Good day people, nice to meet you!
Recently my version of MIUI was updated to 13.0.3.0, and I noticed that my favorites bar changed, leaving an app out.
I don't know if I changed something earlier and it coincided with the update, but I doubt that is the case.
Anyway, my goal is to be able to choose 6 apps in the favorites bar instead of the 5 apps that I have now.
I attached photos, thank you very much!

NOW
Just use some launcher, like Nova, tons more customization options, I have 8 apps on bottom bar.

Thank you for your reply
Does using other launcher have any downside?
EDIT: Downloaded Nova Launcher but couldn't get gestures to work instead of the three buttons at bottom. Anyway I didn't really like it, I'd prefer fixing Poco Launcher, thanks
Just update Poco Launcher from apkmirror to the latest.

I use Nova and have gestures instead of three buttons, you must set it in system settings, not in Nova settings.

I take no credit for this! Thanks to TBH for bringing us Gingerbread and Fede for an awesome launcher!
I noticed that you can have the best of both worlds..... Launcher pro with the Blur app drawer. You may already know this, but it was new to me and I thought I would share. All the details are in the vid.

Where did you get that lock screen? Is that an app that replaces it or did you theme the framework apk to look like that???

It looks like Widget Locker with a theme.

It's widgetlocker
cool, I was wondering about this; thanks
BTW, this works for ADW as well. I just tried it.
I got this problem where if I try to add shortcuts to my screens (any of them) Launcher Pro crashes... (using the latest unlocked version)
Running a rooted and deodexed 2.3.3 if it makes a difference, at any rate I got around that by long pressing the screen and adding shortcuts through that menu...
Also had trouble finding the "default" app drawer icon so I took a screenshot and cropped it via photoshop...

As you can see in the screenshot, after modifying the DPI to something more realistic and not comedic, the UI adjusted perfect except it didn't center the all apps icon above the home button. I'm wondering how this could be fixed through maybe a mod or something.
I do not want a new launcher that doesn't have Google Search built in. Its not the same stock experience. Any idea what I should do?

Depends what you are trying to do. Are you trying to get more docked icons at the bottom, or the main grid on the launcher. Basically, what I did is I changed my DPI to 439 (wanted 445, but notifications get cut off in the pulldown bar). This is ideal for me and gives me an app drawer grid of 5x6. However, the launcher grid stayed the same, so I used the Launcher Tweaks settings in Gravity Box to customize the launcher grid to 5x5. Now, I still only have 4 apps in the dock tray on the bottom (plus the app drawer icon in the middle), but I do have a 5x5 grid on the homescreen. It looks like it came from the factory this way.
There's certainly enough screen real estate for at least one more row. And if they weren't spaced 25 miles apart there would be plenty of room for another column as well...
Use another, third party launcher besides the stock or Google Launcher and you can set as many rows or columns you need depending on their limits. Atom, Nova and several other launchers come to mind. I think MIUI lets you change it too.
Also just as an FYI, stick with the Q & A forum for questions as some people will remind you later om.

Are you talking about the home screen? If so, you can change the layout from 4x4 to 4x5 or 5x5

I tried Nova when I first got the phone but some of the widgets looked really crappy compared to stock, so I went back to Touchwiz. I'm not sure which is the lesser of evils between the limited folders or crappy widgets! I haven't heard of Atom launcher. I'll check it out.
Thanks!
Happy to share the result of my hard work over the past few months. Edge Launcher (previously known as Edge Quick Actions) is a fast gesture launcher and app switcher that you can access from the edge of your screen anytime.

Edge Launcher allows you to access more than a dozen quick settings and toggles, switch between recent apps very fast and open your favorite apps. All of this is done with one single touch, without lifting your finger from the screen (there is also an option to open it with a quick swipe from the edge of the screen).
This is a major update from the previous version, with card UI and nice animations, as well as material design for the app settings. I'm also working to add more functionality such as adding contacts, shortcuts and theming support!

Happy to hear your thoughts and feedback. Thanks!
cool , but i wish that there would be a sliding back animation and some other customization opinions

What kind of customization would you like to see?

maybe animations and addons like ram bar and more detailed music controls(bigger and with cover art) and widget support to place them in an empty space
I don't like the UI of the mate 8 plus I'd like to use xposed, are there any downsides of flashing stock android on the device?
I'm mostly concerned with battery life.
Where did you find stock Android? Please provide the link

Maybe I was too optimistic, I thought you could flash it on any device but apparently not No mate 8 for me then...
how long have you been using Android phones to think that? Lol

Nice home screen, what kind of widgets are there? Android weather on top? I'm still waiting for my mate 8 while using my non rooted battery eating Xperia Z5 dual sim ?
using minima pro for live wallpapers, nova launcher with marshmallow system icons (huawei stock is meh) and to bring back the app drawer (huawei doesnt have one), deleted skin folder contents in /data to get rid of the huawei stock icon backgrounds. as for the widgets (from top to bottom):
Weather & Clock Widget
DroidStats
BetterBatteryStats
Greenify Hibernation Shortcut (although not really needed, since Huawei´s system management is already pretty aggressive)
Nova Launcher customized Dock and Folders
