I am a Verizon user, and from what I hear, only sprint users are privy to the new Blackboard Mobile app on the market... I didn't even know that Google differentiated between providers as to what they are allowed to download until today... Anyhow, if someone could upload the Blackboard Mobile apk, I would greatly appreciate it. I know other Verizon users are also looking for this and I'll gladly share it with them also.
If you don't know what Blackboard Mobile is, it's an online classroom environment used by universities so students can see assignments, download notes, and upload homework - The app is free to download, but is, for whatever the reason, restricted to Sprint users only.
Thanks for your help!

Thanks for the upload! But the program itself is still restricted to sprint phones... The apk installs, and the app opens, but when I chose my school, it says that I am not on a Sprint Device and refuses to load anything... How restarted.
Thanks for your help though! Maybe some genius programmer on the Verizon side knows how to fool an app into believing I'm on a sprint network..

You could possibly trick it by shutting off your cellular connection and use wifi... not sure though.
Good luck, bummer it didn't work out.
I didnt even know this existed either, hoping my school enabled mobile also.
just like the iphone version.. still doesnt work with my school either.. whats the deal JUST ACCEPT THE FREAKING APP UNIVERSITIES
should i go ask tomorrow? hahha
wow, nice find! My school hasn't enabled it either though. What can you do with it?
Just a thought. Try loading a Sprint PRL. That may do the trick.
Awesome thanks! My school uses blackboard and I never thought to look for an app for it.
This is great. Downloading now
Edit: It crashes all the time on me. Not stable for my Evo
Why would anyone want this? It has a 2-star rating on the Market. It looks like total trash.
I read about this coming months ago and then forgot. Thanks for reminding me!

If you go to school, or your organization uses blackboard its actually quite handy my friend.. only reason the review is so low is because its sprint exclusive. So people try to use it, can't, and rate it bad. What do you want in a blackboard app, naked women and free drinks?
It wasnt working on the evo, emailed dev and they fixed it within a day. it works now and it works great, id give it 4 or 5 stars definitely worth it.
Alot of school's havent activated this, I asked my school about it, and they said they haven't added it because they haven't got the site where they want it, feature wise, before they add it. Even though I doubt what they do will have any effect on this.
And yeah, the bad ratings are because of all the people ranting about it only being for sprint.
This page is just an example page, but it illustrates my point:

There is the "Add new comment" field, I can click in it and start typing but I CAN'T paste (or cut/copy) - no matter how long i keep my finger pressed on the screen nothing happens.
Any idea on how I could get to paste? (I don't have a dock)
Is there perhaps some softkeyboard which has a "paste" button?
A.I. type has a paste feature built in. There is a free version available in the market.
Sent from my HTC Sensation XE with Beats Audio using xda premium
having the same problem
Wow, that's really a bug then.
Thanks kushXmaster I'll try it out.
Ive had a similar issue since forever, and now am wondering if im the only one. Basically sometimes when im typing a reply, on xda for example in the stock browser, it wont let me backspace and when i tap to move the cursor it kind of tries to highlight text. Also if i move the cursor with the arrows built into hackers keyboard, it just highlights text. All this makes editing text near impossible. Sometimes i can get it to go back to normal but i have no idea how. Its actualy messed up right now as im typing this. Happens usually on forums like thisor blogs like droid-life.

I was about to write, "But it wasn't this site I had a problem with" when I released I hadn't added the link in the original post????? (Or did a mod remove the link??)
I'm not a newb, I know how to copy and paste, and it works fine on xda, but on some sites I can't get it to work, like this one:
http://twit.tv/show/frame-rate/50
Can you make it work there?
My comment about opera not working was because I couldn't get it to work on the twit site, just like the stock didn't work either.

First of all, we're not mind readers here. If you're going to ask for help, at least be specific. Can you imagine going to a doctor for a stomach pain but then only tell your doctor "hey doc, I'm in pain, I won't tell you anything else. Try to guess what my problem is."
This isn't scavenger hunt.
There are software incompatibilities with certain html codes for text input. Android tablet softwares are in its infancy. In fact, it is expected that not everything is compatible. Either learn to live with it or get an ipad. I hear those things are perfect.

Yeah up yours idiot. I asked if someone could help, if you can't, learn to shut up.
OK ok Sorry about that. Been a long and cranky day with a big headache.
So, sweety, for now there is no way around the incompatibilities between the online softwares and the tablet browsers. For all intent and purposes, the tablet platform is still in its infancy.
Apple has solved the incompatibilities by making their mobile safari to not show the contents at all, giving the illusion that everything is all right. Heck, apple devices crash just as often as everything else. The reason most people think apple devices don't crash is because when they do crash there's no error message. In android and microsoft, when something crashes there's an error or force close message. But in iOS, nothing shows up, giving the illusion that everything is ok.
The point is incompatibility issues are headaches you have to run into if you want to walk in the real world. If you don't want the choices and want to live in the blissful walled garden of apple where you're not presented a choice at all, then the ipad is your best choice.
In other news, flash just committed suicide.

Sorry, didn't realize grammar was an issue on xda. Thank you for your response though I really appreciate it. Was kinda hoping for more of a detailed response. I'm not a very educated person. Just about everythng i know is self taught. I'm not very familiar with VPNs though. Probably nothing that google cant figure out though

No problem, it was just hard to understand what you were asking. A VPN is a server your phone can connect to that will ensure secure and potentially encrypted traffic. The only problem is that it costs money to rent one, and setting up your own is pretty technical, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't try. There's plenty of guides online.
As for Linux, Android uses a modified Linux version that pretty much breaks all of its usefulness as a Linux machine. I recently tried to install native SSH and cron services for my phone and gave up because they weren't cooperating. If you want actual Linux utilities on your phone your best bet is to try and find an app that does it. Or you can get gritty with BusyBox.

Anyone know an easy way to make Chrome always open in desktop mode?
I did a search and it looks difficult to me. I use my tablet primarily for surfing the web and watching videos but I really prefer the Chrome desktop mode. If it can't be done I think this becomes a serious drawback for using the S7 Plus.

Hey folks. Thanks for the suggestions but I don't even know what ADB is. I was hoping there would be some app to download and install. With any luck Google will make a change in Android 11 if they ever want to truly compete with Apple in the tablet business.

Please be patient as I'll probably ask some of the most irritating questions over the most basic stuff. Like what's this and what's that. Anyways thank you guys for the help so far and for having me.

Hey guys. Sorry about the horrible response time. Life been hectic recently. But no I have not set up a adb. I don't even know what that does entirely or the purpose of it. I got a pixel 6. Not the pro. Nope I haven't even tried to do the adb yet as I'm not entirely sure of what it does or the purpose of it. As of right now nothing too specific. I'd like to know what the adb does and it's purpose and I'd like to eventually get to root this thing so I can have better control. So many options are greyed out for me that I know for a fact weren't recently. The settings I do change end up reverting back sometimes almost as soon as I leave the app. Settings for me is always crashing when i do something Google doesn't approve of. It's driving me bananas. Sometimes I'll literally sit here for hours fighting with this damned thing just to do something simple like play my music at the eq settings I want.

Yes. You can remove system apps. Do not go crazy though, if you delete a needed app your device could soft brick.
How to uninstall pre-installed system apps (bloatware) from Android phones without root
Android phones from most brands come with at least some amount of bloatware or unwanted apps. These could be in the form of common apps like Google Play Movies, Netflix & Facebook, or some truly useless junk. Some brands allow users to uninstall the bundled apps while others make them system...

Adb can be done on a PC. It is possible from your device without pc but it costs money and works way worse.

Is there a list of the system apps for a pixel 6 and what exactly they pertain to?
Not exactly any list. Pixels have the least bloat of any phones I know. Use a list with a file manager or app list app. Delete what seems unneeded. If in doubt, keep.
You can also get debloater which allows you to uninstall with one clcik. It is installed on your pc. You can google to find it.
Some things you can uninstall are Easter eggs, game optimization services, apps that you don’t need that you can see. Don’t delete any needed system services, settings, anything you think the phoen needs to function. Also, ones you uninstall, you can reinstall, but getting bricked and having to enter adb mode and finding what you need to reinstall is very frustrating and panicky (forgot the word).
App list app? So to do the adb the right way I get on my PC and do what?
I know what you mean. Messing with this thing I've already "soft bricked" it over 5 times. Longest was for bout 2 days. I don't know how to do safe boot or adb mode so it took me fiddling with it and messing with even more **** I don't get to fix it. Managed to not have to resort to factory reset tho. Kinda proud of myself for that.
Will I need to carrier unlock this before I do anything? My oem thing in developer settings is still gray. I know I'm still carrier locked.
