Keep system volume low?

How do I keep that awful system volume low? The annoying click click is too loud and it keeps going back up. Anyway to fix it? Am I doing something wrong that makes it go up constantly? Can I disable the clicking noise?
Check the keyboard setting , turn off key sound. Simple.
There is also a separate system volume setting under sounds.

Use Tasker
I know what you mean about the system volume. I always listen to music on my train commute, which takes a lot of media audio adjustment due to varying external noise levels. Turns out, on my Samsung Vibrant, if you adjust the media audio, the system volume level adjusts as well, so I'd get to work and my phone would sound CLICK CLICK CLICK at an embarassingly high level until I adjusted the system volume back down. What a pain in the butt.
Just created a profile in the Tasker app, though, that should take care of it. For context, I am using Time = 00:00 to 23:59 and then created a task of System Volume = 1. My initial tests are good and adjusting other volume levels doesn't seem to affect the system volume level.
"Settings" > "Sound and display" > uncheck "Audible selection"
And while you're there, you might as well uncheck "Audible touch tones" and turn "System volume" all the way down
Using navigation in Google Maps turns the system volume to max... Presumably because the text-to-speech engine that it uses plays at system volume and they want you to be able too hear it.

I wish volume settings had "system volume"

I notice that in the options menu, you can change media volume, ring volume, alarm volume, and notification volume. From what I understand, system sounds such as the lock/unlock noise, audio feedback from item selection, and more, are determined by media volume. Which is the same volume used to play music/video files. I wish they were separate options as sometimes I want my music to play softly but I system sounds to be full volume. Would this be possible in a custom ROM or is it an issue with the hardware?
Have you tried a 3rd part volume manager to see if it works? All of them give you the option to adjust only system volume. I use volume Ace
I use Quick Settings

[Q] Lowest volume is too loud - how to fix?

Lowest media volume is OK and has a fair number of "notches". Ringtone & notifications and alarm volumes are too loud at lowest setting and have fewer "notches". How can I add more "notches" and lower the lowest volume for these two? Using CM11 - don't know if that's important.

I already have Xposed for Xprivacy. And it's open source. Nice. Thank you!

Lowest media volume still way too loud. Is it possible to lower the minimum volume?

When I listen to music in a quiet room, even on the lowest volume it's way too loud (using earphones). I know there are tweaks to boost the volume above the hardware default, but is it possible to do the opposite?
What I've tried:
- Increasing the number of steps on the volume slider but the lowest volume is still the same.
- "Fine Volume App" - didn't work either
Any ideas?
I'm running Resurrection Remix on 6.0.1.
Thanks!

Read the thread on manually boosting the volume, it states exactly what changed, just lower those settings and test, rebooting each time

Thanks for the response.
Doesn't this only change the maximum possible volume though, not the lowest possible volume?

I'm pretty sure it's like a multiplier... if you change it from 90 to 84 the total volume will lower over the entire range, at least that is what I thought.

MIUI 13 - Disable Absolute Volume gone?

I found out that a way to fix low volume on Bluetooth headphones is to turn off "Disable Absolute Volume" in the Developer options. It is enabled by default.
I updated to MIUI 13 and I can't find that option.
Do you have any solution to increase the volume on Bluetooth audio, without rooted phone?
Did you find a way to fix this?
