I get samsung SC-02L and I don't see which samsung model it matches, but the most interesting thing is that I managed to unlock bootloader with OEM Unlock in developer option but I don't see TWRP anywhere.
now I see which variane it's based on and it's a A8 2018 , cool.
ah my variant upgraded to Android 10 and now has Partition A/B

Pretty much the title. I've updated to android Oreo on my galaxy s7 (G930F, Spain Movistar) and I want to know the status of the bootloader. All I can find is people telling each other if the bootloader is locked or not, but no way to check on my device by myself. The dialing method doesn't seem to work, and it seems like there's no fastboot either, so I'm not sure what's left to check the status of the bootloader.
Besides that, I'm trying to install TWRP so I can install magisk afterwards. I've been trying to flash TWRP through odin, but it seems like it's not doing anything, hence why I think the bootloader may be locked. Any useful resource regarding TWRP and Android Oreo?
You need to get the developer options menu by tapping the build number under software info
Then under developer options is a toggle called OEM unlocking, if that's enabled your bootloader is unlocked. That's it.
Note this only applies to Exynos models, US snapdragon models (G390V/T/A/P etc) can't be unlocked. You can verify your model by booting into download mode. Anywhere can be faked if bought from an untrusted seller.
Hi guys, I'd really appreciate your help so I can get OEM unlock back on my Samsung S8+ dual sim SM-G955FD here in Canada. I'm on Android 8.0.0.
I've tried many of the methods described on this forum and elsewhere without luck. I've even left my phone charging for over a week, with and without a sim. Also no luck.
My guess is that since the model of my phone is not a model imported into Canada by Samsung, and since I understand Samsung unlocks the OEM security feature by sending a signal, Samsung won't send that OEM unlock signal to an unofficial phone.
This mess started when I unsuccessfully tried to root my phone. I must have made a mistake, so I figured the best way to try again would be to reinstall a stock image. Instead of the original Android 7 I installed Android 8 (which also changed the "Samsung Experience" version from 8 to 9). The phone now happily works, but no OEM unlock and so I cannot root.
Please help me get OEM unlock back on my phone.
Thanks so much
D, stuck in Toronto
Did you succeed
the same for me more oem unlock
When I received it it was already on Oreo version bootloader v3 and updated to v5
in v3 oreo oem unlock is turn on
update v5 7 day wait
i have message erasing recovery without admin to odin
The model is SM-A015M. It has a Snapdragon processor.
This is a question I tried to solve myself, but I don't know if it's impossible or I'm just dumb and don't know how to do it.
I've followed a lot of guides, a lot of them telling me to do the same:
"Go to Developer Options and enable OEM Unlock, then boot your phone in Download Mode and hold the Volume Up key to unlock the bootloader. Think you did it? No, because Samsung has the Secure boot thingy. So you skip all the setup steps, but remember to connect to a network. After that, enable Developer Options and you should see the OEM Unlock option grayed out."

And that last part is what ruins everything, OEM Unlock is enabled, but it's not grayed out. Furthermore, I cannot check if the bootloader is unlocked or not via fastboot since I've seen that Samsung doesn't support it. Although, I've used
adb reboot bootloader
which takes me to another screen that obviously says
device state: LOCKED
And I've tried to flash Magisk before with Odin (I don't understand Heimdal fully, to be honest), of course it ended in a failure. I've seen that having a Snapdragon processor makes the bootloader impossible or just very hard (And I'm hoping it's just very hard, 'cause as I'm writing this, it's obviously impossible).
I wonder... If I can't unlock the OEM, why does the developer options give me the choice to unlock or lock it if it doesn't change a thing in the end?

It's not the exact same guide, in terms of words. But I'd be doing the same I did before, so that doesn't work.
sanmsung mobile phones with a that use a snapdragon in north america and south america, and europe that cannot be unlocked
the ones usually sold in asia are the ones you can unlock
and don't even waste more time, samsung took extra steps just so that their mobile does not get unlock and rooted, at least on the snapdragon version
you trip the knox, and prolly will brick your mobile, or at least lose functionality

every Samsung phone that has a snapdragon has a Qualcomm chip as Qualcomm the company makes snapdragon the product.
it's simply not true to say all snapdragon Samsungs can't be unlocked. I'm trying on an unlocked phone now.
it's snapdragons sold in North America and maybe South America (not sure on that last bit) that can't be unlocked.
Samsung N975F OEM unlocks not showing, I have a UAE model and I have tried everything to show OEM unlock date and time flashing but not working at all, I have installed android 11 with binary 7. please suggest me a way to show it or any other way to repair IMEI.
To repair IMEI an Android device's bootloader must NOT be unlocked, but its Android must be rooted.

Thanks man but unfortunately I tried this as well, I don't have the third option for unlocking, all I have in recovery is cancel and continue, holding volume up doesn't do anything
Hello ? Can someone tell me at least if it's doable ?
Someone ?
I've been in the same boat for a couple of months now. It seems that Samsung does not allow this option in the UI (or anywhere else I can find for that matter) for Qualcomm versions. Hopefully someone will come up with a proper hack soon because the bloatware on s10e is just disgustingly invasive and desktop mode is definitely lacking compared with Linux alternatives.
