Don't rub on it too hard, especially around the edges. The microfiber cloth that comes with it is more durable.
For anyone else buying a third-party protector -
If the protector is larger than the original (such as this one), make sure to clean the edges of the screen well before trying to apply the new one. Film protectors have a tendency to leave a ring of residue that isn't always easily seen, but will give the new protector a nice white frame. There is no coming back from that without starting over.

My screen protectors were quickly wearing off, and I was having similar problems. I chose to remove it myself and replace it with third-party protection. It was completely safe and I recommend investing in those protectors that are simple to apply and remove without leaving any residue.

Received Official Samsung Screen Protectors (Made in Korea by Samsung); I personally don't see why I should be spending this much on PET film, when there are better ones costing cheap! These Samsung PET's costed me $20 dollars including shipping. I haven't opened the item because its going back to where it came from, lol. :good:
What are your thoughts?
Sorry, I dont get it. Why is it not worth it?
It's unnecessarily expensive. These screen protectors serve temporary protection. Then after all the grime accumulates, you take it off and toss in the trash. You might as well buy something more permanent such as a tempered glass screen protector.
Also, eBay sells dozens of PET film screen protectors, some which are of very decent quality. Xtreme_Guard is selling a 6-pack for only $2.49. Definitely worth it.

I see, got it. Here in our country it cost ~$13.
Why buy it in the first place if its too expensive?
Lol, the order was placed by accident and wasn't able to cancel prior to shipping. I don't know what Samsung is trying to get out of this; but not all your accessories have to be made by Samsung. Here's what I purchased along with the Note 4:
- Mini Wireless Charging Pad (Samsung)
- Otterbox Defender (Black) with Holster
- Zagg HDX and Glass (Note 4)
- A Dozen or So Screen Protector Pack from eBay (for Backup)
- Skinomi Techskin (Clear) for the Note 4
- Pouch
There were additional things I purchased, but later realized how unnecessary it was, and returned them.

How on earth you ordered them by mistake, haven't used them and you can say they does not worth it?
I've bought mine for $9 and I'm going to apply one of them tomorrow and will have real opinion.
And 2 other things - it is Samsungs accessory and it is normal to cost more. And TGP are having halos, so this is an option for protecting your screen.
Please change the threat topic - it is misleading.
I have one applied (the package comes with two) and I'm quite satisfied. Fit is good, smooth to touch, s-pen glides over it... I like it. Can't say about durability because I only have it for a week.
the real question is, does samsung official screen protector actually cover the whole screen with no halos? I'm curious to see if they actually made a screen protector that covered the whole screen knowingly making a curved screen.

Since these are plastic film screen protectors, of course it doesn't cover the entire glass. It's impossible with this type of protector. The only kind that can currently do that are the wet apply rubber style protectors.
My current Phone is a Note 4.
I have always used Spigen screen protectors. The one on my Note 4 was applied almost 2 years ago and it only has minor scratches.
I noticed Spigen doesn't currently have a screen protector for the Note 7. Should I wait ? If not, is there a good alternative ?
Also the screen is curved. Does this mean the screen protector peels off from the sides ?

I ordered this after seeing a review on the best screen protectors on Phone Arena. It looks like the one in the photo unlike the posted review said in this link. I bought this before the review was posted, and when the phone arrives I will see how it fits. My only worry is if it will interfere with the Unicorn Beetle pro Case that I have.

+1 for the Skinomi's , but on my Note Edge, i had that orange-like surface on the screen when looking from an angle!
I ll go for the IQ shield when i receive my phone. Had good experience in the past with it.

The Note 7 will be my first curved screen phone (upgrading from an S5) and I plan to get either an Otterbox or Spigen case for it. I had a screen protector for my GNex and hated it! Is a screen protector really necessary (or more necessary than non-curved screens)? Other than "necessity" what advantages do screen protectors add? I'm looking for some honest feedback since I have zero experience with curved phones.

I have 6 cases so far with a bunch more in the way. Mainly from lesser known brands but I think some will do a great job.
Their is a myriad to try out. I used Versus Thor on my Note 4 & Versus Neo Hybrid (their frame is aluminum vs Spigen had plastic frame).
3 Screen protector kits (not tempura glass)
Skinomi
ArmorSuit

Will share my results. After seeing that gorilla glass 5 scratch test on YouTube, I definitely want something. It's such a pain. Why can't they make something super difficult to scratch?

So those of you that have experience with the Skinomi HD Clear screen protectors, I have a question for you. I bought this case for my phone:
Galaxy Note 7 Case, Spigen® [Rugged Armor] Resilient [Black] Ultimate protection from drops and impacts for Samsung Galaxy Note 7 (2016) - (562CS20403) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01GIUIFEI/ref=cm_sw_r_sms_apa_oNyTxbE3YE34X
Now this case is pretty minimal. Meaning it isn't very bulky and doesn't add a ton of protection. So with that being said, would the full coverage protector work or do I still need to go with the case friendly version? I'd appreciate any advice.
I had to get case friendly screen protectors for my S7 edge, pretty much all of my cases would lift the screen protector. I used IQshield and Skinomi full coverage on my S7 edge.
I also have the full coverage IQshield for the Note 7 and it's not installing very good. The edge is smaller on the Note 7 so the sides keep popping up. I have an Armorsuit case friendly that I will try soon.
I got the official screen protector with my note7 today at my local samsung store along with a bunch of other goodies in a cheap bundle.
the screen protector is film and not glass, but it's not flimsy, and is already pre-shaped to cater for the curve. it came with two in one pack.
the application was easy enough, as it came with dust stickers and a surprisingly high-quality hard-card with soft felt hemming on it for pushing out air bubbles.
it covers around 90% of the front glass panel, but still covers the whole display area itself, and reaches around the curves too, and is inconspicuous when put on properly.
definitely happy with it and will stick with this one until a really good quality curved glass protector comes out.

I believe there was a slight gap on my last Spigen one (on GW1). It was very slight and I did not have an issue with it. Doesn't there have to be a slight gap so it can be removed?
I'm looking for one from Amazon US that fits the 46mm Classic with minimal or non-existent border gap. The Amazon availability date for the majority protectors listed, pre-date the Watch 4 release date and some of the reviews mention a 1mm border gap.
I went with the Supershieldz screen protector. No guide and kind of a pain to get it on centered. It took 2 for me. It also has a small bubble literally at the edge of it that won't go away. NOT impressed...

Going to try something else I guess.
I am a klutz so I figured that I needed to something on my GW4C as soon as possible. Rather than waiting to all of the first hand reviews I just picked one that looked decent.
The one I picked was: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09BFD6MVN/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
It is solid rather than film, installation was easy, it passes my inspection. Touch is not degraded, and I feel much better that it is there than I did when it was not...
Another vote for the Suoman brand. Here is the link for the 42mm version

One note/negative is that these fit all the way to the edge, no gap for dirt to get trapped. I kind of mentioned it as a negative as at first I thought one of them was scratched near the edge. Ripped it off and put on a second one only to find out it was just that it wasn't adhering near the edge. Had to rub and press hard for it to finally adhere. Now it looks stock, like there isn't even a protector on it. It came with 4 in the pack so still have 2 more in the event I ever need it but doubt it as my Gear 2 still has the original protector I put on long ago.

Hey all,
I picked up some glass screen protectors to hide an existing scratch and prevent future scratches. The only issue I have is that it's not a perfect fit. There's a slight gap around the edges which results in the display's light being slightly refracted around the perimeter. It's quite distracting when viewing content with white or other light-colored backgrounds.
Has anyone found a tempered glass protector that covers the entire display of the 46mm GW4 Classic, from edge to edge?
Thanks in advance!

Unfortunately, the one you recommended is even smaller than the one I had installed. Doesn't come close to reaching the edges of the display. While I must admit that I'm no longer seeing the type of annoying light refraction that I was getting with the previous protector, viewing the watch from certain angles is pretty annoying because it's very easy to see where the tempered glass protector ends, leaving a weird gap between the display and bezel. Oh well. I appreciate the effort
Sorry about that. It really does not bother me and the glass is crystal clear. That is the main part I was looking for. Also like the protector for the watch body. Hope you do find one that is a closer fit to what you want.

The fit is perfect! The protectors (2 are included) come attached to guide trays that are perfectly molded to fit the shape of the GW4. This makes it impossible to screw up the placement and alignment of the protector. The fit is flawless, covering the entire display from edge to edge. No gap. Can't even tell it's installed.

No. I tried it and, while it does fit nicely, it makes rotating the bezel really difficult.

Has anyone found any good tempered glass? UK owner here.
I have the Spigen - Samsung Galaxy S23 Plus Screen Protector GLAS.tR EZ Fit (2-pack). The fingerprint reader takes a major hit with glas protector vs with naked. But it works alright if you don't have super dry fingerstips. I do have Samsung's own plastic screenprotectors waiting on the side. I hear they work well with the fingerprint reader.
I have the glas paired up with the Spigen Ultra Hybrid Case Compatible with Samsung Galaxy S23 Plus 5G - Black. It's a great combo.
So it's better to just stick with the TPU protectors to avoid problems with the fingerprint scanner?
You need to delete your finger prints and reregister after installing a glass screen protector otherwise it won't work very well

That's true, but still the fingerprint won't work nearly as good as without a screen protector glas. Fingertip must be a little bit moist for it to work well. If it's dry, it won't work at all. I'm tempted to remove this and test out the Samsung's own plastic screen protector.
Don't forget....

That is the way with the ultrasonic sensors, they don't like glass protectors. On the other hand, they are faster and better (most of the cases) with plastic protectors or without protection. On the other, other hand...they suck with dry fingers. My wife can't use the reader on s22 at all and for me it is lightning fast.

had no issues with the fingerprint on mine, although ive not got a protector on yet. I might not bother as i really like this phone without one.
I don't pay more than £10 for TG but since Samsung struggles with it, I may get the Spigen one

I got X glass from Gadgetshieldz which is really good and sticks well to the screen. This glass protector covers edge to edge which is what I expect in tempered glass and it is smudge-free too, also good with the fingerprint sensor as I tested it out as many times as possible!

I'm using the AmFilm tempered glass myself. Works really well. Initially, it was a bit spotty after I put it on, but then I just deleted and readded my fingerprints and it works super fast. I also really liked the applicator kit that came with this. It has a HUGE dust remove sticker that covers the whole screen, so my application is crystal clear.

The only time it hiccups is when my fingers are either really wet or really dry - and TBH, that's no different than how the scanner worked before the screen protector was applied.
I don't know if they have Best Buy in the UK, but I picked up their brand of tempered glass. It was 2 for $15 USD. Other than a tiny bubble on the left side you can only see when the screen is all white, I'm really happy with it. It also seems to be staying pretty clean. My fingers don't smudge it up too badly. I almost paid $40 for the Zagg but decided to give the Best Buy brand a shot. So far so good.
I use the spigen ones as well and have for multiple devices over the years. I like their camera lens protectors also. Amazon prices are much cheaper than their website prices.
