tools_r33.0.2-window
(according to this thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/oem-unlocking-issue-solved.3716668/)

My Pixel2 OEM Unlocking was greyed out but it appeared availble to change once I rebooted having connected to the internet. Then I was able to carry on towards unlocking etc.

That's interesting, I just got a pixel 2 but unlocking is disabled, toggle greyed out after attempting. How much did you pay?
Does he have some alternative way to undo the restrictions?

I'm in the same boat, tried everything I could find.
Is your pixel 2 also set to boot-slot: B by default?

OEM Unlocking Issues

So I just got a refurbished Pixel 2, already checked the IEMI on Verizon's site and it is not Verizon. I use Google Fi so I connected with that, and the OEM Unlocking setting was enabled in settings by default. I have enabled and disabled and restarted multiple times, but no matter if it is enabled or not, fastboot reads this after running
Code:
fastboot oem unlock
:
Code:
FAILED (remote: 'Flashing Unlock is not allowed')
fastboot: error: Command failed
I have restarted billions of times to check and see if OEM unlocking and USB debugging is enabled, and nothing has worked so far.
f you are updating a Nexus or Pixel device that is manufactured in 2015 or later (for example, a Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P, Pixel, Pixel XL, Pixel 2 or Pixel 2 XL device), run this command:
fastboot flashing unlock
For Pixel 2 XL only with loader version prior to TMZ20a: the critical partitions may also need to be unlocked before flashing. The unlock can be performed with this command, and should NOT be done on other devices:
fastboot flashing unlock_critical

[Q] Unlock bootloader of Wiko Rainbow sibling: Wiko Y80

Hi everybody,
I know this is a thread about Wiko Rainbow not about Y80, but maybe someone had the following problem in the past...
I would like to unlock the bootloader of a Wiko Y80 to install a custom ROM.
On the Internet, there are many pages where there is the same guide (written in different ways) for unlocking the bootloader using 'fastboot'.
The problem is that 'fastboot' does not work because:
fastboot flashing unlock > FAILED (remote: Not implemet.)
fastboot oem unlock > FAILED (remote: unknown cmd.)
fastboot oem get_unlock_data > FAILED (remote: unknown cmd.)
fastboot flashing unlock_critical > FAILED (remote: Not implement.)
By chance, does anyone know if there is another way for unlocking the bootloader or, even better, to flash a ROM like LineageOS GSI?
I would like to have some news from guys who really made/tried it successfully.
Thanks,
Roberto
I hoped i would be able to do this as well but nope, no luck
I managed on Y61 just enable oem unlock in developer settings then run
Code:
fastboot flashing unlock

Problem with unlocking OnePlus Nord bootloader

I have been trying to unlock my oneplus nord's bootloader but when I enter "fastboot oem unlock" with my phone in fastboot mode it says "
FAILED (remote: 'Command not supported in default implementation')
fastboot: error: Command failed
"
Even though I have oem unlock and USB debugging enabled in the developer settings! Please help
(EDIT: I fixed it, it turns out I used "./adb reboot fastboot" instead of "./adb reboot fastboot")
It has been fixed
Can you please delete this post, the forum is dedicated to custom roms, not peoples problems with the phone.

Question Bootloader Unlock Error (Unable to open fastboot HAL)

Hello,
I'm trying to bootloader unlock this phone and have encountered the above error. I am using the OEM cable, and basic ADB commands work (adb reboot ______, etc.) The command fastboot oem device-info yields the same error message. I'm thinking I don't have the right USB drivers but the phone is so new I can't find anything for it.
Do you guys have any ideas?

Unlock Bootloader Doogee X95

Hey all,
Trying to unlock Bootloader on Doogee X95. I've managed to get as far as selecting yes to unlock bootloader from fastboot mode however it fails. When pressing vol up it says "unlock failed" with no further reason then returns to fastboot menu.
In the cmd window the following was printed:
fastboot flashing unlock
<bootloader> start unlock flow
FAILED (remote: '
Unlock operation is not allowed
'>
fastboot: error: Command failed
Any ideas on what might be going on? Is this just one of those phones that do not allow for bootloader to be unlocked?
I've accidentally rebooted into fastboot mode menu rather than bootloader once and the info on bootloader it had was:
Bootloader version - Unknown
Trying to see if I can flash full/original android onto it to replace android go it has from manufacturer to open display over apps feature.
