The lastest Jailbreak was released only after the patch was done on FW 5.14.3. If wish to explore this possibility go ahead else try latest JailBreak.
For instructions click here
There is another jailbreak working with FW 5.13.3 or lower.
{Mod edit: Hyperlinks removed; please refer to here.}
Any other possibilities of JB latest FW?
There has got to be a way to reflash the chip with the bootloader on it, or to flash the nand manually with an older version.

update: Sept 8 2010: latest apk from CM6, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=775007
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=655649
Just tested this and it works great.
1. rename /system/app/EmailGoogle.apk to .apk1
Needs root.
2. Install the patched apk from the above link.
I put it in /system/app
I don't know what will happen if you simply install Email.apk...probably an error that the package name exists.
This+NoLock/trackball unlock= great
All credit to klaus27. Donate to him if this helps you
Edit: the froyo .apk is in the private testing phase...so hold on.
update, a newer version may be out soon that does not need root.

If I am on stock rom on a rooted device may I install OTA Updates without bricking my xoom? Will it mess up my system or will I just loose root?
At the moment I am on Tiamat "Moray" and after each reboot I'll have to make my micro SD read/write able manually ...
Is this a "problem" with "Moray" or will I have the same "problem" when I'm on an actual stock rom?
running the ota on a rooted device will not do anything. The update checks to see if stock and when its not it aborts. If you want to update check this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1278214
Remember that, that is for us wifi xooms only.
Thanks a lot - I didn't know that!
Now you know, and knowing is half the battle!!

I realize this is an older post; however, if you still haven't rooted your device, please post a link to your stock boot image and I'll give you a hand patching it for Magisk systemless root.
Can you please post the firmware? I'm trying to root my 10WB2 also and can't find the firmware online
Hi ! I have a OnePlus 8 IN2015 with bootloader unlocked but not rooted , I understand the official TWRP recently added support for this device (instant noodle)
My question is can I just hit download TWRP and follow the instructions and be done straight from the phone ? Do I need magisk first ?
Also when I click the drop down menu to search for a device it says failed to connect to the server ?

It's been quite a while since I've flash anything on my devices but none of this is new to me, I just been feeling the itch to start flashing stuff again, I just wanted to be completely sure before flashing.

Click to collapse
rollback protection is your arch enemy now.
updates are not forced if you click later in popup.
lineage custom rom for it will be best.
