Question Major problems in calls - Xiaomi Poco X3 Pro

1. Cant hear the other person
2. Cant be heard
3. Microphone input while on speaker mode is very low
To fix these i might have to hang up and call again 2-3 times or even restart. They got even worse when i updated to the new miui.
Its a same a smartphone cant even make a proper call
Any ideas on how to fix any of these is greatly appreciated.

First thing I would try is to backup your data and do factory reset.

Safely:
Manually backup (Recommended)
Efficiently with risks:

You take the risk that the backups cannot restore properly if you do with those Backup apps. There's always chance that restore will fail. TWRP or OrangeFox backup and restore also have this risk.
What is more important to you? Your data and apps or some of your time?

[Q] Bootloop After Using Titanium Backup

Hi Guys, my friend recently rooted my RAZR HD via TeamViewer but didn't install a custom ROM or a recovery. Before I did a factory reset to clean things up, I backed up everything to my SD card using Titanium. After finishing the backup, Titanium said I should reboot to finish the restoration. Every since then I've been bootlooped. Do any of you know of a solution to fix this?
Thanks,
Carter
I don't think Titanium asks for a reboot when doing any sort of back up. It will ask for a reboot when doing certain restorations. It doesn't ask you to reboot when restoring user apks but it does on system apk.
If I'm understanding your question right, you backed everything up but then you decided to restore everything. If you never installed a ROM then it is strange for it to boot loop. If hyou did install a ROM then it could have started to boot loop if you restored a system file that isn't compatible with the ROM.
What I would do is start from scratch. Factory reset the phone, re-root, re-install Titanium, and restore only the user apps and your SMS messages if you save them. It's a slight hassle but only about 1 hour worth of your time. By the time you begin trying debug everything to find the culprit you would have lost hours.

I don't know if it will work in this situation but you might try wiping cache/dalvik cache in the recovery. That way you aren't starting from scratch. If this doesn't work, try the above suggestion instead.
Sorry for the late response. Did another factory reset and didn't use Titanium this time. Anyone know how to get my texts back though?

If you saved everything in titanium backup... then you have a backup of your messages. Open Titanium, click the batch tab, scroll to the restore section, and then restore and only restore the message thing. It should be a green color and on the right it should say xml. It will restore all your texts and mms. Just don't get confused and restore the messenger app.
If you have a lot, then be patient and make a sandwich, it's a little slow.

Osprey XT1550 hanging problem

From past 15-20 days I'm facing hanging problem. This happens when I switch on the data on or connects to wifi. As soon as I connects to wifi or data mobile starts hanging due to notifications of apps for eg. Whatsapp Gmail. Sometimes Mobile gets hang when you switch in between multiple apps. It doesn't really matter which rom I'm using. I tried 8-9 different roms since last 15-20 days. well let me give you some extra info about my moto G3. My current recovery is TWRP 3.0.2-r1 current rom is ported Stock nougat 7.1.1 by althafvly. Every time I flash new rom I restore backup from titanium backup app which is taken on previous rom. I take batch backup of almost 45-50 apps and restore them. Is this problem due to my backup process? It's been 1.5 years using this device. Flashing custom roms since 1 year. If anyone is facing same issue or you know the reason behind this, let me know in reply. Thanks for reading and sorry for my bad English.
Uh, if you are using TBP to restore stuff across different ROMs, you must have quite a confused build. At the very least, if you must use TBP across builds, restore the apps but NOT the data.

Basically restore only apk and not apk+data.
Ok !! I got it. Is there any another way to restore apps + data without using TBP which creates such a confusing build?

There are lots of ways to restore apk+data, but that is the problem - the app data has stuff in it that (now) refers to many different roms. Unfortunately:
a) when you jump ROMs, or
b) when you are having a problem
You need to restore w/o data and restart the apps. You could try going to apps and clicking storage and clearing cache and data for each one, since maybe you have an idea as to a few that might be causing it. Trial and guess...
You could also nandroid what you have and then wipe and flash a new basic rom with no modifications and test there to see if prob goes away. No one that I have heard of is having the problem.

Ok. Thank you very much for answer. Now i got the clear picture of impact of restoring app+data on new rom. I will try few different methods. And will let you know soon.

Restore and backup

I plan to backup my phone with smart switch to reset the phone and restore from backup but someone mentioned that I shouldn't do the restore from back up because bugs and problems will be restore from the back up.
Is this correct?
Thank you

Nonsense. You are just returning your DATA and apps. It doesn't matter if you install from google play or from APK (backup). Yes, you will get more data, some may be redundant, but I don't think you will encounter bugs. Maybe in single applications, but that is extremely rare, and you would have noticed if you have any bugs NOW (before backup)

Backup and Restore with Switch

My stock 8T has become a bit unstable recently, rebooting several times a day, even unattended.
If I backup with the Oneplus Switch, reset the phone to factory settings, and then restore the backup - will I lose any settings or anything?
I suspect that since it is not a Twerp type backup, the application settings might all be lost?
Can anyone enlighten me on what results I should expect please?

You may lose depending on the type of reset(Full reset wipes everything). If it is possible, copy the Opbackup folder to your PC after you backup your data via OPSwitch.

OP Switch doesn't back up app data, it only backs up the apks.
So, yes, you will lose all your app settings.
But OP Switch can backup launcher settings.
Thanks, on the one hand, that is a nuisance (losing app data), on the other hand it increases the chances that my instability will be cured by the wipe and restore.

Stops receiving or making calls

Having weird issues with a Pixel 3 were it will stop making or receiving calls. I can clear the cache and reboot and that often works but I am unsure how many calls I may have missed. Text still works the entire time. I am on the latest Android 11 build with an unlocked bootloader and magisk installed just the restore data with Titanium Backup from previous phone. Not a fan of all the stupidness that got changed/added with Android 12. Willing to try custom roms if that is the right direction. Any thoughts?

If you restored data from Titanium Backup, that may be your problem. Titanium Backup has not been updated for two years, and does not work well with newer versions of Android. The restore part caused the most problems. TB has pretty much been abandoned.

Thanks for the response. I noticed it had not been restoring apps for a while so I just resorted to restoring mostly game data with it. Wondering if I use Easy Backup & Restore to save my data then wipe and reinstall OS and apps then restore data if that would fix it.

It is certainly worth trying. I don't know anything about Easy Backup - I use Swift Backup, and have successfully restored data from one phone to another using it. It might depend on what Android version was on your old phone, though. I recall reading somewhere that restoring data from different Android versions could cause problems.

Finally got around to trying this after replacing the loud speaker on another Pixel 3. Seemed to work well. We will see if this solves the call problems.
