My Poco x3 pro has died... I was watching TikTok and has been caught, passed the black screen and reboot the screen goes blank after the logo of Poco, I can not reinstall the system or anything, it stays the same, osea lets me reinstall the system from fastboot but I can do nothing to reboot.
I add that it is version 6/128 European.

but the warranty might be over, considering it might be bought before july 2021? then will it be prohibitively expensive to the OP?

Look for a technical service in microsoldering even if it is not "authorized" as long as it has a good reputation and knowledge to do a rework to the SoC and revive your Poco X3 Pro, you can search the YT "Poco X3 Pro dead Solution" and a idea of what to do to the equipment, it should be emphasized that it is physical damage, not software

In part you are right but on the other hand you are not. I ask were you present when they "repaired" your PX3P? did you see that they raised 3 integrated circuits ram+CPU+UFS? if he left his cell phone and he was not present, maybe they only lifted 1 or 2 of the 3 components or in worse case they only did "Reflow" that's why his Poco failed again

that is probally chip reflowing, which is useful for data rescue but will not work long. the chip is not replaced and is bad so a more expensive chip replacing should be worth it.

The "Rework" job when it is done well and completely to the 3 chips does not fail, I tell you this because I have done several of those jobs the oldest 2 years ago not to PX3P but OnePlus 6T and they have never brought it to me by guarantee or because it fails again, I go back and repeat the "reflow" is not a permanent "repair", the "rework" Yes

The only 2 "chip" that can be replaced are the Ram or UFS, to replace the ram you just have to find out the type of LPDDR it is and the bandwidth, nothing else if you want you can put an 8GB instead of the of 6gb or greater capacity, for the UFS apart from knowing the type of memory, voltage that works, you have to copy absolutely all the files from the old one and copy them to the new one, but it is done with a special "reprogrammer"

Hey everyone,
recently my SC-02h (Jap Docomo version) hard-bricked and has no way to recover besides JTAG or motherboard replacement.
This made me think of an experiment.
Can you replace any motherboard (which includes all chips and the storage) with another.
I ordered the g935FD dual sim version with the Exynos chip, this compared to my QC single sim version which is currently bricked.
Hopefully within the next few days I'll receive the motherboard and start the replacement process (I will probable film it) to see if it works.
If so, anyone could replace their motherboard by a new one that is unlocked or has a different chipset.
Please discuss here if you're also interested in changing your own mobo with another.
Can't see why it won't work as the motherboard is what determines the model. Just make sure you order up a dual SIM tray too.
Motherboards from different chipsets *may* have different connections on how things wire up. I'm not saying they do, I'm just thinking out loud. I'd only buy a replacement motherboard from the same variant.
And good luck finding a new motherboard. At the price they sell for, you'd be better off buying a whole new phone.
Would like to see how this goes. Please record the process.

Yea I ordered that one, although I thought the tray looks the same (bottom part), so until my new one arrives I'll use the older one.

I checked the connections and they are the same, the only thing that differs is the sim holder and the chipset.
Also a new phone (unlocked) costs at least 2,5times more (live in Japan).

Hmm I flashed a rom with TWRP, (lineage, but wrong build) after that I rebooted and the phone stopped responding completely.
So black screen, no led when charging, no response at all when pressing buttons.
Even disconnecting battery and reconnecting didn't work.
Also no recognition in windows when connected to USB

i should be fine, just get it glued back together properly.
besides i don't really care about it.
Unless the other components (camera, vibrator motor, various sensors, OLED Panel etc.) don't differ in the way they talk to the mainboard, I don't see why it shouldn't work. As others have said, I'd really love to see how it'll work out for you. So, thanks for sharing =)
Well it didn't work out, I put in the new motherboard but the phone didn't power on at all. There is also no led when trying to charge it. I'll be sending it back to the supplier and buy another version instead.

Can you share the link of where you bought the motherboard? It might be that you bought a blank motherboard. In that case you want it to be flashed with the correct IMEI and partition (table?). AFAIK the IMEI has to be that of your previous phone since you can't just "create" a new IMEI. Don't even want to get into the legal repercussions but here's a sneak peak; in some countries it's a criminal offence to alter an IMEI or even have tools to alter IMEI. Don't quote me on this and I'm asking the community to correct me. If the motherboard comes from a previously active device, it should have its own IMEI and none of what I said before matters.
Whatever, none of that necessarily explain why it didn't boot up. Have you tried charging and plugging it to a PC? If it isn't dead, your PC should at least detect A device.

It should be one with an IMEI how else can it be unlocked.
I tried plugging it in as well, but my PC doesn't recognise it at all.
I've ordered a different one this time, this motherboard was also slightly different from the one I had (2 cables instead of 3) so it might be incompatible.
I ordered this one now: https://www.aliexpress.com/snapshot/0.html?orderId=82116420384467&productId=32737224430
Did you end up having any luck with the second motherboard?
Or has anyone else attempted this before?
I'm looking to swap my qc chip for the exynos.
How was the operation??
Hello i'm interested to know how was the experiment becouse i wanna try almost the same thing, i have a s7 sm935fd and i wanna change the motherboard for a sm935f model. Please answer me!
I am also going to try swapping motherboards. How did yours work out?
Hi @totalvamp,
I am going to try swapping out a good motherboard from a banged up sprint G930P phone with a clean IMEI into a clean, whole, G930X demo model that I picked up cheap on Ebay.
The "X" demo phones work on WIFI only. I understand that the "X" motherboards are missing the cellular radios, which is why I am trying this swap -- it should be far easier and less costly than doing a full screen&LCD replacement, which requires tearing down the entire phone, and costs about $150. Hopefullly, I will just have to remove the back, the QI receiver and I think the camera, and I'll get access to the motherboard.
My hope is that all the rest of the parts are present -- we'll see how it goes.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Philip
Hello all,
My 1 year old note 20 ultra bougth on wondamobile because it was cheaper that in my country and had the snapdragon version.
Just got this HUGE problem, i was watching a youtube video and the screen just got black all of a sudden, and for 2 days never lit up again.
I live in Europe and Samsung says they wont cover the warranty of it as it wasnt purchased in Europe.
This is completely ridiculous, the phone costed 1300 euros, top of the line.
And now all of the sudden just dies.
I have tried all the methods online and none of them works, conecting a hdmi usb c cable to the screen, the iphone conects but i can only see the hours and a lock, cant unlock the phone, even tried with a mouse and keyboard using a usb c hub and nothing works.
Anyone knows a real fix for this?
as a new screen is 400 € and i dont want to pay this value.
This never happened specialy with a high end phone.
The N20U has had some display issues... Sorry.
Likely the display, could be a connector, battery or mobo failure.
See if you have legal recourse, otherwise lean all over Samsung like a cheap suit.
In the end you may need to do it out of pocket.
Last drama free rollout from Samsung was the N10+Snapdragon (new ones still available for $800). I got a second one because of Samsung's and Android 11/12's lack luster performance.
Some don't think it's that bad...
I sure do, which why I stepped back and rejected 5G, variable rate displays, no flagships SD card slots and one of the most dysfunctional Android OS's ever released.
I'm in a holding pattern running on P and Q until the fallout settles. Minimum 1-2 years perhaps longer.
This problem also happens in the note 10, s20 and others.
The biggest issue is that its a phone from South Korea and im In Europe so the warranty isnt valid.
Was so happy with it until now. Its not the 5g, neither the Android version.
According to what i read this issue is caused due to the one ui 3.1 update.
Because if it was a screen problem the touch wouldnt even respond to touches and it does respond.
Battery was at 81 percent went this happened, and the mobo for sure is good as i can conect the phone to screen and see it like Dex problem is the phone is locked so i cant unlock it even using this option.
And once again as the screen is locked it isnt recognized by usb so no program will work to get the data out of it or try any solution using dex.
As its a version bougth in Sk when i called the assistence they say they cant even do nothing because they only get parts for European phones and that parts are diferent, but the screens must be the same in both versions what differs is the mobo.
This is giving me headaches
Are you saying the update is causing hardware failures or that the black screen is not hardware damage but a just firmware issue?
The phone was working fine.
Until with the last updates the wi fi got inconsistent and i have the best and fastrst internet in my country.
Also as in this image shows the phone does work , problem is i cant unlock it. If i could probably could reset the software.
As the screen only had a minor scratch, so it was never damaged.
Now a 1300 euros phone is just a paper weigth
If it's a firmware you may be able to pull up the boot menu... and go from there.
This is beyond my skillset but it's not a paperweight yet.
I tried it all.
Would be easy if it worked via usb or via dex.
But its stuck in it.
This is a Samsung problem on the latest phones.

Try letting it fully discharge until auto shutdown if possible.
Physically disconnect the battery, hard reset.
Try some Google searches to find more options.
You might need to pay a repair shop or Samsung to fix it.
It wont shut down. Its like this for 2 days
Removing the battery will be dificult also.
Yeah its going to cost 400 euros for a phone npw worth near 900 or less altough its unlocked.
Will never buy a flagship again.
You don't need to remove the battery, just disconnect it. Watch a tear down vid.
You need a heat gun or pad, anhydrous isopropyl alcohol to help break the rear cover adhesive, plastic picks and perhaps some drivers maybe not. A new OEM rear cover seal.
A good phone repair shop can easily do this for you. Start there and see what you got.
The QC was solid on the N10+ Snapdragon but less so after especially on the S21U.
If the display needs to be replaced that should be the end of your problems with it.
Not perfect but what are you gonna do?
With Samsung, all phones it's best to wait 6 months and see what crops up. Otherwise it's more of a gamble.
I was indeed going to buy the note 10 plus back then but then i saw the n20 and all the advertisement and let myself into the hype.
Even bougth first a oneplus 8 pro but it got stolen in spain and i was refunded
Well going to try for one more day and see if it comes back to life, wich seems like a dream rigth now.
In last case will try a techician but its going to be expensive as this is a korean phone in europe.

May not be as bad as you think.
Shop around. Getting the right replacement parts is critical. I know on the 10+ the C port pcb, cam module, and obviously the mobo are different and not interchangeable, not sure about the display!
Lol, found out the hard way with the C port pcb, there are 2 variants for the Snapdragon! My C port wasn't bad but was replacing the battery so decided to do the C port for $20 more. No cell service, no internet... put the original one in, back in service. Rather irritating
Ricky tricky Sammy...
This seems to be a design fault so Wonda should honour a repair or replacement. I would pursue it with them.
I also have a N20U SD HK version bought from them but it's only 6 months old.
I take it their warranty is just one year then?
Yes its only one year. And i bougth last october
And the problem is that i live in europe, wonda mobile is from china.
I dont know if its a design flaw or update problem as the phone magicaly started to work witouth the screen theme i had but i puted it down and the screen once again went off.
The phone was working back again for 10 minutes and black out again.
So the screwn migth be good.
I got a message saying the one ui stoped working when i used dex.
Dex mode with a usb c hub now works, but i cant put the phone back to stock while in dex.
Its in portuguese language but what it says in the message is that a one ui error happened.
This after the screen black out again.
In dex i cant put firmware back to stock but can update the firmware.
This is just stupid a 1300 phone with a faulty screen or software problem.
Cant figure it out. As the touch isnt working while is conected to dex, only worked using a mouse and keyboard.
But the touch worked when the screen went back on even for 10 minutes.
So if it works on dex it cant be mobo or battery.
If its the screen i will be 400 euros in pain.
Who would guess this n20 purchsee on wonda mobile would be a nigthmare

When I said hardware I was implying the display.
It still could be a loose/bad connector as well.
The mobo's not entirely ruled out yet but a less likely candidate.
This seems to have happened to a lot of other people too, and some of them have said the display has come back on.
Samsung need to get a grip and offer some advice to affected cusomers.
For sure it seems the display is gone.
Samsung would replace the screen if it was bougth in Europe amd the screen had no damage.
Mine has a minor scratch and a very small mark due to a drop.
Anyway seems there wont be any fix, as the crap screen only worked for 10 minutes so no hope for it to be back on again
Samsung never again

Go to system settings>display, see if you have a setting called "Accidental Touch Protection" and if it is enabled. That feature could be activating and then freezing the screen when you try to turn it back on.

Hi there! What was the answer or Solution by technicians? Did they solved the problem?
Hi all there! As I see this issue is the same that A52 has. It's a typical factory problem that could be solved charging the main flex. That's the definitive Solution !
I have the same problem with my A72 (A725f)XID
Any solutions
I tried downgrading it didn't help
Changing the screen of flex also doesn't help
So it's a software problem
But any solutions???
I have the same problem. It seems that all A72 series are affected by this problem. The flex cable appears to be problematic. Almost every Samsung product I purchased had issues. So, never again Samsung.
Sorry for late reply for all questions above. My A72 was not even a year old it was sended to numerous shops from Samsung to the cheap Pakistani shops and it is Un repairable they said that there might Me a chance to repair it if I replace the main board but to find one is very scarce and a new one is almost the price of a new device.
To me personally I will never get a Samsung again my next upgrade will be Huawei,Google pixel or a Xiaomi or anything else I do think that the better devices like Samsung galaxy S22,S21FE and Z fold won't have problems like the A72 or A52 or there was just a big bach of manufacturing that went wrong.
But do let me know if you guys got it fixed in any way maybe I can have a try to fix mine then but to replace part for part and hope that it will be fixed is a expensive route to go.
No just make sure your next samsung is from the European or North /South american market
Then you won't have no issues

You are lucky it is not expensive here in South Africa every thing is expensive if I take a guess it will be around R400, my phone acted actually weird because it started to have unresponsive screen restarted the device then will work for a few seconds then will have the same problem, sometimes my network signal will totally disappear and there will be two round sircles, sometimes when I charge my device it will show the phone is overheating even though the device was not even on for a while other times it will show the charging port is wet I can't think that the flex cable will cause all that problems

So in 15 aug 2022, my poco x3 pro (which i had used for 4 months?) died out of nowhere (edl - no charge light) and warranty changed motherboard (all data is gone :/). This is already my last xiaomi phone ever but I may use it for now.
My question is: after the motherboard change, is this chip issue that caused mine and many other peoples' poco x3 phones to hard brick fixed or still present, waiting to detonate one day again?
and if i unlock bootloader to backup stuff, would it void warranty?

Unlocking the bootloader does not void the warranty.
For the rest, I do not know.

If they changed your motherboard you will have the same problem over time, the long-term solution is to have a rework "reballing" done, that is a permanent solution
Hi, I have a problem with the main rear camera of my xiaomi poco x3 pro, it has broken and has been replaced by an original one from another xiaomi poco x3 pro. But when trying to open the camera application, it closes automatically and an error appears (I attach an image).
I have carried out the tests of the main camera and it works, but the image appears almost in sepia mode, there are very few colors.
I have tried to restore and flash the smartphone but it is still the same. I have also tried a camera application from the playstore (open camera) and it works but the image appears in sepia mode with very few colors.
Can you help me? Any ideas?
Thank you.

I have searched this forum and there are several users who have experienced the same thing, but there is no answer with a solution. This would be the link:
Camera problem
Hi guys, I have a problem with my camera, it doesn't work anymore in aosp and in miui it only opens in video recording mode and with monochrome colors, on gcam everything works, but with monochrome colors too, I've done everything I could imagine...

I can try to find another store, because I was already in a store and they verified that the motherboard was correct and the cameras that I bought also work ok, and in that store they don't know why the error occurs.
In any case, something strange happens, because if I put back the original camera that I have damaged, the camera application works ok and the error does not appear, but that camera is damaged and does not focus correctly, so I want to replace it with another one that I have bought, but the error that I indicate occurs.

I think 6/128 and 8/256 variants have different cam modules
you need to pair it up together to make it work

hi, correct. The cameras of the 8/256 version are different. My smartphone model is version 6/128 and the cameras I'm testing are from another 6/128 x3 pro with a damaged motherboard.
In the image the camera above is mine defective. The camera below is the one that works and I bought.
