Let me elaborate my issue:
I own one Samsung phone (M21) and two Galaxy watches - Galaxy watch 46mm LTE and Galaxy watch4 44mm LTE.
Earlier last year, my galaxy watch 46mm LTE was working properly with the Jio number without any issues. In Nov 2021, I switched to galaxy watch4 44mm with the same Jio number successfully and then turned off previous watch and kept it in the drawer.
Yesterday, I turned ON my previous watch, reset it and then tried to activate the mobile plan with the same Jio number. Although the activation completed successfully, the watch was not getting connected to the Jio network. I tried multiple ways to make it work but still the same issue.
Currently, my previous watch shows the status as "Standalone - Emergency calls only". Whereas the new watch is properly connected to the Jio network.
As per the following link, i can pair two smartwatches with the same Jio number: https://www.jio.com/en-in/faq/esim/how-many-smartwatch-can-paired-with-jio-number.html#/
Samsung support team asked me to reset the watch and then try again but it is also not working.
I will be grateful if anybody here help to resolve this issue.

Loving my Urbane 2nd Edition since I got it and upgraded to AW2.0. However, noticed that the watch doesnt "kick" into LTE mode as well as it should at times when I am out of range of my phone's BT or home WIFI. Works better when rebooted. Anyone else having a similar issue where the watch almost refuses to automatically switch to LTE without the phone BT or WIFI?
Mine had never got cellular connection worked, the LTE and wireless signal are showing, but the little cloud with slash is displaying too, never got real connection, no matter if the phone is on/off or in/out of range.
Since 2.0 only calls are available via LTE, but no data streaming
I tried several times with/without roaming, choosing carrier or auto, I can't receive data via the sim card of the watch. Can you please approve or i have a sim issue /watch issue?
If you're using an MVNO's SIM that requires special APN settings, it won't work. Forget about using FreedomPop or Straight Talk or such - it'll have to be the MNO's own brand or APN settings to work. There is no APN editor in Android Wear / WearOS.
Hello,
I have a Gear S2 3G (ATT) and a Galaxy S7. I havent activated mobile data on the watch (thus no ATT number is associated with S2).
Problem: The watch connects to WIFI automatically when I lose Bluetooth connection with phone (ex: out of range). But, WHEN BLUETOOTH CONNECTION IS LOST, AND WIFI KICKS IN, THE WATCH DOES NOT RECEIVE ANY TEXTS, EMAILS OR NOTIFICATIONS. ALSO, SENDING TEXT DOES NOT WORK IN WIFI EITHER. (All watch functions work flawlessly when connected to phone via Bluetooth , by the way)
To date: I have checked all notification and application settings on watch and phone. Numerous level of restart sequences and resets (light and factory) have been tried. The only unresolved issue is "Remote Connection" cannot be turned on in the Gear app on phone. I have spent several hours with Samsung support and read ALL of the post in the internet about S2 connectivity issues (many posts) . One post suggested freezing overnight!!
Does anyone have any resolution suggestions before I send my Gear S2 to Samsung for a hardware/software check?
Sorry for the long post and thanks in advance for your responses.

Maybe someone experience similara proble, maybe someone's got answer?
Problem solved.
I needed samsung phone (with my target sim/phone number) to set mobile plans. Then reset watch and connect to my main phone (Poco F3). Important to reset only phone data, without mobile plans.
a bit disappointed with samsung...
Not working in my GW4. At least in my country.
My Samsung Galaxy LTE Watch Model # SM-R895U is not able to connect to Indian esim services.
On the watch Network Signal is visible & it is showing as an Emergency call only.
How to fix ?
I use a Realme GT Master Edition as my primary device, got a Galaxy Watch 4 LTE today after pairing it up tried setting up the mobile plan and got an error
My network is Jio (India)
When on 5g the wearable app gives error code 5000
When on 4g it gives error code 4001
Any fix for this issue? Messes up the whole functionality of the lte version

Turns out you need a galaxy device to set-up the cellular plan
1. Put your sim in a galaxy mobile then pair your watch to it
2. Setup the watch and activate your cellular plan on the watch
3. Wait to get the full network functionality on the watch then take a backup and reset your watch
4. Put your sim back to your original mobile and pair the watch with it
5. Setup the watch and restore your backup
Cellular plan should be working now
