Hi XDAers,
I was looking for good thread giving an overview of mobile office apps and couldn't seem to find one, so I wrote one hoping to help any other fellow noobs so they don't need to do the research.
Please note that all these apps are FREE apps or the free versions (or trials) of paid apps.

OliveOffice –
The Good: Lets you view and edit DOC, XLS and PPT files as well as view PDF files. Has Dropbox and GoogleDocs support. Also has a file manager.
The Bad: Editing feature is terrible, no auto-rotate, doesn’t recognise the arrow keys on keyboard (using standard DHD keyboard), keyboard can overlay on top of text currently being typed when in landscape mode, spellcheck does not work properly as well as a couple of other wee bugs.
QuickOffice –
The Good: Allows you to view and edit DOC, XLS, PPT (text only) files. Can edit docs with headers in them. Can create new DOC and XLS files.
The Bad: No ability to delete files. No other document support.
Open office document reader –
The Good: Supports ODT and ODS files as well as Box.net, Dropbox, ZumoDrive and others.
The Bad: no editing capabilities and no Microsoft Office or PDF support.
Mobile Document Viewer –
The Good: Easy simple GUI. Supports DOC, XLS, TXT, ODR, ODS files.
The Bad: No editing capabilities, does not display colours. Does not support PDFs.
ThinkFree Office(LITE) –
The Good: Looks great. Has its own online storage feature. Supports GoogleDocs. File manager. Supports DOC, XLS, PPP.
The Bad: No editing feature in LITE version.
DocumentsToGo –
The Good: Looks great. Supports Supports GoogleDocs. Can create DOC, XLS and PPP docs. File manager. Supports password protected docs.
The Bad: No PDF support in the free version. No copy/paste or editing capabilities in free version. No txt support.
OfficeSuite (trial version).
The Good: Has its own book purchase and download manager for dictionaries and reference books. Can create and edit DOC, XLS, PPP. Supports PDF, txt, GoogleDocs, Has a File manager. Supports password protected docs and can insert images and hyperlinks into docs.
The Bad: The free version is a trial and only lasts 30 days. Does not support any other files types or any other online storage.

If anyone's got these apps please give us a review below on any pros and even more importantly cons of the apps. Can you also state if the version is free or paid just so people know the capabilities of the version.

I use DocumentsToGo. It is the most app for Office.

Is it OfficeSuite only one apk wich support hyperlink read-writte in office documents? Have any other ?

Hey,
because all the files from my university come in the PDF Format I was thinking if there is a way to manage those files better on a rooted android device such as the sony Xperia z3 tablet.
Is it possible to save PDF files that you download with the chrome browser in a separate Folder? So that you don't get a bunch of PDF files into the download folder? I want chrome to automatically save PDF files in the folder "pdf" for example so I can easily find each pdf file.
Is that possible?
Looking for a way to get text messages w/ photos off of a phone and into a usable format like html, pdf, doc, etc. Does such software exist?
I use my note 20 ultra to scan documents (I use cam scanner full version), to receive documents and to compile and sign them (I use Xodo full version with file conversion) two excellent programs but ... I need an app that can convert my pdf file in doc / dcs offline (online I don't know if my signed document is copied remains on the app server)
on the computer to convert a pdf file offline (even if the pdf file has been scanned) I can use adobe acrobat pro but, if I want to convert the file offline from mobile which app can I use?
