does this mean there's a possibility of not having to wipe user data for every single custom rom flash?

yes, hopefully. I'm getting super tired of constantly backing up data just to try out custom rom for this device, Im also sincely wish someone could make a good tweak for a better audio configs if that's possible

kernow
I compiled the kernel successfully. All of the sensors, wifi and sound doesn't work. I am on MIUI 12.1.1 Global Android 11. Is this a MIUI bug or kernel bug? I tried enabling sensors drivers and still same.
OOOOH YEEES
now let's contact some devs to ask them if they could make a custom kernel
this would be great if NoGravityKernel or Hydra kernel would be available. 70-90hz gaming would be insanely cool. hope we'll get those type of mods. with corvus os android 11 and it would be ultragaming experience.

I'm wondering how can 90hz on software would be noticeable as the display refresh rate is 60hz,
This is pheonix kernel source. Where is toco kernel source?

I saw this too, why it's written at phoenix kernel and not at toco?
Anyway, let's hope now for official custom recovery's with nand backup.

well idk but in other phones it works too
like Mi 8, you can go up to 90hz by installing custom kernel that can overclock to 90hz
anyways we'd still need custom kernels because stock ram management isn't that good

yeah, soooo sorry am a bit late. but there is an kernel named "BLUESEA" for this device. if i remember correctly there is one another named "shiruneko" the naming might be wrong for this one, but you get the point. Anyways they usually upload these kernel on their telegram only.

sorry bruh, but these kernels are only meant to be run on "Q vendor" which only comes with miui 12.5. Miui 12.0 only comes with vendor R if i remember correctly. So, android 10 miui can't use this kernel

Being honest, i havent been able to make this work on any rom at all, so maybe it also depends on the device?

Donno man, am using crdroid 9.1 with android 13 with this kernel. I also used BOOTLEGGERS android 13 rom and crdroid 7~ with andorid 11 with this kernel and it just works perfectly. speaking of which, my specs-
Ram-4GB
ROM-64gb
Processor-mtk G25 ( IT SPECIFIES AS HELIO P22 IN CPU-Z even on stock rom probably because this phone is running in 32-bit only mode)
Indian variant for those wondering.
Kernel- BLUESEA SEGGS
Recovery- PITCH BLACK RECOVERY

yup, probably. but i don't think that's the case as the kernel was made with REDMI 9A(2GB variant of this device) in mind. Anyways what rom are you flashing this on?
