Stuck on Fastboot or screen-flashing recovery - OnePlus 6 Questions & Answers

Hi
I got a OnePlus 6:
Product_Name: sdm845
VARIANT: SDM UFS
Serial_Number: e85e6df
I've tried installing TWRP but it just stops on Fastboot Loading.
If I somehow get the recovery partition running it flashes from black screen to regular every 30 seconds so it's impossible to recover.
I think I have Android 10 but not sure about enchilada.
A year ago I have a TWRP I could boot on but I've lost it.
Can someone direct me to a bootable TWRP or any way to fix this issue?
Thanka

OPO hangs on splash screen. Cannot get system or recovery to boot

Hi all,
My phone has been running great since the last time it decided to soft brick on me about two months ago... Two nights ago I was using my phone and the system just randomly rebooted. When it came back up I kept getting force closes from virtually every google app and the touchscreen. I decided to go into TWRP and restore an old backup. After I restored from the backup the issue wasn't fixed so I went back into TWRP and wiped the system/cache and attempted to restore again. Since doing that I am stuck on the splash screen, but I can get into fastboot.
Using fastboot I have attempted to reflash 44S and TWRP multiple times without any luck. I have re-downloaded TWRP and CWM on my laptop and when I go to flash/boot both images, fastboot reports that they're not a bootable image. I can get the original TWRP file that I installed a couple of months ago to flash using fastboot, but the phone still hangs at the splash screen when using vol+down. When I use fastboot to manually boot the image (fastboot boot recovery.img) the phone does begin to boot into TWRP. After sitting at the blue Team win screen for about 10-15 seconds the phone reboots and once again hangs at the splash screen.
The last thing I did was follow http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-one/general/guide-return-opo-to-100-stock-t2826541 step by step. The only part that failed was trying to flash the userdata image... It also will not erase using the erase command. The recovery image included in the zip does flash, but once again hangs. Using fastboot boot recovery.img results in the phone brightness increasing and the phone to stop responding.
At this point, I"m not sure what else to do. At first when I was able to put the phone into fast boot I thought this would be an easy fix, but now I'm running out of ideas and patience. I am a noob, but I am capable of following directions. Any help that you guys are able to provide would be greatly appreciated.

No dice.... everything in bat 2 was okay except reserve 4 and userdata. Still hangs on the splash.

Xiaomi max 2 unable to boot. Shows linux penguin only

I was on lineage oreo when the problem first started. i cleaned cache and dalvik through twrp but device took alot time to boot more than usual and it didn't booted for an hour. so i thought cleAN SYSTEM and flash the rom again, but same problem after sometime device refused to boot and showing linux logo instead of mi boot screen.
after a lot of tries, 4-5 twrp booted somhow, i don't know how. so i flashed xenonHD and device took mins to boot and this time i waited for it to boot. the device booted in 45 min.
after a day, the device is woking properly and after waking up next day, device battery is dead and unable to boot into twrp.
device getting detected in fastboot mode but unable to write and format anything. i tried "fastboot boot twrp.img" and twrp stucked at its splash screen.

Endless bootloop after I correctly flashed TWRP.

I flashed TWRP through Minimal ADB and Fastboot. It said the install went fine. Now my phone is stuck in a bootloop at the "your device is booting now" screen. What do I do?
I had the same issue with twrp-3.2.1-1-berkeley.img. Using twrp-3.2.1-0-berkeley.img flashes fine but reboots into fastboot after about 8 seconds. Either I'm doing something incorrectly (??) or maybe a bit more work needs to be done with our twrp images.
EDIT: You need to use the "unofficial" TWRP image. Complete solution here.

OOS11 Broke TWRP and bricked my devices

My Phone was running Android 11 perfectly fine. Has been for about a week and a half, and I've decided that I don't like the OS. I was going to flash a custom ROM and went to create a nandroid before flashing. Literally all I did was boot into recovery and TWRP got stuck in a bootloop, the TWRP splash screen appears, crashes and then reappears about 2 seconds later, now when I try to boot back into system, TWRP appears instead and continues to bootloop. I can enter fastboot mode but that's all.
So far I've tried
Booting TWRP through fastboot. Failed another bootloop.
Rebooting through ADB. Boots into TWRP.
Rebooting Bootloader. Seems to do nothing.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this ? It seems strange to me that something as simple as booting recovery could do this much harm. I also have a nandroid backup stored on the device from about a month ago, so the data loss wouldn't be THAT major, but I'm also not sure how I could access it without system or recovery access.
Hi , Which version of TWRP use? I think there is an update a new version TWRP 3.5.2 , Try to flash it. if its still not booting try to boot the original Boot of OOS11.
May be this threads will help you.

New version does not work as well. Flash the stock boot img to get out of bootloop.

Qualcomm Crash Dump Mode - PLEASE HELP

Hello!
I wanted to update my oneplus 8 from 11.0.4.4 to newest version. OTA was not working idk why. I had magisk in place and I patched magisk to second partition or something like that [I dont remember how it was called] - I'm sure this is the reason of the problems. I turned off devices and wanted to boot into recovery, but suddenly it boot into Qualcomm crash dump mode with message: Attempted to kill init! exitcode: 0x00007f00 do_exit - that's all. I can't boot the system, I can;t boot into recover, I flashed patched boot, I flashed recovery - none of these works. Fastboot is present and recognized by PC.
First question can I do some backup through fastboot? To be honest I was not prepared for such problems. APKs are not even such a problem I care more about photos, documents and other data.
Can I flash some rom and restore phone back to life without wiping my personal data?
Please can you help me? I tried with some tutorials, but no success...
Maybe an idea would be to load TWRP recovery and then do backup, but how to boot into recovery when even after flashign recovery or booting via fastboot it enters in qualcoom crash dump mode. Something must be corrupted, but is it possible to fix some partition just in order to flash recovery to do backup of the files?
Okay I managed to get back to normal - since like I mentioned i patched the magisk into second slot, then probably this corrupted something. What has helped me is this: fastboot --set-active=b
It was not working via powershell I had to launch CMD and then it worked I switched slot to "b" and phone booted normally.
Hi, I'm facing the same problem but probably not for the same cause.
I'm right now on PE12 (with PE recovery) and wanna install TWRP recovery to then move on another A12 based ROM (Evox).
Basically my goal is to replace PE recovery with TWRP. So when trying to install twrp after downloading the ZIP file onto the phone, when I fastboot the img file, it sends me to the crash Dump mode.
How can I fix this? please note I have no issue booting to the main OS.
