Question [Question] Proximity Sensor crashed? - Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G (peux)/POCO X4 Pro 5G (veux)

Hi there,
My device is actually a plain Redmi Note 11 and I have this very annoying issue:
My proximity sensor does not work, so when I cover the top it dim a little but that's all.
I must add that I installed Magisk to root my device so it might be related
The system Proximity Sensor test pass nevertheless
I saw in quite a few posts on Internet that there are issues with this part as Xiaomi actually implement digital mock-up from Elliptic Labs.
Is there a thread / walkthrough to help solve that issue? The threat is that it might shorten my phone life quickly
Thx for reading and any help greatly appreciated
Kindest regards

[Completed] S4 i9505 cm 12.1 airview sensor is stuck on

So one day the icon for airview sensor came up and never disappeared, it's destroying my battery and is annoying and I don't know how to turn it off. It also interferes with my gestures app (gmd gestures) and I really need those
Anyone know what the problem might be or how can I fix it / disable the hardware?

[PE-TL10] Honor 6x gyro offset?

Hello,
My Honor 6x (EMUI 3.1) has always a gyroscope offset of about 90° left (sometimes 180° too)... does it happen to anyone else?
The Google instructions to recalibrate gyroscope (tilting and rotating phone) often works, anyway it is quite annoying to do it multiple times, especially while in navigation mode.
I have a silicone cover, so nothing metallic/magnetic which could create issues on gyro.
Please let me know if this is a known issue on this device and if there is a stable solution/workaround for that.
Thank you!

[Completed] Overly Sensitive Touchscreen

Hi Team
I have several issues that can all be solved with one solution(i think)
I have an overly sensitive touchscreen my phone is an InnJoo Fire Pro(MTK)
So on lollipop with access to the toggles it keeps switching stuff off, and on Hi Locker it keeps entering wrong patterns and codes I have had my phone locked for 30 mins its mostly 15.
I have installed gravity screen to shut screen but it seems I have to caliburate the Proximity Sensor since it dosent work like 60% of the time.
Please help prefarably on the access to toggles on lollipop(default lockscreen does not lock me out). But also if there is another app that works better to lock screen when in pocket or caliburate my Proxi Sensor
My Phone is rooted
Forgot to add the proxy sensor and touch screen is an issue when on a call my face changes all the toggles
Regards

Trying to disable the proximity sensor on the Zenfone 7

Hey everyone!
I'm kinda obsessed with solving this issue right now. I've been told that the proximity sensor on My ZF7 won't ever work again due to a cpu issue (replacing the sensor wouldn't do a thing) so I'm trying to disable it so I can flip the camera without it displaying as "obstructed".
I've been following this reddit post:
https://www.reddit.com/r/zenfone6/comments/hw1r5z
It's exactly my problem, but the difference is that op had a zenfone 6. I ran the same command as him in Termux with no success (file or directory not found).
I think it may be that the code changes from the ZF6 to the ZF7, but don't know exactly how. Maybe the driver name for the proximity sensor is different? I'll attach some screenshots. Thank you all!

Asking for a favor from anyone in the Zenfone 7/7 Pro community

Hey! I'd like to ask a favor from someone with a Zenfone 7 in their hands. Could you tell me the driver name of your proximity sensor? You can check it by using Sensor Box (free on the playstore).
I'm asking for this because it seems my phone doesn't even recognise the driver and it just displays as ASUS Proximity Sensor, opposedly to other sensors that display their true name. Maybe I'm tripping and that's just it's real name, but I'm almost sure it had a different name before the sensor started malfunctioning.
I'll attach a couple screens. Thank you in advance.
Here's some screenshots from a borrowed Zenfone 7 Pro, as you can see it's named the same.
To be sure we don't suffer the same fate I did some tests to confirm that sensor is working.
@zcrubby Thank you! Indeed your sensor works well. I'll keep trying to figure out where to find the root folder of the proximity sensor driver to disable it, since I was able to get sensor disabler functioning but didn't do the trick with the proximity sensor. Would you let me know if you know something? Much appreciated!

Any luck in disabling the proximity sensor? I have a strange bug wherein every restart of the device causes the first instance of the camera to flip upside down and come up with the camera obstruction error. But once you click ok several times it's fine.
