Stuck in EDL Mode and all partions erased please help - OnePlus 8T Questions & Answers

Hi, so I have a tmobile 8t sim unlocked and attempting to flash the international bootloader from the tmobile bootloader I have somehow gotten it stuck in edl mode, i can do a readback of the partitions using msm tool but cant flash any variant as I get a Get CID error or device image doesnt match, if i remember right i messed up the param.bin anywho when I first got the phone for situations such as this i have in the cloud a full F8 readback from rigjjt after i took it out of the box.... and when i use QFIL and open the partition manager the screen is empty. Any ideasa? I already sent it back to OP and have them fix it but in a total service meltdown they had my phone over a month and then sent it back marked repaired....Im totally stuck here

Check general discussion
There's a thread can convert T-Mobile version to EU, and you can unlock bootloader there if you want, and you can do local update back to global.
It can also fix your issue

[Help] I bricked my device

So, I ****ed up.
TL;DR: My device is locked with no way to unlock it.
Got it today, wanted to flash a ROM. So I install TWRP, all fine. I reset everything, also format, then of course my zip on internal storage is gone too. So I put it on a SD card and reboot the phone to recovery again. But I can't, because after wiping it just shows "system destroyed" or something. So I panic. Then I realize I can flash stock ROM via MI flash tool, do that, install TWRP again. But I still can't flash because the version is too low. So I decide to flash stock again, do an update and try again. But this time I forgot to turn off "clean and lock" in the MI flash tool. So now the bootloader is locked and no stock ROM is installed. So I try to use the MI unlock flash tool, add phone to account, but no, because I didn't sign it at first it won't let me unlock because "your account isn't associated with this device". And now I can't do anything.
Is there anything I can do now apart from this testpoint method? I don't really wanna take the back off, I'm afraid of breaking it. Also the next Xiami store is like 800km from me and I don't wanna send it back cause it already took 2 months here and I paid 60 euros to customs.
I would really appreciate any help you could offer me. Thanks in advance!

1. did u officially unlock bootloader?
2. can u access fastboot?
3. did u remove mi account after unlocking bootloader?
4. But this time I forgot to turn off "clean and lock" in the MI flash tool. So now the bootloader is locked and no stock ROM is installed
did you complete the flash process in MiFlash-Tool? or while flashing u plugged out usb?
If you have selected clean all & lock then your phone have booted to os, i think you locked the bootloader before flashing because bootloader lock command runs after firmware installation is complete

1. The bootloader was already unlocked as I got it.
2. I can boot into fastboot mode
3. I skipped adding it in the first place cause I never really wanted to use the stock software, it's too china for me
4. I flashed after wiping in TWRP, it "completed", as it didn't show completion but the phone rebooted to stock recovery and stayed there, displaying "this MIUI version can't be installed" or something like that.

That may be true, but maybe that's cause it didn't succeed in installing MIUI this time, see other comment to where it is now

since your phone is not associated with a mi account, u might need customer care support.
u said bootloader was already unlocked.
if u bought a used phone ask the original user for mi id+pass to unlock bootloader again

Ok since you have reached point where only a service centre visit can unlock it, I suggest you use an authorised account! I believe there are people online who accept payment in return for unlocking the bootloader (I have no idea how to find them tho, sorry)
These accounts are rare and are used by service centres to unlock bootloaders and stuff..and which TWRP did you even use? Use Peter's, the official one is **** and doesn't support decryption.

U should buy a deep flash cable or u may make it at home.(search on youtube). Clean flash stock fastboot rom from mi flash in edl (emergency download mode). It will flash successfully. Then set up a mi account ( may be cratate a new one to unlock the bl). Then give try to mi unlock tool.
Note - suggest to buy a deep flash cabel instead for home made.
U may done flashing in edl mode only because bl is locked now.
A year ago i also forget to deselect clean and lock option and locked my bl accidently but i used above method and get success.

Actually while flashing it locks the bootloader after complete installation is done, so might be you first locked the bootloader you can check the script in fastboot rom

Have you tried to unlock using mi unlock?
If the devices was unlocked officially, you should be able to unlock again immediately without asking for the permission.

The way Of xiaomi doing this is protective but stupid...and make us stupid too haha, so that's why I always tell my FD not to relock it after changing ROM...!

how we can unlock phone without test point?
Does anyone know how to solve this problem?
Hello. first of all you have to remove the back to be able to put the phone in edl mode. then you need to find someone with an account authorized to install a rom stock china for which you will have to pay. I paid $ 15. then you will need to associate the phone with your me account and unlock the bootloader. nothing else works. for a month I lost my nights trying dozens. until I paid everything was in vain. or you have the option of an authorized service, but I am convinced that it will cost you more. success.

If you're able to access to EDL mode, you should be able to flash using QFIL tools instead of MiFlash. Something like this

Please help!

It's been a while since I have tried to root a phone but I tried yesterday and after flashing twrp it got stuck in fastboot. I managed to get it out of fastboot using adb commands and getting to the stock recovery and factory resetting it. But after the factory reset I have no service, it says my radio is off. I have the T-Mobile gm1915 variant with an unlocked bootloader. I'm not exactly sure what I did but I just purchased it and I would GREATLY appreciate any help.
Just relocked the bootloader to see if that would help. It did not.
Sounds like you need to use the MSM tool. You can find that here in the forums on how to use it

General Looking for TMO to Global MSM testers

I've created a TMO to Global MSM conversion, but lack a OP9 to test with. I am looking for volunteers to help test the build.
You will lose all data, so back up everything.
Be aware that this, like any other dev project, can possibly brick you phone. If you are uncomfortable, please don't apply.
Please PM me if available.

Do you need to unlock the bootloader, and the SIM network. I tried to update ColorOS and I have already bricked it. Now this one has been replaced with more than 20 dollars, and there is no SIM unlock yet.

After I ROOT, I tried to modify the phone device information to LE2110 version, then use the ColorOS downgrade package and put it in the root directory, it can be updated, but after the update, restart the phone, only a black screen, only a slight cycle Vibration. I tried all the boot modes, but couldn't enter, including boot loader, recovery mode, flastboot mode, EDL mode, all of them could not start. It is estimated that the BOOT partition is destroyed. Try to use T-MOBILE MSM tool 9008 mode to reload. It indicates that sahara communication failed. In the end, there is no way, only to contact T-MOBILE customer service to change the phone. The customer service does not charge transportation fees, but it needs to charge 21 US dollars for the replacement of the mobile phone.
you can sim unlock for free with tmo even if you owe on the devices
just contact them on facebook /twitter/ or corporate
super easy
but o always recomand unlocking bootloader

yes! My friend's Not the TMO version can be updated to coloros! But there is no Internet! The impatient returned to Europe.
Anyway! It has been replaced with a new one! Now wait to unlock the SIM network and boot loader! Don't try it again until there are no more official coloros resources available! After the partition is destroyed, MSM tools can't save it!

Oneplus 6 Qualcomm crash dump "device state locked"

Can anyone here help me how to fix my oneplus 6 8/256gb a6003 device? Is there any way to reflash unlock bootloader on my device even my oem unlock is locked? My phone is stock rom no any modifications made.
like many even i too ugraged my op6 to oo11.1.1.1, rooted was running well for a week till i encountred face crash dump mode error
Stupid thing i did was instead of flashing fastboot oos 10.3.8 i tried to flash msm 10.3.8 which didnt solve crash dum and also locked my BL.
now nonof the msm could solve crash dump nor we can unlock BL bz we cant toggle OEM in Dev option,
i discussed with @L0ND0NB0Y regarding this, his suggestion would be to take a backup of oos10.3.8 config partation of a working rom, then use edl to flash it on affected op6, by that way we can unlock bootloader and flash fastboot rom.
we need to fide a working op6 and back config which @L0ND0NB0Y can guide us. if it works he ll creat a post to solve crashbump and BL locked issue.
if this wont work, we may need to wait for msm oos11 file.
update : managed to solve crash dump by flashing msm international 5.1.5 but ended up getting black screen with white notification light, if my op6 had BL unlocked all i had to do is to boot stock/twrp recovery and factory wipe.
same issue here my oneplus 6 is in crash dump mode and boot loader is locked msm tool not working
is there anything new that can help please
Why does a locked bootloader phone go into crash dump mode.? I'm on oneplus 6 oos 11 open beta 3, wondering whether I should move to stable 11.1. 2.2

Verizon cross to global?

Hi everybody
I'm struggling with pixel 3 OEM enabling which is already grayout and carrier locked issue
I done anything but this thing is still locked
Is there anyway to unlock it? Or cross rom to global to unlock it?
Its looks like verizon
Thanks
Unfortunately a Verizon branded Pixel is not unlockable, and it is not possible to reflash the global firmware because flashing anything requires an unlocked bootloader.
If you aren't sure it's Verizon, you can try this:
Remove the SIM
Factory reset the device
Skip through setup, make sure you connect to a wireless network
Manually set the clock 1 week ahead
Use *#*#checkin#*#* to force a checkin
Leave the device overnight and see if OEM Unlocking is toggleable
Again, if this is for sure a Verizon device, unlocking the bootloader is not possible.

Again, if this was possible, we wouldn't be having this conversation. As with most Qualcomm devices, the Pixel 3 has a QPST mode - for Qualcomm Product Support Tool. This tool is not freely available. As far as I know, it can only be used to write binary images to the chips as one might when attempting to resurrect the device; it cannot be used to dump the contents of a device. This idea has been explored before to no success. Unlocking the Verizon bootloader simply isn't possible, and there simply isn't any way around it.

You could if we had the binary files for use with QPST, but we don't. A bricked device can only be recovered by someone with both the necessary tools and binary images, which again are not available.
