Seems I haven't got the luck, tried the tricks found in the forum with the AT&T customer services and finally the result is no good, they rejected me for various of excuses, Account not activated for 90 days, Model of the Phone is not supported to be unlocked, the unlock team is not available at the moment, phone imei number is not bind to the account, no international service package is added to the account ....
Decided to turn to IMEI CHECK today, dumped out the file and provided the IMEI number, paypaled $40.44 USD ~( ... ) and emailed in the fax copy of my driver license(requested, no idea why need to do that) got the unlock code with in 5 minutes.
Jeez. Sorry dude.
Man I would've charged you 2 dollars and 13 cents to give you the unlock code!

That's insane!!! I paid won an ebay auction for $13.99 USD from www.cellunlock.net to have mine unlocked and received the code within 12 hours. They only needed the IMEI number of my phone...not sure why you had to pay so much and had to give them your drivers license.
dude... how is that may i ask?..

Probably just to cover themselves. There are a lot of stolen phones about. One shop over here wants photographic ID and proof of address, lol!!!
Wouldnt worry too much, have used IMEI Check in the past, good service and no problems here, although their not the cheapest on the market.....

Especially since the OP paid via Paypal. Now, they have an email address tied to a known valid paypal account and the OP's credentials (Name, address, etc.). Hopefully they won't be able to much with it. I'd still be wary though. To OP, definitely watch your paypal account for suspicious activities and other financial activities for a while. Don't want to mess with identity theft. It's a nightmare to get resolved.
EDIT: Well, silent_killa's dealings should help ease your feelings a little. Though, it wouldn't hurt just to be safe.
@KMFM$: Really well said. Dealing with paypal on most levels is frustrating and when it is about identity theft I've heard they can be really, really unfair.
He has great advice OP

Hello,
i just bought a huawei mate 9. Tried to log in with my google account and received following info:
Sign in with a Google Account that was previously synced on this device. I called google.
They told me: go to huawei, they can flash your device. I called huawei. They told me: we have a contractor near netherlands they can help you. I called the contractor: we can help you. Send your device to us and we flash the device. You need to proof that you are the owner by sending us the bill of the device.
Problem: i got no original bill. I bought a used device.
What can I do. How can i bypass the problem? Please help.
Cheers
Stefan
Hi, every new Android phone has this safety feature these days. Previous owner should have deleted his Google account from phone before wiping it.
You can contact the person who sold it to you and give phone to him for 5 minutes so he logs in with his account, then deletes the Google account from the phone and then can wipe it.
I know it since I sold my OnePlus 3 and later had to go meet the buyer to do exactly these steps
Sent from my LON-L29 using Tapatalk
I tried to contact the seller. He deleted the online-offer, so i do not have any contact details of the seller.
I bouht it at ebay-kleinanzeigen.de
Contact Duraaraa and check with him if FunkyHuawei 2.0 can be used to bypass it.

All users who buy a new Huawei or Honor as of today will not be able to unlock the bootloader having the door closed to the installation of ROMs. For those smartphones already marketed there will be an unlock limit: 60 days from today, but it does not work anymore. We will see if the manufacturer ends up retraining and gives the freedom to change what you want, assuming the risk of damaging the mobile phone, which is why it is yours.
It is not good to leave aside the developers and the most mobile fans that are around. I do not understand why they have changed their mind, that someone explains why they think they have made this turn

Actually that's not all correct. Devices Huawei/Honor released after 5/24 will not be able to unlock bootloaders. If you purchase a device within the 60 day period you can still request an unlock code. If you buy a device after the 60 day period you won't be able to retrieve an unlock code.

Fatal error??
goes blank for a week or more
..
Is this a permanent decision ? Without the unlock codz, there is no way to flash custom ROM ? no anyway ? :crying:
that`s good to know...i was planning to buy a View 10 but not under These circumstances. If Huawei/Honor doesn`t let the customers decide, what to do with their device, i son`t buy their stuff.
It`s the same with Nokia btw....
Have to say as someone who bought a view 10 on day one, this is VERY disappointing to hear. I haven't done it yet as I am new to all of this and wasn't sure what to do. Guess I will have to unlock it now. Well, no more Huawei/Honor for me.
This is definitely my last honor or Huaweii product.

The unlock code is based on your IMEI, so you should be able to unlock the bootloader whenever you want. I took the code for my device just in case. I haven't unlock it yet.
I am waiting for you to fix the page to unblock the bootloader, before it went blank and now it lets you type your IMEI, product id, sn ... but when you send it does not do anything, it gives a verification error or ¿?, I don't know, the fact is that it still does not work

Just request it via email from any Honor Support site, Germany for instance sends them out. All they need is your IMEI and S/N
The email for the German support site: [email protected]
You should be able to write it in English, if you want to be on the safe side you can simply run it through Google translate and paste the German translation into your email too :fingers-crossed:

Thank you! Try todo send email to China support , because the Spain Support can't do It, they told me:
"We checked your IMEI and it shows the phone is from China. Unfortunately, we cannot give you the bootloader, code since we only provide them for the region of Spain or Europe. You'll have to wait until the website works again or contact Huawei China"
I asked for China email support and I can't to be able to find the email. I send one but I think that is not correct. :crying:

Right now he sent it where you told me because in Spain I was sent to China and the technical service of China does not answer. I've sent it to two or three sites that have been telling me. Just be patient since they don't work on the weekend. I sent them the email on Sunday and had my code by Monday early afternoon :good:
Let's see if it's true. This error comes out on the page:
English page: "If you have any questions about the unlock code application, please contact us" :silly::silly:
China page: "Your IMEI number is not linked to your account"
Have to wait!!
Thank you!!
Good mobile but very bad support if you bought in China, I do not buy anything from China.
From the support of Spain and from Germany can not do it, they send me to the Chinese support, which does not work (http://consumer.huawei.com/cn/support/service-center/).
Within a year or two hopefully, when they stop updating it, I will not be able to install a ROM. They think I'm going to buy another Huawei or Honor, but no.
The problem is that I do not like mobile phones with Notch or rear fingerprint, or rear glass because I fall quite.
When a brand says one thing and then another, it has no honor, it does not honor its brand
I bought the phone a few days ago and I have not tried anything of what they say, they are making me dizzy, it is complicated they put it.
I will have patience but I have my doubts of being able to get it.
I want to sell it but I like a phone that it comes without Notch, that it is made of metal, with Jack and with a fingerprint in front; there are not many mobile phones like that ... what could I buy with these features?
Huawei say that:
Dear xxxxx,
Thank you for contacting Huawei Support.
We are unable to send boot loader code via email and can only be obtained through our website.
If you would want to unlock your phone, you should meet the following conditions:
1. Please register your Huawei ID in our official website http://emui.huawei.com/en/ on your phone.
2. Log in and logout your Huawei ID continuously for 14 days.
3. Each Huawei ID should not apply for the unlock code more than fifth time within 6 months.
If you meet the criteria, please go to https://emui.huawei.com/en/unlock_detail and click the 'download ‘button to login your Huawei ID other than any other third party ID to apply for the unlock code. Please contact us by mail or local service hotline as following if error message appears.
TEL: http://consumer.huawei.com/en/contact-us/index.htm?tag=hotline
Mail: http://consumer.huawei.com/en/contact-us/index.htm?tag=email
Please submit your mobile model, SN, IMEI/MEID and error message in your e-mail. We also need to know that your phone is rooted, it can be out of the best working state and some of the functions may not be able to work normally. In addition, the system is vulnerable to be invaded by viruses once your phone is permitted to unlock. For the lack of testing, third party software may not be compatible with your phone. Unlocking will bring unexpected negative impacts and the device will be not normal, and cannot be restored, Huawei after-sales service office will not provide warranty service for your rooted phone, and you may bear the cost. So we strongly advise you to think twice.
Thank you for giving us the opportunity to serve you better. Please help us by taking a few minutes to tell us about the service that you have received so far. We appreciate your feedback and want to make sure we meet your expectations:

Hi, I just got off Telegram with a guy who had one of the services for unlocking bootloaders for P20 Pro. He said all his requests after Jan 6 were rejected in bulk. It isn't FunkyHuawei, I wrote to them as well, but have yet to get a reply (they're also more expensive than this guy). Any other sources for unlocking the bootloader?

@irc75
He is not scamming anyone. This Thursday I contacted him to ask, if my bootloader code is ready, and he said, that the server is under maintenance, so he couldn't get the bootloader code ATM, so he asked me for my name on PayPal, and refunded me my money, without me even talking about a refund. He then thanked me for trusting him, and promised me, that the server would be back online next week, and hoped that I would return as a customer, and try again next week.

Just a quick update:
funky huawei is stalling, saying it's gonna take longer (it's been 10 days i think)
ministry of solutions is the guy who told me that all his requests were rejected
miiduu haven't charged anything, but there is still no payment link (7-8 days so far)
the facebook guy hasn't even responded
anyone care to pm me any other methods, i will gladly try them
I have also been talking with MOS. They told me, that they don't know, if the server ever will be online again. They can't promise anything.
And when I talked with Giải Pháp, they told me, that they will inform me, when the server is back online again.
And when talking with GOS, they are just repeating the same thing, that they mention on their website.

How do you know, that 9 January was the date, when the server went down?
In my world "scam" means, that someone takes money from you, without providing you the promised service, or not refunding you your money willingly, if he for some reason can't provide you the promised service. And this ain't the case with CPU Maverick.
And if you asked him how long it takes him to provide you with a code, without mentioning what phone you were talking about, then I can understand his answer perfectly. For a lot phones you can get your code in a couple of minutes. You don't even need 24 hours.
