Question aptX HD or LDAC support for 6a? - Google Pixel 6a

I noticed that aptX HD is not listed in 6a's specs on gsm arena.
Is it for real or just a typo?

It does have AptX (listening to it now) however my AptX HD cans have taken a dump so I can't test. However the Developer Options menu is exactly the same as my Pixel 4a5g and it has it (yes it is a Snapdragon). I would think if it had standard AptX it would have HD as well. Even my lowly A32 5G with the MediaTek Dimensity 700 has both standard Aptx and AptxHD

LDAC tested, and works. About aptX HD i don't know, I think that it will not work because is a codec used for Qualcomm and probably licensed by them

Now I think that is supported, but I don't have any device to try.
Maybe someone can test.

According to the reviews of specs I've read, it doesn't support aptX HD.

Yeah I don't think so. It's a Qualcomm thing and Google went out of their way to avoid all Qualcomm components. I tried to check but my BT headphones don't support aptX

I can confirm all of the listed codecs in developer settings work. I tested it with my Sony WH1000XM3 which supports pretty much everything SBC, AAC, Aptx, Aptx HD and LDAC. All of them work on Pixel 6a. Here are some screen shots:

Is it functioning perfectly with Nexus 4? Any cons u came across?
I am also looking for a budgeted Bluetooth headset in market for my Nexus 4.. Can't decide really. The reviews are so different for all.
It works perfectly with my One X, But not tested on the Nexus 4, it must.
Hummm for cons I don't know, it depends if you want to listen to music and call all the day it's 7-8 hours in call battery.
But very fast to connect, impressive.
I like it

Bluetooth Digital Distortion on Calls / Bluetooth Skips in Music Playback

Bluetooth Digital Distortion on Calls
I've tried two different bluetooth headsets that work fine on other phones but experience digital distortion, for lack of a better word, when on calls. This is heard on the calling and the receiving end of the conversation. When I select GSM only or simply turn off Data enabled on all of the other Preferred network mode options, this digital distortion disappears.
I just wanted to post this thread to help those who're having the same issue.

Bluetooth Skips in Music Playback
On a semi-related note, I also discovered if you experience clips or skips in audio when playing music, try disabling Phone audio within the Bluetooth settings. This has remedied this rather annoying problem on this phone and other phones I own as well.
I have the 6045I model number with Android version 5.0.2. I refuse to update due to all of the issues I'm hearing, plus all I need root for is Viper4Android and it is working beautifully on this version of the OS.

Here's a story about the U11's DAC:
http://indiatoday.intoday.in/techno...view-sounds-as-good-as-it-looks/1/993112.html
I had the HTC 10 and I believe its the same DAC as the 11. I started having issues all around with the 10 after the Android 7.0 upgrade....issues with app compatability and Bluetooth to be specific. Output audio power and sound quality I havr always gone to HTC for. This time I got the V30 because T-Mobile stopped carrying HTC products and man let me tell you, as I listen to my new V30 that I got earlier today, each second that goes by the audio keeps sounding better and better and right now as I listen on my JBL S700 headphones its WAY better aound quality than the HTC. The quad DAC is amazing!

I mean it's to be expected. 1 Volt amp + Aqstic DAC vs 2 Volt amp + Quad DAC

zenfone 6, cannot change developer bluetooth settings (bluetooth speaker stuttering)

hey, i recently got an jbl speaker and i really like the sound but i got some stuttering issues with it.
i tried changing my routers wireless band but it didnt helped.
the frustrating part is that the phone/rom wont let me change the developer bluetooth settings (see picture, can only change avrcp and maximum connected devices, the rest sets itself to default..)
i am on the latest official zenfone 6 android 10 build
any ideas? do you need any more info maybe?
(sure i used the search but couldnt find anything useful)
thanks in advance

From my understanding these options only let you set what your phone, speaker and used codec support. So I'm not surprised that they reset to default, most probably because none of the other options are supported.
well thats weird but at least it would explain it, thanks. so the problem still persists. i guess i have to try a costum rom
I doubt that a custom ROM will let you change those options any better, but it may provide better bluetooth (sound) quality in general and solve your problem that way.

Best headphones/earphones for Mi 10T lite?

Hi everyone, i just joined the Mi 10t lite team, what are the best headphones i can use with this phone. I need mic. and buttons to work. Can i use Samsung AKG headphones or should i go with xiaomi ones ?
DAC is quite decent, I'd say that you can use whichever headphones you like. There is no annoying hissing noise with sensitive IEMs and volume is high enough for "standard" mobile headphones (low-mid impedance).
There are some fancy audio effects in stock ROM which in theory should sound good (especially hearing loss compensation), but unfortunately they distort the sound too much and I just prefer using "hifi sound" (it bypasses all audio effects) with Viper4android to fine tune the sound a little.
I use the DT 770 Pro (80 ohm) and they work quite fine, but they lack a bit of bass, I'd say that anything below 65ohm will do the trick.
But you're totally fine with 80ohm.

JBL. I never have some bad experience with this brand. I like JbL with wires ,old school . I also have Bluetooth some QCY, but it's not so good like JBL. They have the best bass.. Bluetooth is for me expensive so I used wired but I will soon changed for Bluetooth...
Try JBL you will don't regret.
