Hi so i got this p40 as a present and its stuck on demo mode i think that it was on discount and they wrapped it up and forgot to reverse it
It says live demo for store display only
Btw i tried some things in yt such as dial code reseting it but nothing seems to work

I came across an HTC 8X at my work, and it's stuck in demo mode. I've tried to boot the phone, and one of two things happen. I either get a exclamation point and then the phone reboots or I get a menu with the IMEI, SN number etc. I've tried to wipe the phone from settings and the only thing I am able to do is "update demo phone". There is a application stock on the phone called Microsoft Retail Mode which requires an RAC code. It also gives me the option of an admin password. I am unsure as to where to get these codes/how else to get this thing out of demo. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
(I'm unable to flash the ROM as well)
I don't know if you saw this, but it looks like someone did a hard reset, and it took it out of demo mode...perhaps that would work?

Hello,
I bought one of these to play around with it but this one seems to kinda go bat**** crazy. Android runs fine but It wont play any demo videos and it wont reset itself. Instead it constantly launches the samsung screen repair tool and flashes all kinds of colors and shapes. I went into the retail mode app and then the store settings and it asks for a password which I put in 5444 but it says the password is invalid. I see some people have had success removing the retail mode app and then flashing a stock rom. My question is does anyone know the passwords to the retail demo mode app?
I recently bought a SM-G930X Samsung Galaxy S7 Live Demo Unit to use with my Samsung Gear VR. I used a Youtube tutorial titled Samsung Galaxy S7 G930X Live Demo Unit removing retail mode.
Unfortunately, I think I made a boneheaded mistake. In the video he uses Odin to install twrp-3.0.2-2-herolte.img.tar, but I installed twrp-3.0.2-3-herolte.img.tar. So, total n00b question here, I'm assuming I made a mistake, right? I can tell because now no matter what I do I can't seem to get back into recovery/download mode to be able to install the correct version. Can anyone point me in the right direction to fix this? The phone will still boot - I just can't get recovery mode to launch before it turns back on.
Hello, as of many have faced the same issue by now, i searched alot and couldnt find a fix to my problem,
i have bought a samsung gear s3 frontier some time ago, i have ordered it from ebay "UK" i think and it was shipped to me in sweden, i discovered that my watch doesnt have samsung pay so i searched a little and there was few suggestions which none worked, so i left the watch as it is hoping it will be added next update or so.
yesterday i saw a video talking about installing a combination firmware using odin software and then pull some files and edit them using note book, i searched for combination firmware for my R760 watch and there was kernel 1 and 2 i didnt know which one to use to i downloaded 1 and used it on the watch , odin said it was successful but i got an error on the watch saying something about kernel 2 security and ofc error booting, i tried to search for the stock firmware to return the watch to work but the boot option/ wireless download gets stuck on the flower logo and stays there "didnt reach the stage where i need to click twice to enter AP mode, after many reboots and trying i got the watch to enter AP mode but the background was blue not black as it use to be, i ignored that and added another stock firmware which said fail on odin at 45% and it said old software resoted because it was failed,
Now im stuck at odin mode, every time i try to enter wireless download mode the watch just stays on the flower logo and thats it nothing, i tried the 2 sec hold power 1 sec release thingy and it didnt work no matter how many times i try,
the worst is the watch is not charging now and every time i switch it on it show booting and switch off again b4 i can do anything, and when i put it on the charging station, the station give me a red blinking light which means its not charging,

on the download mode i remember it say software : official and locking is disabled
i would appropriate if i can restore the watch as it was b4 even without and samsung pay, i dont want to throw a 300£ watch for a software issue, please help me .

Hi! i am having the same issue! Now whenever I place the watch on the dock it just shows the little bolt and does not charge at all.

Please help I have a TCL 49C2US TV that is now out of 3 year warranty and purchased in New Zealand. TV has always worked fine and always updated VIA tv updates. Recently transferred TV to be hanged in Garage wall and was working well then after a few weeks of working now TV is stuck on TCL Logo when turned on and stays on TCL Logo. Tried calling TCL and they have only emailed me the file to download https://www.dropbox.com/s/cfgnl2oedebkodb/Update_V8-T658T01-LF1R579_sign.pkg?dl=0 after trying hard reset and still same result I downloaded file and tried updating which came up on screen "Please do not power off during updating. This process may take a few minutes" Then after it finish it reboots and stays stuck on TCL logo. I have even tried previous/older software to see if fix but still same issue. I have opened back of TV to see if any damage to boards but could not see any. Want to know if any other things I can do before chucking it online to sell parts. I have added photos of boards for reference. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Try this tutorial , I think your problems may be on the device itself , but I hope this helps
