One plus 7 pro usb drivers? - OnePlus 7 Pro Questions & Answers

I am trying to unlock my bootloader (first time doing so) on my one plus 7 pro to get pixel experience 12 working. adb commands work well but once i'm in fastboot/recovery mode, my phone isn't recognized in the fastboot devices list, i assumed this was a driver issue since I have yet to find a working driver (my phone doesnt show up properly in the device manager) but the issue might come from some other source, here are the things i did and tried :
I am using a Windows 11 intel pc, plugged into both usb 2 and 3 ports since i have seen that people found different results with usb 2, i tried installing the drivers from android sdk platform tools from where I manually installed different drivers in the device manager since there wasn't a One plus specific driver(adb composite, android adb), none of which managed to be successfully installed. All of the instances of people finding drivers online either led me to expired links or a shady looking exe., i also tried using the all in one tool but installing drivers from there only returned "unable to install drivers", and unlocking the bootloader through it had the same result as when i tried manually, that is "waiting for device" after entering fastboot oem unlock.Any idea where i can find a driver for my phone?

Update : I used another pc, an amd laptop and used the tool all in one made by @mauronofrio and it worked perfectly, saving me from hours of trying things, so thank you for that!

I usually avoid this drama by disabling driver signature before installing OnePlus drivers on windows 11. Always works.

[Q] Can't unroot: ADB doesn't work in bootloader mode, but works in debug mode

The phone is unlocked, with clockworkmod recovery 6.0.1.0 and stock rooted 4.1.1 ROM.
I'm using Windows 7 x64 SP1.
When the phone is ON and the debug mode is activated, it shows correctly under "device manager" and adb works right, but when I reboot in bootloader ADB doesn't see any attached device even if it shows correctly under device manager.
I tried to update the USB driver of the Android SDK but dosn't work
I then uninstalled it and tried to install the Universal Naked Driver (almost all of the nexus or samsung types) but doesn't work
I uninstaleld it and tried another USB driver found on the forum but doesn't work.
I tried to install Android SDK on another PC with Windows 7 x86 SP1 and repeat all the steps but it's the same.
How can I unroot and lock the device if it doesn't shows when in bootloader mode?
You don't use adb in bootloader. You use fastboot.
Locking the bootloader does not unroot by the way.

Have you tried the Nexus Root Toolkit by WugFresh? It is an application that takes you in several easy steps in installing drivers, rooting, and lock/unlock your device. For installing drivers there are several additional steps when installing them seems unsuccessful.

This is true, I've used Wugfresh toolkit too but I had some problem...
I've Nexus S 9023, with wug toolkit I had no problem to install driver with its very complete guide, this part can solve your problem but make attention on other function, for example with it I've also unlocked my phone but when I tried to root my device freeze.
So maybe that not all toolkit function will work well on all Nexus S.
Please stop with this toolkit nonsense.
Its not a driver issue at this point. Its the user using ADB instead of fastboot.
Remove this and that when he is just using the wrong command. This is the nonsense you see when all people know is some toolkit.
Yeah, I'm an idiot, that was not a driver issue
it's just because I usually root/unroot/unlock/lock my android phones once in a while (when I first buy and when I sell them), so I always forget some basic procedures and searching through the forums is always a mess, I spent three hours doing that, before posting...
I had forgotten ADB and fastboot weren't the same... anyway, I solved with WugFresh (I didn't know it, thanks for the tip) but I could have solved even with plain fastboot commands, I know
Anyway, I'm surprised to realize that the real stock ROM is more stable than the rooted and deodexed stock ROM I was using before, now the 3G/2G/airplanemode swithing is blazing fast and the performance drops on some games are gone... I'll never figure out this Android world
Thanks for all your help :victory:

Fastboot not recognising OnePlus 6

So here's the background: I have a OnePlus 6, which I had rooted previously. I accidentally updated it without first patching the boot image, so it's not rooted now.
In an attempt to root it again, I need to use fastboot. However, whenever I use
adb reboot bootloader
it reboots the phone to fastboot mode, as expected, but then
fastboot devices
displays nothing. I find this extremely strange, because I have used fastboot commands before on both my windows machine and on my Linux machine (though I recently switched distros and have a new installation on there, so it may be missing some driver or something).
I have tried looking for any necessary drivers (I saw that sometimes usb drivers are different from fastboot drivers, but I don't know if that's the case regarding OnePlus) but after installing everything I found, it still doesn't work.
I have also tried running adb as root (on Linux) and as administrator (on Windows) but neither worked.
I tried to use Tool All In One to root it for me, but it seemed to run into the same problem. It wouldn't detect the phone in fastboot mode.
I'm absolutely baffled as to why this may be; Anyone know why this happens or what I may do to fix it?
I had the similar issue last week when adb command of fastboot devices would not identify the device. I used the fastboot ROM method to reflash the stock rom and everything worked fine afterwards including fastboot devices command identifying the device correctly. Needless to say, it would delete everything on your phone. Here is the link:

Good luck!!
Fastboot version
Update your fastboot, maybe it's an old version.
Also check your device manager and see if the phone is listed there. Sometimes it's necessary to disable driver signature check in Windows 10. Also install the driver before you use your commands - some users reported that for some reason the driver or connection is lost after windows reboot.
A) Check fastboot drivers/reinstall them (adb and fastboot use different drivers). You might want to check if there are unknown devices in your Windows device manager, or the name of the device once fastboot mode is engaged and you plug the cable
B) Plug it in another USB port (less likely to be the problem, since ADB actually works)

OnePlus 6 not recognized by Fastboot

I can clearly see this is not the first thread that the device is not recognized in Fastboot mode. I have tried almost all sensible options I found so far, still no luck.
OP6, updated to the latest build, Oxygen OS 10.3.6, Build number OnePlus A6003_22_201004
I have Pixel XL that works flawlessly (adb as well as fastboot) on the same machine with the same cable and USB port.
- Trying to unlock the bootloader.
- Got the latest Platform Tools, to be sure that I have the latest versions
- Downloaded OnePlus 6 drivers from OnePlus website
- Installed WinUSB drivers using Zadig (https://zadig.akeo.ie/), thinking I am too stupid to be able to install simple drivers
- Disabled Windows 10 driver signature verification, in case thats an issue.
- Installed systemwide ADB and Fastboot using Minimal adb and fastboot.
Screenshots before and after putting the phone in Fastboot mode.
AFTER
The device goes from OnePlus to Android.
Tried updating the driver using the Update Driver option using usb_driver_r13-windows.zip file. It claimed already has updated drivers.
What else is left for me to try? I am considering to factory reset the phone, just in case anything is messed up after the latest update last week.
Thanks a lot for scratching your head for me. Appreciate all help.
Use usb 2.0 port or using usb hub

Stuck on drivers

Hey so like i have a problem. It\s seems to be to simply impossible to get any drivers to work, i tried everything google drivers, sdk ,drivers that come on phone and drivers from some random websites. Nothing works, tried both w10 and linux ubuntu. On my older pc i had 0 issueas other than simply doing something dumb.
Im out of ideas, help? Also tried with sony z5 premium instead of my nokia 7 plus but same thing -_-
Sidenote:fastboot device from phone drivers kinda works(?) But still im not able to do anything because im stuck on waitig on devices when i want to flash
To manage an Android phone from PC you at least need
1. ADB - provided by Google
2. FastBoot - provided by Google
3. Android-USB-driver provided by OEM/Carrier matching your phone
and nothing else.
Have all of those and im stuck on waiting on devices after i reboot to bootloader. Seriously annoying maybe i will try on other pc and see what happens but its not really a solution
If your phone supports Fastboot - take note that not all phones do - then when Fastboot returns "Waiting for device" it's a driver problem: Install correct driver.
True but as i wrote official drivers don't work it's on the phone after all. Rest doesn't work too then . Heh

Redmi Note 7 Pro, fastboot not recognized by PC

Hello,
Had the phone for 2 years, and I was using a Google Pixel UI. I had some problem with phone auto rebooting while not in use. So I decided to install MUI, but I forgot its only in Chinese without google play.
So I have tried to install the TWRP recovery, but the fastboot is not recognized by the computer.
I have tried Xiaomi Poco X3, and fastboot its working fine on it. So its not issue with the cable.
I have installed some drivers, but it didnt help. I have tried most of the options, so not sure what I'm missing. Will try tomorrow, a different PC at work. MiFlash also cant see it.
Thanks for any help.
I am facing the same issue tried everything I could. I am able to to execute fastboot command on other devies such as one plus 5t but not with mi note 7 pro as it's not detected in fastboot mode no matter what I do.
It gets detected in adb but nothing pops up when I connect in fastboot mode. No devices is shown in fastboot mode. No changes in device manager when connected as fastboot.
Already tried.
-2 different cables
-Disable signature enforcement
-manually installed drivers
-3 different computers
Someone help us out..,.......
Any leads on the above problem guys?
Disable driver signature enforcement and download mi flash tool. It will prompt you to install all the drivers. Install them and check if it works. For me this was the solution. Another solution is to download the latest drivers from android at https://dl.google.com/android/repository/platform-tools-latest-windows.zip for windows and install it manually by using device manager. This fixes are of course only for windows
On my PC, I didn't try other devices in fast boot mode but I know that my redmi note 7 pro wasn't displaying even after installing those Google/phone drivers.
It eventually worked when I opened Device Manager and saw that my phone was showing as Unknown Device; I clicked on the option to update the driver from a folder on my PC, so I selected the folder containing the android_winusb.inf file and it worked
