Hi guys,
I'm currently experiencing problems with mt watch. I cleared it from bluetooth. So now when i pair to the watch it shows up twice iny bluetooth list. Once with a headphone and once with a regular bluetooth icon.
I can only connect to the headphone one. Also when i try to connect it trough Galaxy wearable it doesn't connect. I tried turninf developer mode on and off on both devices. I also tried rebooting both of em multiple times and toggle bluetooth on and off.
I tried reinstalling galaxy wear app but didnt work. I also dont wanna wipe all my data from the watch by pressing "Add new device"
Im on Xiamo Poco x3 Pro MIUI 13. And watch is base firmware and stuff. Please can someone help me out? Thanks !
Try a network reset.
Wearables needs all it's permissions enable and Google play Services enabled.
It can be a pain...

It's quit the menace when it behaves like this.
Make sure all the Samsung apps have all their permissions or it will puke on you. Try clearing the data in the Samsung apps or reinstalling them. The network reset option doesn't always work but it's nice when it does. Try clearing the system cache if that's an option.
If you do a factory reset without finding the root cause, it's likely to reoccur... not recommended.
First you need to go into your phone 's blue tooth and remove the two watch connections. Once you have done this, you need to use the Wear app to connect the watch. If it will not connect, then try clearing the cache and data for the wear app and then repairing the watch via the Wear app.

if you unpair it from bt you are done ;D just format it
Update: Yea i eventually reset the watch and tried pairing it again. After a few failed tries i got trough the initial process and was able to pair it. Took me around two hours to set it up completely. on the plus side; i feel battery is lasting longer ! Thank you all for the help tho !
Good to hear.

Ive had my Smartwatch 2 for 3 months and it and my Samsung Galaxy S3 are running up to date software on Smart Connect and Smartwatch 2.
The problem I have is that because of the shape of my house (long and thin) when i'm at home my watch will often lose its bluetooth link with the phone and simply reconnect when I come back in to range. At least it does MOST of the time.
But randomly I get the message "Pairing with device will clear data from previously paired device". It then requires a reset on the watch and unpairing the watch and repairing on the phone.
There seems to be no logic to these "lock-ups". Sometimes I can go in and out of range once and it locks...sometimes I get no lock-ups all day. Sometimes i'm out of range for a few seconds, sometimes minutes. It seems as though something prevents the automatic repairing on some occassions and not others. And sometimes you have no idea the watch has failed to repair because that message sometimes also fails to appear.
Everything else about the watch I like...but this is driving me nuts.
Are there any rules to how the watch handles bluetooth. As nobody else on here seems to have mentioned this maybe its something i'm doing wrong.
Any advice would be appreciated.

I have the same phone and watch combo and mine connects back up again without any problems. Is your S3 rooted and if so, with which ROM? I am guessing your watch is on the latest firmware.
I am using a 4.1.2 ROM called BoneStock, but will flash one of the new 4.3 ROMs (now leaning towards MOAR TW 4.3).

Thankyou very much for your replies.
I am now more confused as it does seem there is some sort of problem with my set-up between the watch and my Samsung S3.
The firmware on the watch is up to date as is the Smart Connect app and the Smartwatch 2 app.
My S3 is running stock 4.1.2 (and not rooted) and I have no desire to update it with all the problems that might bring.
It doesn't seem as though there are any further settings on the watch I could try adjusting. There doesn't seem to be any further Bluetooth settings on my S3 but I would love to be corrected if i'm wrong.
Any ideas?
I have an S4 and mine has locked up and refused to reconnect again. the first few times i had to reset the watch to get it going again but i figured out how to fix it without having to reset.
if they are refusing to reconnect i just goto my phone and unpair the watch, then do a scan for bluetooth devices and it should find the watch ... pair and everything should be fine. no resets or uninstalls needed.

Thankyou for the suggestion. This will make the re-pairing process a little simpler and I will try it.
But I am hoping to work out why the phone and watch sometimes lock up when they they should reconnect automatically.
I go out of range often and lose the connection, it then often won't reconnect. I've found the fastest way to get it to reconnect is to turn the Bluetooth off on the watch and then back on again. As long as the smart connect app is running on the phone it will then reconnect, most of the time. This is using an s3 and omnirom.

hello everybody.
i recently got a problem , as we know, in the dev option , there is a setting that enables mobile data on even while Wi-Fi is connected.
i set it on , and then once i connect to wifi the data off immediately.
first of all i thought might be some of my apps interfering the system so i just did factory reset , 0 app installed , i didn't even update the pre-installed apps.
but still same thing , i tried reboot like dozens times, enable disable wifi , enable disable data connection ...etc.
nothing works out...
any idea please ?

So basically you want both on at the same time? Or to change automatically from WiFi to LTE when not in WiFi range?

i wanna them on at same time , just like the screenshots of this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/s7-edge/help/wifi-data-time-t3349520
i have been googling around , funny thing is i saw few users got them on at same and try to get rid of it and i am desperately try to get them on ...
Can confirm it worked using developers options setting, 4G & WiFi enabled simultaneously yesterday when I read this thread
Just tried it again now and it won't enable 4G unless I disable WiFi
Looks like a bug with the OS, not just you
Report to Samsung and hope for a fix
Just download Google duo app and run.

I've been using the stock Touchwiz ROM on my Note 4 with no problems but changed to Lineage OS 14 last night.
I can get the watch to connect to my phone and the Android Wear app detects it. Adding the Google account was a bit of a pain but eventually sorted that.
The only problem I've got is I get no internet through the Bluetooth connection. And the Huawei app doesn't find the watch. Any ideas of anything I could try to fix it? Notifications are working and I can make a call using the watch but internet access only works with WiFi. Just using the Bluetooth connection shows the crossed out cloud icon.
I had the same problem... After trying a few things, then I realised that I had turned off data mobile for android wear app in order to save data.
That was all, now it's working perfectly
Thanks for the reply, unfortunately that doesn't solve my problem It's definitely a Bluetooth issue with Lineage OS on my Note 4.
When I was using Touchwiz the watch said "Connected" in the Bluetooth settings. When using Lineage OS the watch says "Disconnected" even though it is paired and can receive information from apps on the phone, including notifications. It just doesn't pass the internet connection through it.
I have same problem. I did reset watch and now working connection via Bluetooth.

Glad to see im not alone . Having the very same issue with my note 4 on lineage 14.1 and my ticwatch e. Everything works but internet over bt.... Originally noticed the problem when adding my google account. Had to skip it until i was able to setup wi-fi. Paired the watch to my girls s7 with no problems at all and watch was fully functional. Anyone have an idea as to whats goin on here?
---------- Post added at 10:32 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:30 PM ----------
Ive tried factory resetting both the watch and phone multiple times but everything points to a problem within lineage.
Solved
Solved for me, need active Bluetooth tethering in the phone (shared internet connection through Bluetooth)
Settings > networks>tethering> "Bluetooth tethering"
I'm glad it works for you... ever since the 2.0 update, I've had nothing but problems too... I lost all notifications for a while, but then got them back by killing all the power saving BS on my Xiaomi phone for the Wear OS app. But now I can't get internet over Bluetooth, I've tried everything and now about to give up. I've done the following:
-Reset it (full reset on watch and removed app on phone)
-played around with both the settings on the phone app and the watch
-tried to enable bluetooth tethering (option gets turned off everytime i turn my phone off though...)
-tried mucking around with the bluetooth profiles
So i'm **** out of luck now lol
Same to me, I tried to reboot and reset both but no luck.
I'm using mi5 with global ROM
In my xiaomi works use this setings on Wear OS app.
https://dontkillmyapp.com/xiaomi
What I did, I disconnected the phone from the WearOS app on my phone and re-connected it. Now it works...?? WTF? Really annoying issue.
Great. Thanks. that disconnected cloud icon finally went away. Still seems watch can't connect to WiFi though.
Is there any way to force watch to connect to WiFi?
Phone: Xiaomi Poco X3 nfc
So, I got the Watch4 BT the 27th and it worked okay after resetting and reinstalling about 4 times. But now, out of nowhere, my phone wouldn't connect to the watch anymore this morning. I but the bullet and did a reset once again.
Now it works fine again and it restored my backup properly.
But then I try to install my apps again via the store and I just can't connect. Not via the phone's internet and also not via the watch's internet.
Any solution to this? Because I'm on the verge of just returning the watch altogether.

It seems to work, this way. But before, it used to connect to the internet through Bluetooth just fine.. So that would be more ideal than this.
Edit: I toggled Bluetooth tethering again and rebooted my phone. This seems to make it work again.
Hey everyone,
As the title says I have a problem with Google Assistant. It's stuttering when it is set to voice output. Basically it is unusable I had to turn off the voice. I have already rebooted both phone and watch, resetting the watch two times actually. Nothing helped. I think it is maybe a Bluetooth problem I don't know I have a xiaomi 11 lite 5g. I never had any issues with Bluetooth before like pairing earbuds or my previews smartwatch which was an amazfit GTS 2e. Bixby voice on the watch voice output is fine and also Bluetooth calls are also fine. The only thing that I did and helped but it's not a solution at all was to turn off Bluetooth on my watch and phone and turn on Wi-Fi on the watch then the assistant was fluent. I don't know what else to do.
I posted my problem to Reddit to Google support, here, and although there are other people that have the same problem no solution so far. Oh well
same on my galaxy watch 4 classic 46mm:
posted on reddit, no answer for me as well
talked to samsung customer service, they told me the usual stuff like factory resettiung it, and after i assured them i tested it, they told me to send it in. now im without my watch and have a feeling that nothing will come from it..

Sorry to hear that. I don't think it's the watch fault. I has to be something with the phone. I have a xiaomi m11 lite 5g. On Reddit someone else had the same problem with a nothing phone. What phone do you have?
right now its working fine for me, could be multiple reasons.
i assume its either stopping and starting the BT connection, or enabling contacts access for the watch in the phones BT menu.
Please just do all of the steps and we can try to narrow it down later:
On the watch:
make sure you have wifi enabled and are connected to a network
disable bluetooth in the watch settings
start google assistant and ask a question
(for me, i startet assistant like 3 times before it honored my wifi connection. before it just said im offline)
for me (and for several others who experienced the stutter) the answer is now not stuttering
go back to the settings and reactivate bluetooth
On the phone:
go to bluetooth settings
tap on your watch and make sure you have "Calls" and "Contact access" enabled. or any other permission you can give, for me its just those two
restart your phone and watch
Now, im connected via bluetooth (wifi on the watch still enabled), and it doesnt stutter.
idk what it is or if it will still work when i deactivate my wifi network or the wifi option on the watch, but for now, its the first time that it works for me
ill report back after some more testing (i will try to deactivate my wifi network at home, still keeping the watches wifi turned on. if it still works, i will disable the wifi on the watch)
In my original post as I said I have already done the wifi solution. The assistant response in fluent but as soon as I disable the wifi the stuttering returns. Also I have those two options on the phones Bluetooth enabled. I really want to thank you for trying. Maybe we can get to the bottom of this. if anything changes I will post.
Ok for me, deactivating the Network and deactivating WiFi in the watch itself did still Work, so my stutter is gone.. but im Sure i will Loop Back to Here when it comes Back, which it probably will

Do you have the lte version of the watch? Because you said deactivate the network. I tried the solution you gave me which is I turned on the Wi-Fi on the watch and turned off Bluetooth and assistant was working fine. But as soon as I activated Bluetooth again on my watch the stutter came back. Happy for you nevertheless
no i have the wifi only version. by deactivating the network, i meant i will shut down my wifi network at home. so the watch still has wifi enabled, but doesnt have any connection via wifi whatsoever

Aaaand its over. Stutter is Back.
I am on the Go at the Moment but tomorrow i will Invest some time and reproduce my steps, Testing every step of the way
That's a bummer. Sorry to hear it's back. Iam also trying different things but iam running out of ideas.
I dont think it's any particular thing but, here's what I did between when it worked last time and now:
Situation when it last worked:
Home, wifi, phone connected
Event protocol:
Phone turned off for faster charging
Watch taken off (locked itself)
Watch put on charger until 100%
Phone powered up again and removed from charger
Watch removed from charger, put on wrist, unlocked
Left house (no wifi for watch anymore)
Changed watch settings to access Google pay on double tap
Most if not all of this sounds unrelated but it may be interesting to reproduce or once someone figures it out
I also got it to work without stutter for a couple of questions answered when I switched off and then switched on the Bluetooth on my phone. But it didn't work every time I did that.
Can you try doing a network speed test on your phone when this happens? I've had this happen, but only when I was on a very slow WiFi connection or bad cellular network connection.

I did but the network speed is fine. In fact the only time the assistant is working properly is when the watch is connected to a wifi network and not Bluetooth
I have the same problem with the GW5 Bluettooh.
With Bluetooh on, the voice output always stutters.
With deactivated Bluetooth, only with WLAN it doesn't stutter.
Has anyone found a solution?
I use a Huawei P20pro as my cell phone
Thanks
