Wear Mouse - Google Play Store there is an app to use the watch as a Bluetooth keyboard/mouse. Would this be what you are looking for?

Yeah i tried Wear Mouse. It looks good but it has drawbacks:
1. Consuming lot of battery
2. There is no button to Play, Pause, Volume Increase/Decrease. These are the things important for Android TV.

Was worth a shot. You might get the smart things app to work with it. My Samsung TV can be used by my Google Hubs there might be something there.

I love the app Find My iPad, it's got a lot of key options that make it an excellent app. I've seen some imitators on the Google Play store, but I'm wondering if there were an Android versions that worked as well?

Hello!
I was wondering if someone who owns the device already would let us know what applications are available right now. I read somewhere that there is nit too many besides some watchfaces. Samsung claimed 10000 apps, maybe for S2 but are they compatible for S3?
Specifically the most used apps on my Android Wear are like remote phone camera control Pixtocam, loyalty cards barcode display Wear Codes, Glympse, Backcountry navigator, Endomondo, Nest, Shazam...
Are the apps equivalent to any of those available?
From what I could find in the Gear store...

Ok, thanx!
Endomondo is a bummer as it was available for Gear S....
Other than that-is there a decent selection of apps? S2 had almost nothing at launch that's why i switched to Android wear a year ago. Now i am finally returning lg urbane 2 under recall so i have a chance to try s3

It looks like a lot of the S2 apps are compatible with the S3 so there is already a decent number of available apps and watch faces.
That's good news, might be a keeper then!
Thanx for checking.
One app I would really like is Spotify but it's not there. I haven't seen anything for the S3 that I want and the choice is limited at the moment. Gear navigator is a must app, most turns show up as street view using Google maps, it cost £1.99.
I am not sure about 10000, but there are a ton of apps on the Gear Store. Some are rubbish but there are some equally useful ones too. People complain that there are more watch faces than apps, this is true, but it's not a bad thing! The watchface after all is the thing you look at most so having a choice that suits your taste is essential.
I installed:
Here Maps
Navigator Companion
Yelp
Calculator
Gear Browser (Full function web browser!)
Flashlight Premium 2 (Torch)
Brrr (This cool utility makes the watch vibrate like crazy when you leave your phone behind!)
Guardian News
My Notes in Gear (excellent notes and To-Do List that syncs with your phone)
.
Got the watch, it's awesome.
FidMe is for the phone only though, for the phone I use Beep'n'Go... Loved the WearCodes... Hopefully someone will come up with a similar app for Tizen

Save your barcodes as images, send to Gear. I've added Starbucks barcode, it scans from watch without a problem.

I've got it fixed by visiting the Google Play Store (on the Sony Android TV), searching for 'Google Cast Receiver' and updating it. Connects just fine now.
Worked at first try on my LG WebOS 1.x TV. Also no issues with a Chromecast 2.

Thanks for the heads up on this apps.. It's working perfectly. However the one I downloaded don't need to pay but has ads, I would rather pay to get rid of the ads.

Yeah, sorry, i wasn't detailed enough the App is free, supported with Ads, but beneath the Options, you can choose to remove the ads and this will cost a little... But using an app everyday it's worth paying

There are a lot of apps for this. What I want is to mirror the phone screen on tv using MirrorShare option from taskbar.
I already have Google Cast Receiver app up to date, but no success. I think is something wrong with my Wi-Fi router. I have an Asus AC68U. Do I have to make any specials settings in router for screen mirroring ?

Make sure UPnP (Universal Plug and Play) is enabled/allowed.
Regarding the TV do note that my unit was showing zero system updates available. It was only when I manually searched for 'Google Cast Receiver' that I found an updated version ready for download.

I successfully mirror share my phone screen on tv screen by installing Google Home application on the phone.
Thanks dancrow! I just downloaded Google Home and it worked instantly, so easy!!
Huawei Mate 10 Pro to Sony Bravia, no problem. :good:

You have to install someone's app store (which has some questionable code in it) to get the APK for the watch. You also need to give the person $5 and your watch serial number
It may also be worth mentioning you need to follow a guide that may as well be written in Klingon unless you know how to navigate GCP inside out.
Google Assistant is not finished for WEAR OS 3.
There are some beta but nothing that really work.
Google need some times to finish the app for the new generation of wear os.
Don't fall in a trap by buying **** on internet, it will be available on your watch when google would have finished the development of his non-finished OS (that's why other smartwatch won't have WEAR OS 3 until 2022.)
I'm glad you guys dove into that a lot farther than I did. That definitely looks pretty sketchy at best!
Yeah that Telegram thread was pretty rough. I jumped in there to look and was alot of BS.
Beware !!

You would THINK that says it all and I use to be one of those people that thought telegram was mostly made for sketchy stuff like that, but I took the plunge into that mess and I've actually come out pretty impressed. Assistant is enable as the double press gesture, home control works as does personal results and the ui is way better than assistant go. Here's a short video:
Just look in this thread : https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/google-assistant-on-watch-4-wear-os.4337733/
There's an APK in there.
Follow the instructions carefully and it will work.
I have done it and Google Assistant is working on my GW4 Classic
Yes, it's the Google Assistant GO and maybe the GUI is not that nice but on the other hand you have to do anything sketchy

Given some of the sketchy code in the app, the sketchy code in the developer's store, the hoops you have to jump through to get the APK, and as much as I really want a good Google Assistant on my watch I'll be waiting for the official code.
This is a security breach waiting to happen, don't question it though, it'll get you banned.

This already existed in Tizen.

They only adapted it to Android.
It is easier to install Google assistant Go Apk version 2.8.
It is more you can install Google go Apk which is Google search lite.

Samsung promised Google Assistant on the Galaxy Watch 4 when it launched it. It's been three months and that's still nowhere to be found.

I had to select the pair all devices and available Bluetooth devices popped up, I then selected the watch4
