The new Xiaomi device was announced ! I found this phone on pre-order this means the phone will be released very soon.

Which device are you coming from ?
It really seems a great piece of device with good hardware, great specifications, dual sim support among others.
The only reason that I am still weighing this device over lg G4 (about 200$ expensive) is the price.
G4 has to offer these but it all comes to what I need in my phone?
Do I really need a great camera, NFC for payments, wireless charging, Quick charge (30 minutes for 60% charge compared to 2 hours ten minutes for full charge), a removable battery and expandable memory ? Also, the screen pixel density and results are great for LG G4 where screens are a bit dim/ yellowish for some Xiaomi devices.
However, no SDcard and non removable battery seems a bit of deal breaker for this device. Also, i am not a really big fan of MIUI and their reluctance to release source code which makes it difficult for development.
I might get this device in a month as I am still deciding my options between this, Lg G4, and Moto X Style.

I wonder how the battery life performs on the Xiaomi, also the site i provided has a great deal on that device, thats why i am considering it and i just got a new motherboard that supports usb type c

I'm wondering how network performance will be.. So used to tmobile LTE speeds

I've got a Mi4 that has a 5" 1080p screen with a 3080 battery. Battery life on this phone is pretty amazing. So I would expect the Mi4C to be just as good or better. Getting 5-6 hours SOT is not a problem. I'm usually at 3 SOT at 50-60% battery.

It's not that bad and it's definitely usable. LTE is nice due to the no latency when transferring data. But the speeds of HSPA+ are plenty for everyday things such as streaming music, web browsing, emails, GPS, etc.

I have Tmobile.. how would the 4c work? im guessing ATT would have better data right?

The 4C would work fine on T-Mobile. You would just get 3G/HSPA+.

It will work with Android Wear. I've used it with both my Mi3 and Mi4 when I had my GWatch. You just have to give it the correct permissions in MIUIs permission manager. Also, texts didn't work that well, but it's nothing a 3rd party app like Evolve SMS didn't solve.
You'll probably have issues with Android Pay as the Mi4C doesn't have NFC [emoji6] . I believe only the Mi3 has NFC.

According to the Xiaomi official website, Mi 4c doesn't support TF cards.

Same here. NFC is also my concern...I have already converted to other phones now.

camera
i am little worry about camera . sample photos of Sony's sensor looks great.but i am not sure about the Samsung sensor! how can i trust and get this one. its really perfect phone specially when you considering the price. but i am still don't know what i have to do because camera is important to me .

Well in terms of specs, it beats the Nexus 5X, more ram, battery and has ir blaster. Hopefully camera is good. They both have snapdragon 808 CPU so hoping it gets good ROM support. I'm gonna get this over the disappointing nexus 5x

The screen isn't scratch resistance.be carful really recommended useing screen protector.thats really foolish company use snap 808 for this product so it should be a semi flagship! I don't know gorilla glass layer how much costs :|

Galaxy S8+ SM-G9550 - Any issues with updates or Google Play? Is 6gb ram worth it?

Looking to upgrade from my OnePlus One. Currently considering the Note 8 or an S8+ (although wanting to wait and see what happens with the Pixel XL 2, Mi Mix 2, and maybe even the iPhone 8 (or X, whatever it'll be called)).
I played with the Note 8 in a shop and it was fine, but as I'd like to save some cash am considering the 128gb/6gb ram version of the S8+. Note 8 is about $1600 NZ (although most pre-orders come with an 128gb or 256gb microSD card, wireless charger and sometimes additional things like a speaker or powerbank) where as I can find an S8+ 128gb/6gb version for $1144. My understanding is that the G9550 is either a China or Hong Kong version. Does that mean any issues with using Google apps or getting Google Play going? Would that also mean any issues with future OS updates?
Or should I pay even less and just go for a regular S8+ for around $1000 NZ? I'm a pretty basic phone user nowadays. Gmail, Google Maps, Chrome, Spotify , social apps and running the DJI Go 4 app for my Mavic.

I have zero complaints with my S8+ 4GB Snapdragon version. 4GB is enough to make the phone fast. The Note 8 being a grand is absurd to me.

6Gb is amazing when you use many apps simultaneously. It's smooth and quick.
Have used S8 and 4gb isn't bad but 6gb is amazing.

If your not going to root the phone, so far I think the G9550 is the best model. Dual Sim, 128gb storage, 6gb ram, more coverage on cell bands than all the others it seems. I have travelled all over US and EU and with my US T-Mobile account I have internet everywhere. Even in the US I have better coverage than I had with my US based Samsung S7 which I attribute to the large list of supported radio bands.
I am not a pro at this, so I am open to someone correcting any of my assumptions.

A decent radio would nice, maybe a must, something with good reception, but, from what i can tell mid rang phones skimp on radio quality.
My OnePlusX has all of this minus the 6gb of RAM but, ever since updating to android 9 it's been acting like hardware failure or like there is moisture the main board, GPS not updating/working, No notifications when i get texts etc etc (all worked at first after initial upgrade) One plus sells nothing over 256gb.

You should try the Xiaomi Mi 9.

That's probably you're only option unless there is a global release. Custom roms are good with popular Xiaomi phones.

I would have already ordered if it had all LTE bands .. but some are missing (for Germany)
so I will skip the Mi12 and stay with my Mi11.
The Global device will cost to much in germany... thats why I always buy a CN import device

I purchased some from a Retail store in China. So far they've been really great....I just need to change to global version as Im not a fan of the CN one.

I got mine from a seller on eBay UK. CN rom with Google apps side loaded. Got the phone plus 3 cases. It cost me £450 after eBay gave me a discount.
I agree with eshlad about the CN rom, especially the Chinese notifications plus it doesn't connect to my car.
It has one plus point though, better signal reception than my Mi 11.

If you want to use google apps then nothing will help you. With Gspace phone overheats all the time. I get warnings for being too hot.
Notifications from google does not work. I use google photos in browser!! Chromecast? Forget it.
