This is something the seller has to sort out.
Did you already asked him about updates? Firmware and MCU?

I think you might have a look into this sub forum: https://forum.xda-developers.com/f/fyt-android-head-units.12445/
There SC9853i units are hosted.
I informed a mod to move this thread.

Does anyone have a stock boot.img for the FRD-L14?

I stupidly flashed the wrong boot.img and i'm stuck in a boot loop. Anyone have or know where to find the right one?

I don't think you can still check sadly...
Maybe the boot.img doesn't change through the firmwares but i'm not sure about this...
I would suggest you to do a rollback to get to the stock firmware
But wait, maybe a more competent person will have a better solution for you.
By curiosity were on Android 6.0 or 7.0?

Android 7.0. Will doing a rollback wipe data?
Yes, doing a rollback will wipe all your data...
I guess your phone was up to date?

It was emui 5.0 and Android 7.0, so yes.
I have the date of manufacture on the box, could that help finding the firmware?
Ok. So try this one and tell me if it worked

Didn't work :/
Sadly, I expected it a bit...
What you need to do is to find the latest firmware for your phone (supposingly your phone was up to date) and then extract the boot.img with HuaweiUpdateExtractor.
Otherwise you need to do a rollback and get back to stock firmware...
Also you can wait for someone with better acknowledge than me to help you.
Good luck!

Hi:
This is an old post, but just curious about the firmwares for frd-l14 at romfirmware.com. Is it a trustworthy site? Seems a little sketchy. Wanted to make sure before I download anything.
Thanks

Does anyone have a newer Firmware or MCU versions?

A backup of MCU, how.
@marchnz no clue I thought it should be possible to do some kind of backup copy...
Any other solution? Should i give HA a try?
EDIT: Background, I want to update from Android 9 to Android 10 and install Hal9k. But what I did was to downgrade my V3.30_a1 to V2.94... Don't ask me why I thought it is higher that my previous version
If everything works for you, then I do not recommend crossing the MCU. Try to write to the seller, maybe your update will send you. You can find everything about Crossing MCUs here, if you don't find a suitable type of MCU, then you can lose more than you gain. I recommend using the search engine and you will find a few HZC users:
MTCD - Verified Cross compatible MCUs
This thread is to document MCUs found to be cross-compatible between MTCD units, which includes PX3 and PX5 variants, which share identical mainboard hardware and MCU Chip STM32F091. The following MTCD & MTCE (as of v2.56) MCUs have been...

PX6 RK3399 MCU MCTP JP??

I'd like to ask the gods on XDA if they've seen my PX6 model?
I can't find the relevant MCU on the Internet
I asked the installation shop
But they're just agents
They don't have the relevant software for me to use
My current experience with Hal9k Mod v4 ROM is good
I wonder if I can update the MCU? Or upgrade the Android 10 system

This is the first MTC(P) I've seen, it's and MTCD unit. Refer MTCD sub forum.
What is your need to change the software or MCU code? What do you want to achieve.

Thank you for your reply, I want to know if I can update the MCU version? I can't find related posts and software to update MTCP JP V3.12_1
Maybe the MCU version firmware software is higher than 3.5?
I don't know
Or update to Android 10. Which ROM should I use is compatible or correct?

I couldn't find a JP MCU either. Any of the MTCD/E/P RK3399 Android ROMs will work.
I wouldn't change the MCU unless there's an issue.
If you must update MCU, you might check with the reseller. An option could be, with at least a copy of the same revision JP MCU, to try another MCU such as GS or HA. Take a config export first.
See the MCU cross compatibility thread.

Question I can't upgrade Android to my Joying FYT 6025

Good day to everyone.
I've been using FYT 6025 for about a (1) year, but nothing is done.
Can't get Android update. I cannot control anything on the device. I can't even change the interface. I would like all your help and support regarding this matter.
I bought my device from a company called Ava (https://www.arabaniakillandir.com/) in Turkey. I've always had a problem since the day I bought it. This AVA system made my car stupid instead of smarter.
. Please help.
a bit vague there. Are you just looking to upgrade android?
Android updates would have to come from the vendor via firmware upgrades.
Just android upgrade is enough. I looked at https://www.joyingauto.com/blog/ but couldn't find it. I would be very happy if you help.

is this the firmware you're looking for?
I also have this FYT6025 HU however cannot find any information about it. Appreciate if someone can send the link to download firmware for it.
Thanks
The SC8830 and SC7731 are really low-cost units. They might be made by FYT but I do not know any firmwares for it.
The SC7731 should be almost 100% compatible with the sc9853i. I have no idea about the SC8830.
Sorry, above statement is incorrect.

No, that is not possible anymore. This one is so old.
You could take a look at the Joying website here https://www.joyingauto.com/blog/tag/joying-intel-sofia-android-car-stereo-software-update/
but I think it is just as old and if you don't have a Joying you need to tweak the firmware first.

It is written on the bottom bezel of your unit. If it is not there it is not a Joying.

Yes, but you need to tweak it. So use my HWGetInfo.apk to get the required data from your unit first.
I don't know how to do with this application HWGetInfo.apk
am I going to install it on the car radio?

This is a long time ago when talking about units, and many others have already passed the scene.
Your unit has a manufacturer id of 63, so it is definitely not a Joying.
In the time of the Sofias in quite some firmware version they delivered an MCU update as well with it and the firmware updates were dependent on that specific MCU version. You were sometimes more or less obliged to do one firmware flash, before you could do the next.
That has evolved a lot over the several newer units. Nowadays you only have to look at screen rotation (Joying), manufacturer id and bluetooth system. That is very easily tweakable and therefore irt is possible to almost flash any FYT 7862 firmware to another FYT 7862 firmware.
Not in the days of your Sofia. It will be quite risky to flash a non-branded unit with a Joying firmware where we are not sure about the MCU. And it will take time to find that out. And if your MCU is not compatible and first need to be upgraded with several other versions, you can't even do it.
Your firmware is from 26 October 2017. That latest Joying one is of 26 January 2018.
There can't be much of a difference. I would leave it as it is.
I would not spend many hours on such an old unit (and certainly not my hours).
Please accept it or buy a new unit.
If I had to spend 2 or 3 hours in "real work time" on it, you could very easily buy a new one.
So sorry, but it stops here for me.
