After upgrading to A12, hide camera cutout settings seems not to work anymore (or they changed something and I can't understand how to set it)
Am I missing something or we need to wait for a fix?

On my other devices (which run AOSP kitkat roms), I can access my camera with my pattern lock still enabled. All I do is swipe the pattern to the left, and the camera UI opens. It allows me to take new photos, and review them, but doesn't allow me to access any photos that were taken before the screen locked (i.e. it's not a backdoor to get past the lock and look at all my pictures). I always loved this functionality.
On my vzw M8, I cannot replicate this functionality. If I swipe in the same way, I just get a blank page where a widget can be added. Looking through the available widget options, I don't see anything for the camera. I even installed Google Camera just to see if that would make any difference, but no.
I know that the M8's gesture functionality allows something very similar (long-press vol-down while screen is off to launch directly into camera). I'd love to use this, but the gestures are all-or-none. Since I find the other gestures problematic (double-tap to wake, for example), I have all my gestures disabled.
So is there currently a way to replicate the AOSP locked-camera functionality on this device? Or do I simply have to wait for an AOSP rom?
For what it's worth, I'm running Skyfall 1.3
EDIT - story of my life... I figure something out just a few seconds after asking a question, even though I've been trying to figure it out for days.
Turns out I can swipe down (i.e. to hide the pattern lock), which causes the camera icon to appear at the lower-right corner. Then I just need to swipe up on that icon.
Nice work, Byron
Never mind. Didn't read your post close enough I guess. I see you know about the gestures.
Hi! I'm pretty new here.
I was wondering if it is possible to move the navbar buttons in the "back", using the smart key (single press for Home, double for Multitasking ecc.) and so, by using another tweak let the Navbar disappear getting a fullscreen display? Obviously by rooting.
Anyone got some idea?
Hi there. I've done it. You need Android M with root+twrp and xposed.
Then you just need two xposed modules.
1. xposed additions- allows you to map actions to physical buttons. I've set the FPS button to: 1 click=back, long click=home, double click=multitasking and tripple click=torch on/off Worked like a charm.
2. gravitybox- allows you to make changes to the UI. Designed with AOSP launcher in mind, but some functions work with EMUI. In navbar section you can change the size (Setting heigth to 75-80% makes it look quite good, 0% will hide it - i preffered the first option, as having the navbar on was handy when the phone is just sitting on the table etc. Maybe there is a way to make it come up and disappear on demand, but i couldn't be bothered to investigate this.)
The only issue is that xposed has a little issue with emui. Sometimes the dialer crashes when trying to make a phone call. A reboot makes the issue go away for a while, but eventually it's back. I haven't found a solution to this anywhere online.
If anybody here knows how to fix the xposed & emui compatibility issue, or has a method that doesn't require xposed I'd appreciate this information too.
[HELP] Enable Front Tourch/Flash on lockscreen. Preferably like a "Quick Toogle "
I own a Samsung J7 J700T with Front Flash/Torch is there a module that I use to toggle front flash/ torch like the back flash/torch ( flashlight) cause there are apps but it doesn't work with the screen locked which is the purpose I need it to.
I trying asking/ search on the Xposed/Magisk forum with not avail
Here are some examples of apps that toggles the front flash using a button
https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...backflashlight
https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...or.torch&hl=en
UPDATED: Yes I tried using apps like Tasker but it only works with the rear flash/torch and not the front one.
So I've scoured the developer options on the phone and found a way to change the shape of the notch, but can't figure out a way to have apps go full screen. Anyone know a way to make this work?
You're in the wrong thread. 4a has a hole punch camera in the front. No notch to change the shape of or hide
Okay, apologize for the incorrect term usage here. I am using my 4a, in the Developer Options menu there is a sub-menu for "Display cutout" which is what I was able to change the "notch" as I called it. Is there a way to add to this list or to disable the display cutout in some apps?
Hello all,
The notifications icons appear greyed out (and almost invisible) on my Note10 lockscreen. Even the fingerprint marker is concerned (see screenshot).
Would you happen to know a fix as I can't find anything to turn it back to white font in the settings.
NB : can't (and rather wouldn't want to) use any Good Lock option cause I'm region-restricted plus I prefer fixing it without that.
Many thanks for your help and support.
Update : I managed to install Good Lock and LockStar (properly working) but I can't fix it either with this option.
Any clue on how I could change the color back to white?
