Question Cannot unlock my bootloader - Motorola Moto G100 / Edge S

Hi,
I just bought a Motorola G100 US version.
Hardware Version: pvt
Model Number (SKU): XT2125-4
The OEM unlocking in Developer option is greyed out.
Anyone else ran into this problem. I am connected to the internet and already have all the updates.

I just had to wait a few days and OEM unlock eventually made itself available.

Thanks for the information. I have connected the phone to the internet and waiting for magic to happen -.

I was finally able to unlock my boot loader. Now I am ready to try out some ROMS.

read somewhere else that you have to factory reset it and connect to wifi during setup. OEM unlock option ungrayed right away for me.

If that doesn't work you may need to make sure you have any other drivers you tried removed. Either way, you can't unlock the bootloader on your Verizon phone. Motorola will not give you a code to unlock it.

XT1767 can not be bootloader unlocked. Help yourself by doing research before asking for help.
Doesn't sunshine support the XT1767 ? I thought i remembered seeing it as supported for bootloader unlock on Motorola. Might check with them.
But as for what he is trying to do which is unlocking carrier for CDMA or probably GSM support in this case yes it is very much possible. I am doing the XT1767 now but I don't have sigmakey / other motorola capable boxes and my modem is the newer version which can't be downgraded. Only a handful of crappy solutions that aren't really 100% are out there that can work until reboot. Possibly a good solid one found on Clansgsm if he or anyone wants to check there and search. I haven't finished up my research there yet so can't say for certain.

Sunshine cannot unlock the xt1767 bootloader. In fact, the Verizon Moto E 2015 (xt1528) has still not been successfully expolited for bootloader unlocking. As a general rule of thumb, most Verizon branded Moto devices manufactured between 2015 to the present cannot be exploited for bootloader unlocking. The best hackers in the world (primarily the Chinese) have been attempting to exploit these locked down bootloaders for years, all to no avail. The one thing most experienced hackers do agree on is that it simply isn't possible.

Question Question about variant XT2131-1

Is this variant to new for rebooting? XT2131-1 bought from bestbuy w/o activation so it's supposed to be unlocked for carrie
I was able to use it on metro/tmoble without issue but cannot seem to get the bootloader unlocked, grayed out
Errors on moto's site for unlocked, not eligible, is it because it's to new?

It may take 14 days for oem unlocking to be available.
Edit: It should only 3 days for oem unlock to be available after connecting wifi or carrier.
Thank you - I'll give it a go in 24hrs or so

Right now, It's on WiFi and I got it on MetroPCS network.
Not even 5hrs since I got it online through metro and my home wireless.

It is a pretty nice phone for $400! Great internal storage, 256GB though I got 256GB sd card and 6gb ram, 2 more then my G7

I had not - I randomly checked the oem lock in developer options and it was available so i did the bootloader unlock.
Also got it rooted by getting the boot img file from LMSA and patching with magisk then running the patched boot in bootloader.
No ROMs seen at this moment to try/test.
Same boat, hopefully we get some roms soon.
This is the subsection for the 5G (XT2131-1, and probably a few more) version of the Moto G Stylus 2021, make sure to keep an eye in both subsections.

I would be surprised if it can be rooted.
Carrier exclusive models (ex. Verizon, AT&T, Tracfone) are almost never unlockable.
You need a few things to be true or available.
OEM unlocking
In Dev Options, you need to toggle on OEM: allow unlocking
If it's greyed out and it's been connected to wifi/LTE for over 14 days it's not a good sign.
Unlock data
In bootloader mode, you need to get the Unlock data
Code:
fastboot oem get_unlock_data
Unlocking Site
Then send that data to Motorola through their website
https://motorola-global-portal.custhelp.com/app/standalone/bootloader/unlock-your-device-b
CID
You can check this first if you want, it is not dependent on the other steps.
If the Unlock site says your device cannot be unlocked, Check the device CID
If the CID is on the list of devices that cannot be unlocked, there is nothing that can be done.
If it is a good CID, keep trying the website, it can take several tries.

Question Any way to Unlock the Bootloader on the 2022 Moto Stylus 5G?

I Have been trying on the Motorola website and it says that the phone is ineligible to be unlocked when i put the Device ID on there site. I mean, why would the phone even have an OEM Unlock option if there was no way to unlock the bootloader? Just asking if anyone else has found a way around this?

Do you really have a moto edge+ 5g? And from ATT? And bootloader unlocked?
ATT doesn't sell your "BOOTLOADER UNLOCKABLE" MOTO EDGE+ 5G.
No single att branded Motorola phone is EVER eligible for official bootloader unlock.
If you want an unlocked bootloader you should only buy it directly from Motorola
Depends on who you bought it from. If you want an unlocked version always buy direct from manufacturer instead of a carrier or Amazon... They always Lock down anything they sell.

You can continue to claim you unlocked the bootloader of your att version moto g stylus 5g and call it a day.
att never sells MOTO Edge+ 5g. So either you don't actually own a moto edge+ 5g or you bought an unlocked version from somewhere else like bestbuy but not from ATT.
I am enjoying my bootloader unlocked moto g stylus 5g 2022 and you are begging others to help you with unlocking your att branded moto g stylus.

ATT never sells moto edge+ 5g. There is no att variant moto edge+ 5g at all.
For Motorola phones, usually only unlocked version, t-mobile/metro, t-mobile MVNOs, boost mobile, us cellular and google fi versions are eligible for bootloader unlock. ATT, tracfone, ATT MVNOs, verizon and verizon MVNO versions are never eligible for bootloader unlock.
Visible version used to be fully unlocked version and eligible for bootloader unlock but after visible enforcing 60-day sim-lock policy, visible is shipping dedicated visible version or verizon version motorola phones and they are no longer eligible for bootloader unlock.

I have always been able to unlock T-Mobile/Metro this is my first time dealing with a Verizon bootloader. So basically there is no way to accomplish this.
T-Mobile/ Metro by T-Mobile are bootloader unlock eligible almost immediately, though I have heard of people running into trouble with it before successfully unlocking a few days or a week later. T-Mobile requires the phone to be paid for before SIM unlocking for use with another carrier, and Metro requires you to keep service for 6 months before they'll allow you to network unlock.

try flasing wtih the tmobile file
download the coverter.bat to platform-tools folder and also extract the zip of the tmo firmware
click on convert.bat to creat a flashfile.bat
put your phone on fastboot or bootloader mode the same when you turn off you phone and hold volume down and powre together when you get to fastboot screen
just click the flashfile.bat
and it will flash your phone then try the above i mentioned to unlock bootloader instructions
thats how i did it
i have tmobile service so it worked out for me
maybe after unlock your bootloader you can reflash the same way for your service like
att, boost mobile, cricket, retus, tmobile or tracfone
again my phone is the xt-2131 version
also everytime you reflash something and have the option to go to the phone setting you have to oem unlock
and adb debuggin on so that you dont brick it

Question "Your device does not qualify for bootloader unlocking." - Can't OEM Unlock Bootloader - XT2131-1 MOTOROLA Moto G Stylus 5G (2021) CID: 0x0032

Hello all, new user and newbie to this whole process.
I've been trying to unlock my bootloader using Motorola's website tool for getting the Unlock Key, but it gives me the message "Your device does not qualify for bootloader unlocking."
What the heck?
I've searched through a few other posts here stating that my device SHOULD be able to be BL unlocked based on the CID, and I'm at a loss here.
Here's some additional information and stuff I've tried.
MODEL: XT2131-1 MOTOROLA Moto G Stylus 5G (2021) [DENVER]
CID # 0x0032 - SPECTRUM
Not carrier-locked, tried another SIM Card to check
SECURESTATE: oem_locked
[USING FASTBOOT + ADB on Linux (Pop!_OS, Debian)
I had tried doing "adb reboot bootloader" then then "fastboot oem get_unlock_data". I got my Device ID and entered it into Motorola's site as 1 long string as it said and it said my device didn't qualify.
What does it mean by "qualify"? Do I have to take any additional steps to unlock it?
If anyone can provide information on this that would be awesome!
According to the Lenovo Forums, It seems to be an issue with the site, as many other devices that should be eligible (mine included) are getting that message.
