I tried to install Google Pay on my unlocked (not rooted) 12s ultra and no success adding a credit card for the lack of certification/ fail Safetynet pass. So i rooted the phone (13.0.5) and I installed Zygisk and Safetynetfix...I was able to add some credit cards (not all of them) but no luck in using them to pay (generic error in the NFC operation). The wallet type is set on Google Pay and I gave all the permissions. Was anybody else able to use Google Pay on 12s Ultra?
Thanks in advance
I've added two cards to Google Pay. From two different banks. And no root on the phone. Worked like a charm
I hope you manage to get it working
Could you describe the root process?

Thanks...for me it was impossible to add a card in an unlocked but not rooted 12s ultra...so the problem should be related to unlocking. I have to wait for xiaomi.eu rom...

No, rooting it would not affect the unlock status, and yes it will still be unlocked if you flash a custom ROM as long as it supports it. Ex: if you flash an AT&T ROM, it will only work on AT&T

But for the att HTC One a9 the latest is 1.27
Oneplus updated the OnePlus 6's Bootloader and you may ask yourself 'Can i still root?'
The answer is yes. It is easy.
1. At first, your bootloader has to be unlocked
2. Just download the Twrp.img and the Twrp installer from twrp.me, then the latest magisk installer
3. Put the magisk.zip and twrp installer zip into the root of your device and boot into bootloader
4. Now you have to open a new shell or cmd window in your adb folder, then type "Fastboot devices" there
5. If your phone is recognized, then do this command: " fastboot boot .\twrp-3.2.1-0-enchilada.img"
6. The op6 should boot into the TWRP, there type in your pincode, pattern, or what so ever you have. If you get a message because of system modification, click 'Keep read only'
7. Go to 'Install', then flash the TWRP installer zip, then magisk right after it
8. Just reboot and enjoy
The procedure is the same as always. I can confirm it's working because i rooted a few minutes ago
Just keep in mind the kernels and custom roms haven't been updated to 5.1.7 base yet and may not work until they are.

Will this update lock the bootloader back?
Pretty sure I swiped to allow system modifications on my first twrp installation so will that matter?

I'm not sure how you went about rooting it originally, but if you have only flashed boot.img and nothing else. Then yes that is how I would go about doing it on my phone, if I was wanting to go back to locked bootloader. I don't see any issue with doing that after you install the stock boot.img.

Yes That sucks but we all learn from are mistakes.. Fastboot Flash this stock boot.img and then either lock bootloader or if you want to have root? have magisk patch same stock boot.img and reinstall.
P.s. I also have been able to update over ota by just restoring stock boot.img in magisk.
Incase you wanted to keep rolling out with root. If you need help.i will try to make a step by step way I did it.

Fastboot versions are better than recovery versions.
The recovery have the strict necessary to make the phone work.
Going from a version, for example V12.5.1.0.QFHINXM fastboot to version V12.5.1.0.QFHINXM recovery will not change anything since they are the same.

The play store is not certified because the bootloader is unlocked and you cannot lock it since your phone is a Chinese version, root the phone and use Magisk hide.

OEM Unlocked.
Just as I thought, this phone has a MediaTek SoC. And I remember now why I stayed away from MediaTek years ago. They will probably not release any source code and without it we are SOL when it comes to custom ROM. Stay away from MediaTek and go with Qualcomm and Google devices. Save you some disappointment after you get your new phone and find out you really can't do anything with it.
