live wallpaper question

how do i go about ripping the live wallpapers from one rom and turning it into an apk ?

using live wallpapers

I know there's a bunch of live wallpapers from 3rd party sources that can be enabled but when changing the wallpaper there's no option to use a live wallpaper and I was wondering if that's right? Shouldn't there be an option for live wallpapers and a store to go to (like with the theme store)?

It supports live wallpapers just fine. I only have 1 installed (not currently using it) but it shows right along with the other non-live wallpapers.

I downloaded multiple live wallpapers... All were woriking fine, no interference with stock live\ static wallpapers.

Find a Note8 and extract the System UI apk? That's where the live wallpapers are probably stored in, not sure tho.

they are stored in the System UI. Someone will have to backport the SystemUI and you will need to root.

God would love to have the new live wallpapers from the note 8.

this wont be happening without root and a port of the note8 system ui and framework.

How do you change wallpaper to live wallpaper, I installed one and it's not showing up in settings, wallpapers and themes ,only a few lame Sammy pictures and gallery

Google just restored about 200 apps, and one of them is creating a very simple, unmarked lockscreen, blocks the lockscreen animation and always on display.
Does anyone know of a way to find that damn application and creates the lockscreen?
As i said there is nothing distinctive on that fake lockscreen, just a google voice to the left, and a circle to the right that shows you wifi, bluetooth, flashlight and 1 other that i don't remember

Hi how do I make a wallpaper fit. I have a pixel 3a wallpaper but when I select it as wallpaper half the lettering is gone. I have uploaded the wallpaper too.

Ok, if you didn't already, try installing a third party wallpaper pick from the Playstore and try again (it used to work for me)

What I do is make screenshot of the wallpaper and then apply it with photo's.

Question Live wallpapers on lockscreen?

So I've not had a Samsung device since the S5, is it normal that I can't have a live wallpaper from an app (Let's say liveloop) on the lockscreen and a static wallpaper as the homescreen, as far as I've tried when I set a live wallpaper and then set a static one for the home screen the lock screen wallpaper changes to the default one
Any way to get past this?

Well, they are not called live wallpapers anymore. Just called video wallpapers. I use one of the ones that come with the phone and have a static picture on my home screen. Works just fine. I have tried other video wallpapers, but could not find one I liked any better then the one it came with. You can use the theming to get wallpapers, but it will usually change a lot of other things you may not want changed. I did use theming to be able to grab a wallpaper I wanted. Revert to default and then change to the wallpaper I wanted. Good luck.

My only problem is I don't want to use a video wallpaper, if I want to use a live wallpaper from an app like Walloop I can't have it just on my lockscreen, it has to be both

Not familiar with that app, but I am an old fart that really does not do too much messing with my setup any more. Sorry. Good luck.

Yes the phone supports Live wallpapers on the lockscreen. In wallpapers and style click on my wallpapers then on the 3 dots.
How to

Install the live wallpaper app, then go to my wallpapers the three dot menu and select live wallpapers and will open where you can select the wallpapers you have installed, you can apply as lock screen and homescreen or homescreen only.
