Hi guys,
My P40 Pro failed to downgrade from EMUI 11 to 10, I've tried so many solutions from XDA and youtube, but all failed. Please help.

I thought DLOAD methods should always work, However, Failed using DLOAD method downgraded to 101.0.114(C432E8R5P2); 10.1.0.121(C432E8R5P2); 10.1.0.176(C432E8R6P1); receiving Error messages after reboot during the checking update stage.
No.3 failed always failed after 100% download. and since I'm in 11.0.0.202 now, failed at 0% download.
No.7 resolved by updating firmware to 11.0.0.202

Hi everyone, I just received a Huawei Mate 9 lite as a gift which I'm aware it's a rebranded Honor 6x for (as far as I'm aware) Latin America. I understand that many 6x rooms work for it but have no idea how to get started since model numbers are different.
I have the 32gb/3gb ram model single sim and the model number is BL L23, I'm on marshmallow with EMUI 4.1.3 and I want to update to the official nougat release, I've seen official nougat rooms for this model but they have a different build number, does that matter?
It's a carrier-locked phone, but if it's possible to install a stock, non-carrier room on it like in other phones I have no issue with that...
TLDR version: I have a mate 9 lite and would like to upgrade to nougat, model BL L23 and build number C43B121, and no, carrier does not have update on OTA.

I found the huawei firmware finder on google play (translating the russian forum that appears on your sig) and there are quite alot of firmwares for my model, but does the build number matter? or does it only indicate the build number of the software andit shouldn't affect installtion? my build number is BLL-L23C43B121, I'm sure this is just a carrier specific version, but I want to make sure because this is the first time I own a non-flagship phone without a lot of support (like the Galaxy S2/S4, HTC One M7 and LG G3 which I've owned before).
Found a post on xda where it showed all the country codes...
The post shows that C605 is Colombia, and my phone was bought in Uruguay, I checked and Colombia uses same LTE bands, can I use a rom labeled LL-L23C605B364? or Do I have to unlock bootloader or something?

Nope you can not. Unless you flash the oeminfo file of L23C605 then only you can do this. We dont have the oeminfo file of that model yet. However if you just want to update the version, we can do via dload.
Great, how do I do that?
Update to nougat without having to change oeminfo?

Using dload. Let me check and give the links.
Yours is BLL-L23C43B121 OR BLL-L23C432B121?
There is a difference of 43 and 432.
Thanks for the quick reply, I have the update.zip from the c605 update, the big one (around 1.6gb), is that good? I didn't download the one that actually has the build number, the one specific for the c605..

You can't. Yours is different build than this. It will fail 100% or worst case could mess badly to brick, mostly it will fail in any case.

Oh alright, so it's hopeless now? Should I wait until there's a method to update this model? I read that certain stock and custom roms fromtje honor 6x work with the mate 9 lite since it's basically the same phone...but if that's true, I don't know whichmodel of the 6x would be equivalent to mine,or if it is safe to do that...

Bumping the thread. Have you found any solution for this? I keep searching everywhere but nothing, I can unlock it and seen that I can probably root it too, but I can't rebrand it because as you mentioned there are no oeminfo files for the BLL L23. I've seen in another forum people withthe standard unlocked Mate 9 lite just updated through OTA and everything went fine but I cannot do that due to mine being a carrier-locked version.
I have the C605 update in my phone, I haven't flashed it because I was told not to since it might brick my device. Now, when I do the firmware check on Firmware finder it says "approved", should I trust that even though my firmware says C43B (not C432) and B121 (software version...?).

One final question, I used to have a galaxy S4 years ago, I remember I could install any other region of a rom as long as it was the same HARDWARE model, I had an international/Americas model and I managed to install a russian stock rom whixh had other updates, it was the same hardware model but different region...
Is it different with huawei's?

Yes I have uploaded the Chinese Verizon firmware and rest of region also . TA-1062 is Chinese
So, TA-1046 is the Global Firmware? Can it be installed on the Chinese version?

I tested it on my prototype phone, it works.
I've posted activities on my Twitter Hikari_Calyx.
But if you want to install it on retail phone, you need to obtain service permission from FIH Server (Which you can find someone that could flash Nokia 7 from Taobao) or unlock bootloader (which still don't know how to unlock).

But if you want to install it on retail phone, you need to obtain service permission from FIH Server (Which you can find someone that could flash Nokia 7 from Taobao) or unlock bootloader (which still don't know how to unlock).

I think I would need to speak chinese to be able to use taobao? ?
I'm actually learning but I can barely say some basic stuff ?
Hello. I want to install the Global firmware onto a 6GB RAM Chinese edition Nokia 7 plus phone.
1) Which firmware file do I need to download from the Google Drive folder?
2) Will the phone behave exactly like a global-edition Nokia 7 plus? I mean, with all the OTA updates, multi-language system and hopefully no spyware/backdoors that the Chinese internet censorship may (or may not) put on it?
Thanks

I thought the international version already got 8.1.
It looks like I was wrong?
I got my 7+ 2 days ago and I was very worried I did not get the update as per some of the Indian reviews!
So yours is still on 8.0 Feb security update?
Thank you.
Any info for a TA-1055 that arrived today as a Nokia 7 plus? It's stubbornly on 8.0.0 Feb 2018.

Hello so back in December i decided to take the risk go to Huawei with the P40 pro as my new phone and i loved it ever since up until i notice that when i installed GMS i didn't had updates. So then i watched videos after videos trying different things in order to fix it but kept failing. And now since the recent situation about firmware finder i think I'm stuck. If possible can someone help me?

it currently has EMUI 10.1.0.134(C792E7R3P1) and i saw a video on youtube to install them but first i had to downgrade it in order to make it work.
Hey, I am in the exact same boat, even the build is the same (C792E3R3P3) well reallllly close. Anyway, I am unable to downgrade out of EMUI 11, I cant use HiSuite to do the revisions cause they pulled the firmware, and the play store stopped working so my apps don't work... so pretty much screwed. I'm considering rooting the phone now.

I did exactly as you described - and it DID work.
First under EMUI 11 you use HiSuite to return to EMUI 10. When you have established the link between your PC and your phone you use the third option in HISuite - Update system - and when HISuite informs you that you are using the latest version already you will find below the option to use another version. In my case HISuite offered the latest version of EMUI 10 - 10.1.0.176 - and presto: you are in EMUI 10 after all. Now you downgrade to your verson 10.1.0.134 - or lower - and then you can user the googlefier.apk.
It worked in my case and now I'm using 11.0.0.176 as before trying to install GMS
Hope this helps...

I did exactly that, or tried I should say. I get to that point where it says "I am using the latest version" and does not offer another version. And now, my phone wont take incoming calls, never again... gonna jump off the Huawei train.

Hey Smokey, want to thank you for forwarding me to IProffesors firmware finder. I tried it 3 times and actually had it upgrade but failed on installation. I gave up but ended up messaging him to see if he could help. He told me to try a few things I haven't heard and the next attempt it worked man! He's a genius and now my new god, so thank you for pointing me to his work, saved my phone from the garbage.

Guys
Please help me if I can update to emui 11.
I have my current version of
10.1.0.176 (p40 pro).
Just wanted to know if I will lose the GSM if I update to emui 11 on hi suite.
I want to upgrade to emui 11 due to wanting the security updates from emui 11. But don't want to lose GSM. Is it possible not to lose GSM? Or do I need to install GSM via googlefier again?.
Please help me.

You will not lose it. It is also possible to have play protect errors after upgrade.

if GMS is already installed, after upgrade it is possible to have Play protect Errors. But is not necessary to install googlefier again. You have to find other solution to fix that (see my thread, post no. 4).

Hi there.
Guess what I have finally installed new update. and im on EMUI 12.
I had GSM was going off with the message :
"This Device isn't Play Protect Certified"then i was looking this video and it seems to fix it.
But now my problem is i receiveed no notifications and my NFC is not working it was working before i install new update EMUI 12.
Please see screenshot:
Can you help me?
I am not available till May 6
I'll get straight to it,
I've done this twice before, I, unfortunately, reset my password due to being hacked and had no idea how to reconnect my Google account. Wasn't long before the out-of-control spiral began and I had done a factory wipe.
Currently over 8+ hours into the descent of trying to restore GMS.
I kept the firmware I used to downgrade originally this kept failing over OTG (using a USB A to C connector) with Huawei's updates locking downgrades from Emui 12 (learned this the hard way by reading threads.)
I have seen many helpful threads from @badmania98 as well as a helpful video tutorial that references the thread posted.

System Hacks - Video Guide
Currently Where I am at - ELS-N29 (C185R4)
I have followed the Guide/Tutorial and have made 2 of the required downgrades
EMUI 12.0.0.0 (C185) --> (Using Latest Hisuite) --> EMUI 11.0.0.260 (C185)
EMUI 11.0.0.260 (C185) --> ( Using Dload/OTG) --> EMUI 11.0.0.230 (C432) - (ROM from badmania98's Guide)
I'm stuck on the last Downgrade - Using HIsuite 11.0.0.510 - https://bit.ly/3Hwujai
EMUI 11.0.0.230 (C432) --> (Using Proxy HIsuite 11.0.0.510) --> ELS-LGRP4-OVS 10.1.0.131 / ELS-LGRP4-OVS 10.1.0.121
( Packages from https://professorjtj.github.io/ )
Despite my best efforts, I am not making headway with the final firmware downgrade.
I have tried a combination of these Roms while setting up the Hisuite proxy
Base PKG : ELS-LGRP4-OVS 10.1.0.121
CUST PKG : ELS-N29-CUST 10.1.0.8(C185) / ELS-N29-CUST 10.1.0.9(C185)
Preload PKG : ELS-N29-PRELOAD 10.1.0.1(C185R4)
Base PKG : ELS-LGRP4-OVS 10.1.0.131
CUST PKG : ELS-N29-CUST 10.1.0.8(C185) / ELS-N29-CUST 10.1.0.9(C185)
Preload PKG : ELS-N29-PRELOAD 10.1.0.1(C185R4)
in all cases, the proxy starts up fine download, hits 100%, and returns an install failed/Failed to update notification every time.
saw some more threads with some related info but I'll admit I need help at this point.
Just to confirm OTG/Dload method Fails as well with the firmware Rom I've got Elsa-N29D 10.1.0.131(C185E9R4P1)_Firmware_EMUI10.1.0_05016PVQ
